Hello! It's fun to have you here, and I can't wait to share with you the stories I've written. (I think that's my favorite part about being an author is gushing over the books I write with other people!)
With that being said, not only am I an author, but a homeschool mom to four beautiful children, and married to the man who inspires most of the swoony scenes you'll read (insert sigh); which goes to say that I'm happily married and he's the best thing that's happened to me.
Along with writing books, I love art (hence my children's books), photography, trying to new recipes, and going on adventures! (Cruises, hikes, strawberry patches, Disney...you name it! We just recently went to Universal Studios (Harry Potter World) and LOVED it!
I love getting out and exploring the beautiful earth my Heavenly Father has created for me and hope to explore Europe one day. (Gotta see those castles for inspiration ;)
Likes: -The romantic leads learn to treat each other with kindness and respect -Detailed world building -Appropriate illustration of the action
Dislikes: -Cliffhanger ruins HEA They aren’t necessary, don’t add to my enjoyment of any book, and I remove a star every time.
-The book needs proofreading. Various sentences repeats information twice in a row. The lack of cultural background information is confusing because the reader remains uninformed about what motivates the heroine. Some foreshadowing never bears fruit and the reason for the heroine’s distrust is vague and poorly communicated. The progress of the romance is unclear because the author makes assertions and then backtracks cyclically for a majority of the story. The pattern of a lack of a valid human marriage ceremony would undermine any treaty and a pattern of failure to donate a bride price would undermine support for the treaty.
This is a very good rough draft and it’s a sweet story without consent violations. If there has been no cliffhanger, I would have rated it 4 stars because the romance has a pure, sweet, and uncompromised heart that’s difficult to find.
