Bad Dragon's Bride #2

The Dragon Berserker's Mate

Rate this book
The big bad dragon doesn’t play nice, even with a little ray of sunshine. Guarding her, easy. Pulling her pigtails?

Much more fun.

Hazel

After a midnight escape from her stepfather, Hazel’s in serious need of a fairytale ending.

She’s got two worldly possessions to turn into a roof over her head. Half a therapy degree and a massive debt.

It’s not looking good.

Everything changes when a mark appears on her chest.

As a human who can have dragon babies, she gets offered an escape. An arranged marriage to a literal knight in shining armor.

There’s one obstacle to marital bliss—her surly dragon shifter bodyguard.

Gorgeous, dangerous, and only dubiously sane, Jay is everything she can’t want. His protection brings out her most forbidden desires, the kind that lead good girls astray.

When she goes into heat, the spark between them ignites. But giving in to their electric connection will cost the one thing she yearns for.

A happily ever after.

Jay

Jay is at war with his own dragon.

Locking away his homicidal inner beast cost his fragile sanity, but nothing is more important than his duty to the Seattle dragons.

Starting with securing an alliance to a rival eyrie. Little Miss Sunshine is getting hitched if he has to drag her down the aisle himself.

Guarding Hazel’s chastity while she therapizes at him is the gig from hell. Behind closed doors, it only gets worse.

His darkest instincts don’t care that Hazel is engaged to another man. Having her in his apartment sparks a craving that threatens to drive him mad.

Jay can’t let her get close. Her delicious scent and gentle nature calls to the dragon slumbering inside him.

And if the monster breaks free, it’ll destroy them both.

The Dragon Berserker’s Mate is the second novel in the Bad Dragon’s Bride series. It can be read as a standalone—featuring its own couple, steam, and a happily ever after.

His sweet mate would have anything and everything she wanted. He'd do any disgusting, dark deed for her. And even harder for a man like him, he'd do soft, sweet things, too.

5 stars!

I cannot express how much I have come to love anything and everything that Harlow Blaze writes! Ever since we first met Jay in book one, I've been so anxious and excited to read his story as I just knew he was going to be an angsty mess, and he did not disappoint!

Poor Jay was such a beaten and broken character, happily (or not so happily) living in the dark prison he created for himself ever since he committed the ultimate faux pas. His lonely, brooding existence is interrupted when he meets Hazel who is willing to do anything in order to flee her old life, including agree to an arranged marriage to a dragon shifter. Even though she cannot stop thinking about her surly bodyguard, she's hesitant to relinquish the stability her arranged marriage will provide even though her dragon spark has her sights set on our favorite brooding hero.

This story made me fall for Jay even more than I did in book 1! I am such a sucker for a brooding and broken bad boy, and Jay's surly, masochistic behavior and quiet humor ticked every single one of my boxes. I loved how his interactions with Hazel left them both flustered yet aroused, and seeing Jay give in every time was so steamy. I also really enjoyed seeing Baz and Ava from the previous book happy and acting as doting parents to their little one. I am so excited for more from Harlow Blaze and cannot wait for Axel's book next! ♡

Tropes: fated mates, forbidden love, arranged marriage, forced proximity, bodyguard hero, virgin heroine, roommates-to-lovers, bad boy/good girl, opposites attract, grumpy/sunshine, hate-to-love-you, light BDSM

My surly and brooding Jay in all of his bad boy glory....

Hazel flees her step father's home after the dragon mark appears on her chest, signifying that she can mate a dragon shifter and produce children with them. Since female dragon shifters are very rare, these human women are sought after. If you've read this series from the beginning, you know how human women started getting the mark. If you haven't read this series yet, you should start from the beginning since it will make more sense to you if you do. This can be read a standalone but you get the whole story of the mark if you read from the beginning. So Hazel is in debt, running from her step father who turned into a jerk after her mother died and she agrees to mate with a dragon shifter in order to have a better life as long as she's able to have kids.

Jay is a grumpy dragon shifter with a completely crazy dragon inside him that he has locked away and never let's out. He's picked by his alpha to be the bodyguard of Hazel while she is there with them until her marriage to Lance, who has agreed to mate and marry her in order to have kids.

Lance is from another group of dragon shifters and they are all hopeful that finding a mate for Lance will bring the two clans together and keep the peace a bit. Lance seems nice enough but Hazel isn't in love with him even though he's doing nice things for her. Hazel does feel something for Jay though and keeping her hands and feelings to herself while they live in the same place isn't easy. Jay feels the pull to Hazel as well but he's not going to mate with her because he doesn't feel like a whole dragon shifter since he's had to lock his dragon away inside him. He wants her to have a chance at happiness with a normal dragon shifter and Lance seems to fit the bill.

