Crippled, poor, and the postmaster of ghost-town Pimbly, Wesley has enough going on in his life. Just that his car chose today to break down. And who else has to witness it but his worst enemy—the filthy-rich alpha who also owns Pimbly?

But Jerk-Face comes to his rescue when Wesley needs it. Several times. He has Wesley's car towed on his own dime, he offers Wesley a hot meal, protection, and a roof over his head.

The only caveat? Wesley has to behave himself in Jerk-Face's mansion.
Wesley doesn't plan on it. So what if that alpha is older, stronger, and stupidly handsome? So what if his embrace feels too safe? Jerk-Face owns all of Pimbly. At some point, he'll want to own all of Wesley, too. Wesley would rather eat his remaining good leg than let it happen.

Think it was a freebie.

Not what I was expecting. I didn't realise it was an mpreg either. was looking for something more along the lines of one of the books in the Destination daddies multi-author series. This one was still good. It felt like one sided enemies to lovers, with Wesley having a big chip on his shoulder about rich men. I was surprised Drake didn't want to be called Daddy. The dumpster diving omegas was new. Not sure about the age gap. A little grossed out by the corn. Why so many vegetables with this author? Might read the next one.

DNF. Stopped at page 44. Did not like one of the heroes and the corn on the cobb thing is just too much for me. I'm out.

Well written and different in that the setting is a bit dystopian feeling and the MCs are not handsome and perfect. I read this omegaverse story awhile ago and thought that I had reviewed it. I remember the angst being germane to the plot and liking the MCs, and the mother getting some help. Read this at Prolific Works.

These two, Alpha and omega, made for an odd couple that ended up being perfect for each other. For the two to get to their HEA ending, omega Wesley had to overcome his repulsive, negative attitude towards his rich Alpha; which Drake needed to prove over and over again that he wanted Wesley as his omega. Drake took Wesley’s barbs with humor and patience along with Drake’s “punishments” when Wesley was bad.

This was a fun, enjoyable book, and feel it’s worth reading. Anna Wineheart always comes through with her great writing. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced read copy of this book.

Quite an odd relationship these two have. Wesley has a very low self esteem and lacks confidence while Drake has both. The animosity Wesley has is off the charts so Drake’s persistence is fun. The story isn’t warm and fuzzy more like antagonistic and heated but the two m/c’s make it work. Through it all they come out strong and happy and that makes the story enjoyable. I voluntarily reviewed an arc of this book.

A Daddy for the Omega by Anna Wineheart is a funny, sexy, and sweet quick read, featuring a hilarious brat of an omega, who despite being down on his luck, does his best to resist the sweet, kind, and rich alpha.

Wesley works at the post office in the deserted and tiny town of Pimbly, population one: Jerk-face, aka the rich alpha who bought the town, Drake. Wesley is struggling to make ends meet, particularly after an accident has damaged his leg, so when his car breaks down, he has no choice but to accept — reluctantly — Drake’s help. The two are attracted to each other, but Wesley doesn’t trust this rich alpha, even if he’s taking care of him and giving him what he needs — and wants. Can they find a way to make it work?

I loved Wesley’s snark and Drake’s calm patience and caring. The daddy/boy was light (no age play), and the sexy times were hot — and creative. These two found their perfect match in each other, and I devoured it all.

What I Think: Novellas are perfect for ‘gisting’ as we say in West Africa. And, this bookict isn’t so mobile now, so, let’s ‘gist’. When I meet Wesley, I supported him thinking of Jerk-Face as another rich opportunist who’s totally selfish. And, I have to admit that I didn’t want him to give in at all. But, as I got to know Jerk-Face, I wanted Wesley to make him suffer a little because I know first-hand what it’s like to be down there and be treated as such, regardless of your intelligence, personality or looks. Then, I betrayed Wesley the moment Jerk-Face said omegas are made for spoiling. Ach, be still my heart! I needed Wes to just stop fighting the impossible and give in because while Jerk-Face remained patient, I had run out of it. I know I couldn’t manage a brat because, ah, life is difficult enough. But, these two were so made for each other. Not to mention that I will never look at an ear of corn the same way again. Thank you, Mme. Anna, for making my mind even dirtier cause I’m just realizing that the vegetable row at Hypermarche Exclusive can be even more useful. Also, I’m wondering if Mme. Anna is a brat or a brat tamer because the characters are just so well rounded, I’m wondering if it’s from…erm, (cough cough) experience.

