She wants a husband and kids. A billionaire international player? Absolutely not…
Read Baptiste and Samira's scorching hot contemporary romance duet--together in the same volume.
NO ORDINARY LOVE Samira Palmer isn’t dating anymore. Not after last time. And especially not bad boys. Her career is the only relationship she wants to be in these days, and they’re damn good together. Even if she can’t bring her job to the costume ball as a date. She didn’t expect fate to literally run into her in the form of a handsome, green-eyed Frenchman.
Jean-Baptiste is not just handsome--he’s a sex god. And not just rich--he’s a billionaire. So of course he isn’t just a bad boy. He’s also an emotionally unavailable player.
Opposites always attract… and the sparks flying between them could set the whole town aflame. But how can they hope for a happy ending when neither is ready to let the other in?
BEYOND ORDINARY LOVE Jean-Baptiste Mercier is guilty as charged: an international player. His feisty, gorgeous new co-worker has him nailed. In more ways than one. No one needs to know about them. Particularly since he isn’t sure quite what “they” are. He’s ready to explore a shared future, but Samira’s walls are still up. They may be unofficially official, but she’s no closer to letting him in. The fiery chemistry between them burns hotter than ever before, but how can he convince her that he’s done with his playboy ways?
This smooth-talking French billionaire may have finally met his match. One-night stands aren’t supposed to lead to happily-ever-after. But anything is possible if you fight for it… and Baptiste never backs down from a fight...

I usually like Ann Christopher, and have enjoyed journey's end. But I found this disappointing. Why split into two books? It was just split down the middle. Also, I found Baptiste pushy and annoying. Because *he* fell in love it gives him the right to hound Samira, interrupt every conversation she dares to have in public, not give her a moment to herself and call her in the middle of the night? Seriously? Samira was also annoying with her constant pushing away. Their chemistry didn't click for me at all. In short, didn't like it. I did enjoy the her other books though.
Standalone. 3rd person dual pov. No violence. Steamy.
‘Baptiste’ was delightful. The entertaining plot involved a chance encounter, a jilted bride, a surprise twist, working together, hemming and hawing, meeting the family, confessions, attending galas, a surprise party, a trip to Paris, touring the homestead, more hemming and hawing, more confessions, and a dramatic ending. Moreover, Jean-Baptiste and Samira, the protagonists, were ideally suited for each other, but Samira didn’t get the memo for the longest time. Additionally, I appreciated the author’s vivid descriptions, including imagery, figurative language, humor, and witty word choices that created a lively tone, such as “For several long seconds, cowardice kept him paralyzed with a knee to his throat. If someone had presented him with a choice of putting his hand on the top of hers or joining the military and fighting for a year, he’d have asked for a rifle.” Overall, I liked the amusing narratives in the boxed set.
I loved being in Journey’s End again. This was a wonderful story of love at first sight. Baptiste and Samira came together at a Halloween party where he was attending a dinner with his friend Daniel to a merger in their wineries. He is a French billionaire playboy whose parents never wanted him or even gave him love. And she has been left at the altar by her gay fiancé. She has been left in all her relationships and is very uncertain as to anyone loving her. I enjoyed reading Ann Christopher again.
I have read several books by Ms. Christopher over the years and I have to say this one is my absolute favorite. Baptiste and Samira were as different as two people can be. They worlds were so different. Jet setting but vulnerable Baptiste did not know how lacking his life was until he met Samira. She was guarded and didn’t trust his love for her until he unequivocally showed her how deep his feelings were. He was so in touch with his feelings….heart melting!
I loved the hero’s journey, he had me totally convinced he fell in love instantly.
A couple of things: This is NOT 2 books told from the two points of view. Both halves are more from the hero’s POV than the heroine, and the 1st book ends abruptly and the next starts immediately. I’m not sure why they wrote the synopsis that way.
2nd, the heroine notices the throaty purr of the car engine - but the car is a Tesla, electric engines don’t purr.
The book available for free right now in the Play Books. This bundle contains two books, The duology of the story of Baptiste, a French man who fall in love with American woman. A typical Cinderella story here.
Enjoyed the story but felt that Samira's insecurities regarding love and being left lasted a little too long. No one could resist Baptists that long! It was a fun read!!!