Things aren't always as they seem though and they realize that they can't keep away from each other which puts Jay in a precarious position with his alpha. But there's a really good twist and a betrayal that changes everything for them. I loved watching Jay and Hazel come together because they really were made for each other. The twist was done so well, I never saw that coming. I highly recommend this series, it just keeps getting better.

The 2nd book in her series, this time it is the story of the brooding Jay and the sunny Hazel. After escaping her alcoholic stepfather she finds herself making a deal to become a dragon bride. Its all she ever wanted, untill Jay.

I liked the first book but I loved this one. Jay is one of my favourite type of guys, the kind that would kill someone who hurt you. This is such a good short book that is just enough to get you hooked on the series, with so many future possibilities.

Not always a fan of reading from the third person but it worked very well for this type of book. Great writing and was well balanced with the spice and story. Also loved the bonus scene at the end. Only thing is that some of the fight scenes could be extended for more drama.

With the help of her friend Starla, Hazel is on the run from home. After failing to complete her Clinicals to become a Licensed Therapist she has to come up with a way to pay off her high student loan debt. Help comes in the form of an offer by the Seattle dragon shifters. The Seattle dragon shifters are working build alliances and since Seattle is the only city so far that has women who bear the dragon mark; dragons from other eyries and looking to have them as brides to produce heirs. Hazel agrees to the terms of the arrangement to marry Lance the King of the Oregon dragon shifters because it will not only take care of her student loan debt but also give her a fairy tale life with her own Prince Charming.

Unfortunately, or fortunately depending on how you look at it. Hazel has to be kept safe until the time of the arranged marriage. Therefore, being the mischievous King that he is Baz appointed Jay to be Hazel’s bodyguard until it’s time for the wedding. We learned in Baz’s story that his 2nd In Command Jay is a dragon shifter who can no longer shift. Jay's is gruff, moody, sarcastic, envious and fun. He has an instant attraction to Hazel and hates himself for it because Jay locked his dragon away 5 years ago after trying to attack Baz. Since Jay doesn’t trust his dragon, he doesn’t trust himself to be with anyone even if it means allowing his mate to marry another man. Jay has always been a little unstable and his dragon was just as unhinged. In his human form Jay was untouchable but when he was on the verge of a shift his dragon was much too powerful to contain. Jay knew he needed to keep his dragon on a tight leash because of the damage and pain he was capable of inflicting.

Hazel was so good for Jay. As a non-licensed Therapist, she was able to breakdown Jay’s walls and get a better understanding behind the man who tries to keep others away. Jay has been struggling with keeping his dragon locked up in the recesses of his mind but once his dragon found his fated mates all bets were off. The chemistry between Hazel and Jay was off the charts and no matter how hard Jay fought to contain his feelings his dragon had other plans and the mate bond that was formed could not be ignored.

After a betrayal against the Settle dragons at the hands of Prince Charming himself Lance; Baz’s mate Ava, his daughter, sister and Hazel are put in danger forcing Jay to come face to face with the part of him that he has kept locked away to seek help. Jay’s dragon never meant any harm in his actions from the past, but Jay knows that in this life he needs his dragon too survive and they both need their mate.

This story was fun, heartwarming and funny. I was so happy when Jay reconciled with his dragon, and they came together as one again. I was even happier when he found the will to shift to save his mate with his dragon magic restored.

A story of Hurt, Pain, Forgiveness, Hope, Second Chances, Love and Redemption. Jay’s story was worth the wait.

Received an Advanced Reader’s Copy in exchange for my honest review. I have read all 3 books in this series so far: The Dragon God’s Mate (where it all began), The Dragon King’s Mate and now The Dragon Berserker’s Mate.

Wow! I expected a fun steamy paranormal romance, but this book impressed me beyond belief.

The writing was excellent, and maintained and entertaining and easy-to-read quality. A lot of authors throw quality writing away from romance, but Harlow Blaze gave us quality writing and knee-trembling smut.

What impressed me most in this book was the mental health story. "Crazy Jay" is Jay's nickname, which I first thought was weird and cringey, but it does represent the way the dragons in this book (as well as Jay himself) perceive mental health issues. Jay describes himself as "crazy" and "depraved" with "a couple of screws loose," without understanding his own poor mental health. I chose to view a lot of this story (Jay's constant battle with his dragon) as a metaphor for mental illness.

The only thing I didn't particularly love was insta-love, which is a common romance trope in fated mates. I didn't mind it horribly, but I would have preferred a slower development.

Thank you to BookSirens for an eARC in exchange for a home review! I'll definitely be reading more in this series!

An emotional rollercoaster ride is what you can expect from book two. A dark gangster type of hero surpressing his dragon to keep his killer instinct and demons under control meets his nemesis in Hayley who has her own baggage. Besides the steam, drama and deceit are woven into the storyline. This sure is a hooking series.

