I’ve never felt more wanted by a man. A man who tells me I’m beautiful, a man who protects me, a man who praises everything I do. Grant Whitney, power-attorney, somehow sees something in me, just another poor girl forgotten by society. And for once in my life, I feel like there may be hope for me. But there’s one major problem; Grant is my boyfriend’s father.

This book made me giggle from page one. Our heroine was witty and didn’t take anyones BS. Growing up in a very abusive environment with her parents it was hard for Nikki to trust anyone.
When the book begins she is dating a human bag of garbage Reed!! He treats her like he’s got all the options in the world and she is just a burden. He lies and he makes her feel like she is less than. He even said he likes dating girls like her who are “working girls” like hello 1950’s come collect your bastard.
After that conversation not only does Nikki find out how scandalous Reed is but they break up. Nikki is upset but she won’t let this man ruin her. What she doesn’t know is that Reed’s lovely handsome “Stepfather” will be the one to come save her day and ultimately save her heart.
This book was soo stinking cute I could scream !!🥰😍🙂😍!! Happy reading everyone!!

I love taboo romance (step sibs, age gap guardian, ect.) and this one only has one foot in the taboo door. The heroine was dating an entitled asshole (thankfully doesn’t give her body to him) and while she can barely stand the asshat BF, she is drawn to his STEP father (since it’s only a stepdad, this doesn’t make it all that taboo for me.)
Still, it was a quick, enjoyable story of a girl falling for a real man and being claimed by him. The hero is not an asshole, doesn’t come off as a manwhore, and doesn’t treat or speak to the heroine in a degrading manner. He treats her like a princess and I loved that.
Safe-ish (I mean, the heroine was dating another guy even if she wasn’t spreading her legs for him). Hero’s past is mentioned (he was married before) but it’s not explicit. Virgin heroine, belongs only to the hero. No cheating or abuse. HEA with epilogue
2.5 ⭐️ This one was all right - my round down is based more on mood as at another time it might be a round up or full 3. I had already tried several instalove shorts before getting to this one and was irritated none of them were working for me. This one had the age gap and ex's dad and I think some daddy lite talk (if I remember right?) which are all things I like, but I didn't love their particular insta-aspect or the story in general.
I love age-gap stories and I really like boyfriend’s dad stories but this one didn’t work well for me. I felt like for 90% of the book Grant came off as a sleepy creeper. Maybe it was because we didn’t get enough chapters in his POV, I don’t know. Normally I’m a sucker for those men but Grant did nothing for me.
The step-father of her boyfriend just appears at her home almost immediately after the break-up and brings her to his home to have sex. Real nice guy.
“Oh, yeah.” He nods. “I know you don’t seem to like your mom much, but you should thank her for those, gorgeous, because those are absolute perfection.”
And this part right here made me so disgusted that I had to stop. Why would you bring up her mother?
Christ, I can’t believe how much fun I’m having with her. I’m a very guarded man, but I’m completely vulnerable around her, teasing and messing around like I’m back in high school again. I can’t remember ever feeling this way in my life.
Grant had a crush on Nikki from the moment he saw her. He was instantly attracted to her, but soon realized that she was dating his stepson. Despite this, he couldn't help but keep a close eye on her, always treating her with care and attention. Everything changed when he found out that Nikki and his stepson had broken up. This was his opportunity to make her his own.
Is this what love feels like?
I wouldn’t know. I’ve never felt it before. I’ve said it before to other women, trying to convince myself that I was actually experiencing it, but I think I knew deep down in my heart that I was just pretending.
Maybe that’s why those relationships never worked out. Maybe I was just waiting for the universe to lead me to Nikki. Because now there’s a feeling deep down in my core, a feeling more powerful than anything I could ever hope to describe, a feeling that I know is going to change everything.
I'm really happy when a book includes the Hero's point of view, so I can get inside his head and see just how crazy he was about h.
“I’m not on birth control. I-I never needed to be.” “I don’t care,” I tell her. “In fact, I like that.”
Her body quivers beneath mine as I shift my strokes to deeper, slower, more precise. She’s close, and I’m keeping her right on the edge.
“You-you do?”
“Yes, gorgeous.” I smile. “Nothing would make me happier than getting you pregnant, and do you know why?” Nikki’s cheeks blush. God, she’s so adorable. A warm feeling rushes through my chest. I smooth a piece of her hair back and kiss her gently on the lips. “Because I love you, Nikki.”
Hero was way older than h, like 20 years older. But man, he was such a Gentleman throughout the entire book. He was the kind of dude who could give a girl not just professional support, but also emotional support. Right from the start, he had Nikki's back and never stopped showering her with compliments.
“Nikki,” I say, moving in and dropping to one knee. Her eyes go wide, and her jaw drops. I didn’t even have this planned, but it feels right, so I’m going with it. I take her hand in mine and pull it close.
“I would never lie to you. I want you to know that the first time I ever set eyes on you, I was stunned by your beauty. I wanted to come and talk to you then, give you some cheesy pickup line and take you to dinner, but you were with Reed then so I couldn’t. Only when you two broke up did my whole world begin to shine. Only when you were mine did I truly realize how much I was missing in my life, and I would never jeopardize that for some random girls popping champagne at my house. I would never jeopardize our relationship for anything, Nikki.”
Oh my god, Grant was super nice and he was such a cool, mature hero. At first, I wasn't really expecting it because everything happened so quickly. But all the little things that Grant did for Nikki really showed me how much he cared. It was a quick read, but I absolutely loved it. 😍♥️ ♥️

