A wonderful book which brings together many of the things kids adore – mysteries, detective work, optical illusions… but also important lessons for them to learn and remember. With illustrations done by the author herself, the story is interactive and entertaining, offering a delightful reading experience overall.

With a five-year-old at home, I am always on the lookout for books that can surprise her. I was drawn to the title from the start, I my daughter loves detective stories. “Perspective Detective” was enjoyed by the both of us! The rhymes were spot on, the mystery easy to follow, yet entertaining, and I really loved the lessons the author sprinkled throughout her story. I think books like this one could help children not to judge a situation or person, until they have looked or analyzed what happened from all angles.

My little girl was eager to solve the mystery of the lost Teddy and she gladly joined the adventure. She was drawn to the optical illusions the author cleverly packed in the story, finding them entertaining, to say the least. The big plus of the story is the “easiness” with which the author introduces young bookworms to important themes, such as open communication, empathy, and problem solving. The story also delivers a lot of fun, with colorful illustrations that draw the attention of our little ones. I loved the combination of optical illusions and puzzles, feeling like a kid all over again.

This story represents the perfect addition to any home library, but it could also be used in the classroom to spark discussions on how we each see things differently and that is perfectly alright. It helps children understand that other people might have a different perspective or point of view, and we should never judge them, but rather try to put ourselves in their place. My daughter enjoyed the story quite a lot, and we read it several times, so we could pay more attention to the optical illusions and puzzles, as well as the clever rhymes.

What a great story! I loved everything about this fun, rhyming mystery, and so did my daughter. I also found it amazing that the author illustrated the story herself, how amazing is this? We enjoyed ourselves while following the story of the lost teddy bear, putting our brain to good use in trying to decipher the optical illusions and puzzles. The book is both fun and engaging, and as I said, it incorporates valuable lessons. Highly recommended!

Have you ever wondered what living in someone else’s shoes would be like? Or how others view the world? Perspective Detective by Cazzy Zahursky is a whimsical read that helps young readers take a step back and try to look at a situation from someone else’s perspective. It’s an excellent exercise for both young and older readers. We are introduced to Axel and Lexa, who have different views on activities they encounter throughout the day. Lexa insists that Axel took her bear, but Axel insists he did not, so they hunt for Lexa’s teddy bear. Throughout the story, we see how Lexa and Axel view things differently, which helps each character better understand the situation from the other’s perspective.

The author immerses readers into the whimsical world of Axel and Lexa as they solve the mystery of where the teddy bear is. The story’s premise is to help young readers consider another point-of-view, by including optical illusions, puzzles, and other helpful, engaging tools. I appreciated the message in the story that you don’t need to compare your life to others when things don’t go your way and try to approach difficult situations with a more positive outlook. My favorite part in the story is when Perspective Detective shares with Lexa and Axel that their names are the same, just backward. This is the perfect read to share in a classroom or at the library and for parents to share with siblings to show that they would be much happier to be an individual rather than comparing themselves to one another.

Perspective Detective by Cazzy Zahursky is a fantastic and creative look at how we can learn to appreciate things and people from another point of view. It’s a unique book ideal for school, the library, or your children’s book collection.

This is a fun and interactive story that teaches an important lesson about the way we see the world. I feel like a lot of kids will not only learn the word "perspective" through this book, but will be able to apply the meaning of it to their real lives.

Through a series of illusions, the Perspective Detective shows kids that people do not necessarily view things the same way and that it's important to consider other people's points of view. Readers of all ages will have fun exploring the illusions scattered throughout the story as they work to solve the mystery of the missing teddy. I love how the illusions made the book even more engaging! Reader's will surely connect with the moral of the story and have fun doing so.

Overall, this is such a creative book that presents a valuable lesson in a fun way. It's perfect for children to learn more about their interactions with others! I definitely recommend.

It’s a perfect book for children to start a conversation about what perception is. Because we are all so unique, our perceptions of the world can be also very different. You can have five people sitting in the room, listening to the same story and when you ask questions, you will get five different answers. Just because our background and values are different and what is important to us is different. It’s such a great conversation starter about empathy, understanding, tolerance, and allowing people to have different opinions. It can be used at home, at school or even in therapy.

This book is very unique too because through perfect rhyming story detectives will go on a search for a missing teddy. Kids will have to read hidden clues and use their senses to find out where the teddy is. Some of them are based on optical illusions and it’s a lot of fun not only for kids!

I would highly recommend it! It’s available on Amazon now, so grab yours and check it out!

a fun interactive perspective story.

What a fun read! Perspective Detective is a great rhyming book to show kids how to look at things from a different point of view, and it’s filled with fun illusions throughout the story. “She is feeling the blues. You’d understand if you walked in her shoes.” I loved looking at every page to find the hidden image from the illusion, especially the end when a secret was revealed that was in my face the entire time! LOVED THAT! This book will not only entertain your child, the message throughout is something every child should learn. I hope this Author will write another Perspective Detective book.

Perspective Detective is such a fun and cleverly illustrated rhyming mystery book that children will love! The storyline of finding a lost teddy bear is quite engaging and full of interactive visual puzzles, including many optical illusions that the author has illustrated herself.  Along with it's amazing illustrations, the story includes a very important lesson that teaches children how to view things from a different perspective, and to consider other people's point of view before making a final decision.  This is a wonderful book to have in an elementary classroom or home library. Both children and adults will love this amazing book. Highly recommended!

Very cool, interactive children's book!

This book is very engaging for kids and adults as well! The story is layered with rhyme, lessons of understanding other people's perspectives, and optical illusions. It's really neat how those three layers work so well together to form a cohesive storyline! I highly recommend this book for any kid who loves optical illusions or would benefit from the lesson of empathy. I also think this book would make a great gift for a child who doesn't normally like to read, since it's so engaging! Every child and adult who read this book will love it!

Cute and different kind of book for children
Axel and Lexa are siblings and are always fighting with each other. That is because they always believe that the other one is wrong and their point of view is right. The perspective detective comes into the picture and helps the kids. The detective helps not just in this but also in finding a teddy.
Lovely story for children and the optical illusions in the story are very well rendered. Definitely enjoyable for kids of all ages with a nice simple message.

"Perspective Detective" is a very unique book with optical illusions and illustrations to show how people can see things differently. The story is written in rhyme which works very well. The only thing that parents may want to know is that the word "swear" is used in the book to rhyme with the word bear as well as care. The story is about two sibling bears who have different perspectives on things. They have to search for a missing teddy bear. The story can be a way for parents to teach kids how to look at things differently from someone else's point of view.

Oh my gosh! This book is a must for every human being, young and old alike. Written in rhyme, it makes reading aloud fun. With optical illusions and pointed illustrations, this book drives home the point that there are two sides to every story. The way the perspectives take shape makes the book interesting and truly opens your eyes to the other side of the story without being preachy. It is totally eye-opening and the lesson packs a powerful punch. Highly recommend!

Imaginative and unique book

By reading this imaginative and beautifully illustrated mystery book, your child or children will learn how to value the perspectives of others. As this well-written story teaches, there are always two or more sides to a story and life is more complex than it appears on the surface. I highly recommend this book for all ages.

This is indeed a very thoughtful book on an important topic. Even adults find it difficult to understand others point of view and to understand the other person. It is written beautifully in simple language for kids.