Time of day to read: At the end of a stressful Monday when you need a tiramisu of laughter, erotica, bonding, and romance!

This story was a part of a giveaway in 2022 and is now released as a book. No new content added.
For those who have read book one of the Daddies for Dumpster Omegas series, we recognise Wesley but now we get the story of how he met his mate. It's a fun story as Wesley has everything against the new guy around town who has basically bought up the whole place except for the post office where Wesley works. Wesley likes to think of them as enemies but Drake just enjoys helping and trying to help the younger man if he can, or if Wesley lets him.
It has an opposites attract feel as there is gaps in their age and financial situation, what with Drake owning most of a town. Wesley has a very low self esteem, mostly due to his bad leg but, ever so slowly, Drake is able to provide for the young man, turning their frosty interactions to something more. What is more unexpected for Wesley is how much he enjoys Drake's dominant tendancies. It leads to some exceptionally heated moments and, as always with these omega stories from Anna, there is a vegetable involved.
An enjoyable short story that introduces us to Wesley, a visitor to the Dumpster Omegas, and his (supposed) enemies to lovers romance with alpha, Drake.
I received an ARC and am happily giving a review.

Sweet and funny

Poor Wesley has had a lifetime of being taken advantage of and being seen as less than because he's poor with a disability.
When he runs into Drake (AKA - Jerkface), it's at an inopportune moment that he immediately misconstrues because he immediately jumps to conclusions.
Drake just takes their interactions with a grain of salt and a heavy dose of humor.
He offers his assistance anytime and while Wesley initially blows him off, he doesn't completely disregard the invitation.
His mama didn't raise a fool, after all.
He immediately needs to reluctantly call in that favor and so begins their uptick in interactions.
As they slowly get to know one another he realizes that he's lumping all past alpha's together and finds out that Drake is unlike any alpha he's ever known.
Drake for his part realizes he wants everything with his sweet boy and just wants to protect, love and cherish him because he so desperately needs and deserves that kind of treatment.
The chemistry between these two was scorching hot.

A cute story about a young man who feels he doesn't deserve love and rejects being cared for. He's had to be the caretaker for himself and his mother and dumpster diving is not a sport but a need for him. He's also got a bad leg due to a bike accident and in general feels unworthy about so many things. So he's not easily accepting of the "daddy" sort of man who is wealthy and kind and wants noting more than to take care of him. Drake, aka JerkFace in Wesley's mind, turns out to be patient as well and eventually wins him over.

The story is not really a daddy kink story though. Wes calls him Daddy once or twice but Drake states he doesn't like the term and there's no typical daddy/boy interaction. Dominant and boy with lots of spanking? Yes, indeed. Daddy? No, so don't bother reading this if that's the only thing that is of interest to you.

All around a sweet story with a nice HEA. A freebie from the author to introduce a new series.

Another fun/odd read from Anna

I will never understand how Anna's mind works, nor do I want to. Lol

Anna always brings us two main characters with flaws, or so they think. Wesley is disabled and works at the Post office in the disserted town of Pimbly.

Drake is a millionaire who buys the town of Pimbly and has a soft spot for Wesley.

I love the term Dumpster Omegas for omegas who think they aren't good enough for society. But have so much to offer especially love. Although there are some triggers, this is another fun/odd omega verse book. Never a dull moment.

Great story, age gap, omega/alpha, male pregnancy, and of course, our HEA. This book has a few triggers, so read the warnings first.

I'm actually giving this book a 1.5 but Goodreads has an issue with allowing partial point.

Anyway. Once more we have a rather unbelievable story, developed in a short period of time with barely any chemistry between the characters. There were serious issues about agency and consent as well as honesty and character development or personal growth from either character but mostly the omega in the story.

Basically the main alpha is a walking red flag and the omega is dumb to the point of him dumpster diving is the least of his problems.

This book was written as an extra story before the events of book 1.

I don't recommend it and I'm not going to continue reading any more books from this series or this author.

Snarky Omega

This is a fun prequel to the Dumpster Omega series. Wesley does not trust easily for good reason. He has had a run of bad luck since the day his Alpha father left when he was a child. Drake is the new owner of the town Wes acts as postmaster for. Due to him being a rich alpha, Wes has named him Jerk a face and hates him. But things happen and Drake steps in to help all the while Wes keeps pushing him away with sass and snark aplenty. Will that deter an older alpha that has his sight set on the young, cute omega? Grab this book and find out what all transpires on their way to a HEA.