Nikki comes from a poor family and has one big dream to become a writer. Her father actively discourages her and her mother doesn't support her either. Both of her parents have dinking problems. Her mother's only ambition for Nikki is for her to marry her rich boyfriend and to escape the valley. Nikki isn't interested in using a man for his money. She dated Reed because at first he really showed an interest in her but recently it seems that Reed doesn't even want to be with her any more. Nikki stayed with him longer than she should because she really enjoyed spending time with Reed's dad, Grant. The Nikki finds out Reed has been cheating on her and that he only dated her to get her v-card. Nikki breaks things up and goes home. To her surprise a few hours later, she finds Grant at her door apologizing for Reed's behavior. She is shocked when she realizes that Grant is interested in her too.
Grant is Reed's stepdad and he has had very little to do with raising him. He just promised his ex that he would take care of Reed until he graduated from college. One day Reed brought his girlfriend Nikki home and Grant met her. He is surprised by the desire he has for his son's girlfriend but he is honorable enough to keep his distance. Then Reed complains about their breakup to Grant. Grant finally has a chance at Nikki and he won't waste it. He will show Nikki how a true man would treat her.

The book opens with, Nikki is not sure, why she is dating, Reed. They are both in college, but, Reed comes from a more affluent family. He was more attentive and genuine with his comments when they first start dating. Now it’s like he is doing it like it's a chore to, check off. In the same breath, criticizing her, too.
Nikki wants to be a writer, but, she gets no emotional support, from her parents. Her mom, just wants her to stay with, Reed. No reason other than, he's rich. As far as, her dad, he goes along with her mom, to keep her mom, off his ass. On the night of their last date, she figures out three things.
One, she has only continued dating, Reed for those rare times they get to spend with, Grant, his dad. Two, that she needs to break up with, Reed. He is just going through the motions of dating which have nothing to do with her. The third, Reed has been keeping secrets that would have hurt and humiliated her if she were truly into him. Which she is not.
Her biggest surprise, of that horrible encounter with, Reed comes within an hour of arriving home. Mind you, she has removed her bra, and put on sweatpants, and an oversized tee-shirt. A knock at the door, makes her think it just may be, Reed. But, nope. It is, Grant.
See how quickly her life turns around when she finds out she wasn't the only one n fantasizing. A cute book. Reed is horrible.
Was good, but was entirely too rushed. Them saying I love you on day 2, both of them feeling like they are in love after only a day of actually being around each other (yes they had known of and seen each other once, so these feelings were festering for 2 months and love has no bounds, but no) just way to quick. Nikki giving up her virginity on day 2 even though she said she wouldn't until she knows for sure that the guy is a good guy, loves her, and she feels truly comfortable. She said that the son was really good to her at first, so if you'll give it up to his dad after he's been good to you for 2 days but not the son that was good to you for 2 weeks or whatever it was... Then after only a week he's moving her in and a week later proposing bc that seems to be the only way to get her to know that he really likes her and wouldn't cheat...enjoyed it but everything was way to rushed, and they were way to in love to not even known each other. And age gap doesn't bother me but they just casually threw in that he was 39 and she was 18 and nobody even hesitated, or thought twice🤷🏽♀️

⚜Rate:★★★✩✩ ⚜
English "Her Boyfriend's Father" by Jenna Rose is a novella, standalone, steamy romance.
Nikki, 18, is tired of her relationship with her boyfriend because he doesn't pay much attention to her. She decides to break when she realizes that she is just another one of his long conquests. What she didn't expect was that his stepfather, Grant Whitney, 39, would come to her house to apologize for his stepson's behavior. A man that from the beginning, she saw with different eyes.
It's definitely a new Jenna Rose book, short and loaded with explosive romance.
Nikki had to break up with her boyfriend no matter what, that relationship wasn't going anywhere. His naivete only wanted to reclaim his v-card, but Nikki was well-focused and realized he was playing her.
When Grant shows up on the scene, Nikki was in angst because her boyfriend and her family's treatment of her. Grant, simply |gave her a place, love, and strength to fight for her dream. Grant himself filled her with life and stepped into her life, showing her what love and passion is all about.
I liked the story and Grant's sweet manner toward Nikki, simply a kind of prince charming to the rescue. ⚜Rate:★★★✩✩ ⚜
My reviews are always spoilerish. Because I like to delve into things. So take that as you will.
Overall thoughts Eghhhhh this wasn't great. There were some typos. Reed being called Grant in one scene threw me for a second. Also why was this so fucking boring? This mother fucker was like 60 pages and I still skimmed most of it.
Tropes and Kinks Virgin h (but she can take a huge dick and come from it the first time like a champ *rolls eyes*), ex-boyfriend's step dad, class differences, breeding kink, almost a daddy kink, baby in the epilogue, insta love/lust, age gap
Spice Megh. He goes down. She goes down. They fuck. They fuck again at the end.
Characters Grant and Nikki are boring as fuck when they're not fucking. And the few times they are even that is boring.
Plot I honestly skimmed the plot because it was boring and I just wanted to read the sex scenes.
I really liked this age-gap, slightly taboo story. It was entertaining and enjoyable. The characters were interesting and likable for the most part. Elaine was definitely a piece of work. Nikki's parents were completely lame. Reed needed to do a lot of growing up and definitely deserved some comeuppance for the way that he treated people. Grant and Nikki were attracted to each other when they first met but didn't act. When the way for them to be together was clear, they both were willing to take that jump. There was a tiny bit of drama/angst. I loved their happily ever after. I recommend reading this book.
