Can a sexy professor teach a woman burnt by love to trust again?
I’ve been completely and irrevocably enamored with my hot young prof since day one. I was looking forward to the end of the school year and not feeling all hot and bothered every time I stepped into class or saw him on campus. I prepared myself for one last hour of sexy male fineness delivering an impeccable lecture, then fading into a never-to-be-forgotten memory for the rest of my days. I did not expect Professor Caleb Martins would ask me to stay back after class…
USA Today Bestselling Author Imani Jay writes sweet and spicy romance with instalove, instalust, and little to no drama. Just curvy queens who get claimed by their hunky alpha males. Whether it’s in the boardroom, the mafia, OmegaVerse, or with a forbidden twist, Imani’s stories deliver high heat and heart. Ready for your next dirty pleasure? Imani’s got you covered!
Although this is pretty steamy, it was short (32 not 41 pages… I know lol… hey. Nine pages are nine pages okay 😅). I wish it was longer. Extra points for being a reverse age gap 👏🏻.
Maryem (mid thirties) has always thought her young professor, Caleb Martins (early 30s) was hot. One day, he asks to see her after class.
Yeah. You can imagine why 😉.
This was very 🔥. We find out Caleb has been eyeing Maryem ever since her curvy body came into his classroom 9 months before. Now he wants to be serious with her since she’s done with his class (and school).
Spoilers ahead…
I wish we knew more about him. We find out she’s divorced, was cheated on, and wants to achieve her goals. As for Caleb, we don’t get much but how much he wants her, his intentions with her (all good ones) and the annoyances he felt when younger girls would try to flirt with him.
Sigh. Oh well. It was a fast read.
And oh so duuuuuurty 🥵 and 🔥💦. He loves to eat 😈💅. I ain’t mad at that 💁🏻♀️😉.
There were some grammar mistakes, but overall I smiled and felt myself blushing slightly lol.
⚠️safety squad ⚠️ -no cheating/sharing/owd/omd -h divorced- was married for 10 years/cheated on -breeding/p slapping/spanking -no condoms/no talk about safety 😒 we don’t know if they’re clean or when the last time either was with someone
Professor? Sir?? I cannot!! I lost my composer from the moment I started this story and haven't gotten it back. Imani girl where do you get this inspiration!?! I knew this story would be hot but bruh.I wasn't ready. Still not ready and I read it. There are a few typos but honestly, I don't care.lol this short story was too good. I will be reading the rest of this series whenever Imani decides to share it. Five. Stars.
Like it was with the first All-Nighter book, this was again a decent novella.
It's full of steam and of course insta-love. So, there is not truly a plot, which is unfortunate. We only know, that they have a crush on each other for nine months.
And there is very little on the background front. Maryem is older than him (estimated around 35/36), Caleb is early-thirties. She is divorced (it ended because the guy cheated on her). And about Caleb? We don't get anything, other than what is told about him about his job by Maryem (professor and head of Finance department at the university, he is also a really popular consultant for companies — basically, he is a genius). But that's it. Nothing about his family, life before her and so on. Only, that he is obsessed with her from the start and has already decided to make her his.
Again, I like smut in general, like everyone else too. But still I like a well-balanced and good built up story more. With a great conclusion on top. We can only get an epilogue, as it seems, when we subscribe to the newsletter.
Not to forget, I'm a bit annoyed about the entire book promotions at the end. The story is already short and instead of getting anything more on content it's a bunch of titles of the author's stories. I don't think that's really necessary. If someone loves the book they have read, then they will check out the author automatically and see if there are others.
But ok. It was still not a bad read for me. Just not the best, either.
I enjoy her short & sweet stories. I do find it reductive that every book describes the exact same black woman. Same hair & body type, it's become somewhat comically that even with books that have different types of black women on the cover that the author continues to describe the same woman over & over. Curly hair, "soft" stomach (implying none of her heroines workout or have naturally flat stomach) & big t & a. No matter their age, lifestyle or occupation, they are all built the same. Same curly hair which I don't mind because most other black women romance books they always have braids. It's fine but it's odd to keep describing the same exact woman. This one was ok but she has better ones than this.
Professor by Imani Jay was absolutly fabulous and I was not disappointed at all. Caleb is a sexy yet nerdy professor who caught all the attention of all his female students. Caleb was interested in any of them until Maryem. Maryem was older than Caleb but she didnt give into her feelings for him. Caleb knew what he wanted and he felt like he needed to show Maryem he wasn't like the other men that she came across. The sexy times in this book was fire and the steam was coming off the pages. Imani descriptions had my mind going wild. Imani Jay never disappoints me and this one is defiently short and very spicy. Imani gives a whole new meaning to ''Age aint nithing but a number''.
Short and sexy story. Surprisingly good amount of character building considering the quick read. I got this one for free, but I'm sure if I had KU I would be gobbling these stories up!
It's nice sometimes to read OWYM. It's a space not often written about too much. I loved the chemistry between the two characters. It's a quick straight to the point read. It deserves the 5 stars.
after their class was over, it was on. Caleb was nice longer, her professor, and she was graduating. so they could explore their forever. and what a forever it was turning into.
Mesmerizing and easy to follow in the beginning (suspense is marvelous), then they return to her place and get lost in each other; the ending was missing that wow factor…
I want to be eloquent, however I will just say this was an amazingly paced, invigorating, stimulating, tantalizing, fun and exciting read. Thank you for what you do.