Not the greatest piece of literature out there lol , lot of inconsistencies in the writing and stuff , felt very much like Wattpad writing ( which don’t get me wrong has some good books but unfortunately not this one)
The whole cob of corn was weird to me so there was that and the whole having sex but never kissing was weird for me as well and the smut wasn’t even alll that great tbh.
I just wanted something short and easy to read because I could feel myself getting into a slump so it definitely helped keep me occupied for a day so yeah
Read if you want I guesss but just don’t have high expectations

Great start to a new series!

I loved A Daddy for the Omega by Anna Wineheart. It's the prequel in the Daddies for Dumpster Omegas series. I loved Wesley and Drake. I loved how grumpy Wesley was and the nickname that he had for Drake and all of the spankings that Wesley got as punishments and rewards. And I loved that Drake doesn't act like a millionaire and that he still does all of the farming instead of hiring other people to do it. I read this book using the Kindle unlimited program.

Adorable. I love the idea of these books where the characters aren't traditionally gorgeous.
This is the story of Wesley (the dumpster Omega with a limp) and Blake the rich farmer. The image of Wesley as the postmaster of a mostly abandoned town is fun. Wesley's distrust of Blake because he's rich and internally (occasionally externally) calling him "Jerk Face" is funny. And saying his looks 60 is hilarious.

This was a sweet story with little conflict, which is surprising considering how violent the Chubby Omega was.

Can't wait for the next one.

Sweet.

This is a really good book. I think Wes was a sweet boy who really needed someone to love him as is. Drake is the loving Alpha with a lot of teasing patience to break down Wes' walls.
I do feel that the book was rushed a little. I think there should have been an explanation to Drake from Wes as to why Wes felt that way towards him. He should have told him about his father. I'm sure Drake would have helped him with that.
All-in-all, it is a really good book and I definitely recommend it to anyone. I can't wait to read the rest of them. HAPPY READING!!

Wesley was easily the worst and most annoying characters I've ever suffered through reading. He was whiny, bitchy, rude, inconsiderate and just unrelatable. I actually stopped reading at like 68% because I couldn't subject myself to finishing.

Don't waste your time on this one. I'm just glad I didn't spend money on this and that I can just return it. Unfortunately I grabbed the second book when it was on sale for free so I'm stuck with it. Maybe ill read it or maybe I won't. I'm not sure but its low on my tbr list.

Well, this was.... different. It's definitely NOT a Daddy kink story, and reading it reminded me that I think I've read this author before and found their style a little odd. Almost off-putting. This one was entertaining enough that I'm going to go on to the next, but the emotions in it are so... odd. It honestly makes me wonder if the author is maybe ND? It doesn't have the feeling of an actual romance, but I was still engaged throughout, and that's worth reading on in the series for me 😊

Great story

I really enjoyed Wesley and Drake's story. This was pretty low angst. I liked Wesley's feistiness around Drake and how he was always pushing for a spanking. And as always, I love Anna Wineheart's playfulness with food. She comes up with the craziest uses for vegetables.

This was a good story about two lonely men finding their way together. Wesley was determined to hate the wealthy Drake from the start, which caused some humorous interactions. For his part, Drake was patient, amused, and attracted. He wanted to take care of the much younger omega. I liked watching their relationship change and grow, and I appreciated their happy ending.

a bratty omega

For a long time Wesley has hated Drake, he thought he was an arrogant rich alpha who got everything he wanted and took ans bought whatever he liked. But people are not always as they seem and the more Wesley gets to know Drake the more he likes him. Romantic and steamy a great read

So good!

I read the one after this first not realizing there was a prequel. I’m so glad I saw it before I read the next. I am enjoying this series. I loved how these two got together and how Drake had to earn his omega.

A Daddy for the Omega

Wesley and Drake

I enjoyed reading this novella. Wesley obviously had some hard feelings about men due to his father's actions. Drake was a very nice and sweet Alpha who didn't let that deter him. Loved their hea.

Huh

Kinda pushy alpha, I also get why as he never would have got the omega without pushing him a bit, but the lack of actual communication I don't like