Jay is the new standard

Jay is my new favorite male lead. I loved his sassy a-hole persona that hid his gooey sweet soft side.

I enjoyed this book more than the first (even though Baz was also a riot). Hazel was such a badass who maintained her bubbly personality while facing down dragons. She and Jay were absolutely adorable and 100% meant for one another.

3 stars in general, but only about 2 for the heroine

I am torn about this series so far. I really like it, but it also really frustrates me. Our heroes have been awesome: big, smouldering dragons, yum. However, while the heroines have been undeniably good people, their characters have been disappointingly underdeveloped.

Here, we have Hazel (great name). She's earned a master's in social work but never got licensed due to not having thick enough skin. She's supposedly in a bad situation having moved home (presumably due to having no job), where her apparently formerly decent stepfather has turned into a gross lecher. He supposedly didn't handle her mom's passing well. But we never really see much interaction between them, and he doesn't appear to have locked her in or anything. So yeah, he's now a disgusting jerk, but he doesn't seem to be evil enough for me to understand Hazel, if that makes sense. So Hazel comes to the Seattle eyrie (dragons' den in the form of four posh skyscrapers) not really having much substance to her. Then, to make matters more annoying, she's game for becoming a trophy wife to a dragon king from another eyrie. Goals? Meh.

I mentioned before that the heroes are great, and they are, but the one thing I'm not sure about is what they do for a living. There are random comments about them being gangsters (especially Jay), and in the previous book we know that the dragon King Baz has regular meetings with senators and the like. But what do they precisely do from day to day? I'd also like to know more about them. Jay supposedly cannot shift, but it's really that he won't. The story touches on why but I think it needs to more deeply explore it for me to really buy it.

I have high hopes for the third book in the series, and can I dare hope that Starla gets her own novel someday?

I received an ARC of this book for free from the author and BookSirens. I'm writing this review voluntarily, and it reflects my honest opinion. Thanks!

I just LOVE this series by Harlow Blaze its soooo GOOD!!! The author can’t write them fast enough for me. This second entry is just as sizzling hot as the first book with wall-to-wall gorgeous dragons.
MFC Hazel Gray has escaped the clutches of her stepfather with the help of witch and nightclub owner Starla who was introduced in book #1 and after seeing the dragon mark that had appeared on Hazel became even more determined in freeing Hazel from her uncomfortable situation.
Dragon females are rare in this society and drakes can’t mate outside of their species especially with human females unless those females carry the dragon mark, even rarer.
I adored Hazel’s character she was so sweet and gentle with her one and only dream being to have a family of her own and the happiness and security she so hungered for. With an offer from the Seattle Dragons to pay off her 80 grand student debt to become the mate of Lance the King of the Steens Mountain Eyrie in Oregon Hazel sees a chance to obtain those desires.
But of course, things don’t go quite as planned and when she meets dragon shifter MMC Jay second in command to The King of the Seattle Eyrie, lightning strikes!
This captivating story with its great writing and crafted to perfection characters had me immersed in a fantastic alternately built world that comes to life for the reader with its exceptional narrative.
Lots of humor and dragon politics serve to keep the action flowing but it’s the fiery passion simmering between the two leads that really had me glued to the pages and eager to find out how it all was going to play out.
Highly Recommended!!!

Hazel and Jay's Story . . .

With her friend Starla’s help, Hazel escapes from her stepfather's home during a dark storm. A dragon mark had appeared on her chest, which means that she is capable of mating with a dragon shifter and having his children. In an effort to secure an alliance with a rival dragon eyrie, the Seattle Eyrie offers Hazel money that will pay off her huge student loan in return for marrying royal dragon King Lance from the Steens Mountain Oregon Eyrie.

Until the arranged marriage is finalized, Jay, second in command to the King of the Seattle Eyrie, becomes her bodyguard and they are drawn together because they are mates. Jay’s dragon had become murderous, so he never shifts now and is grouchy to be around. Hazel’s college training was as a therapist. She is not licensed, but she is still able to help Jay. And when Lance betrays them all to kidnap 18-year-old Ruby, drugging all of the Seattle dragons, Hazel needs Jay’s help, even though he appears to be dying on the floor from the effects of the drug all the dragons were injected with. Will Jay and his dragon be able to reconcile to save those they love? Would Jay’s dragon find the needs of his mate and the safety of the entire Eyrie more important than its own desires – or were those desires now solely focused on protecting their Eyrie? Will Baz, King of the Seattle Eyrie, rescue his family in time? Grab your copy and see the non-stop action unfold in the story! You won’t be able to put it down!

Hazel, the human female lead, is running away from her stepfather who has become progressively more creepy and a threat since her mother’s death. Saved by a Good Samaritan, she’s offered the chance to be the bridal sacrifice to broker a treaty between two dragon shifter clans because she’s one of the few women able to birth a dragon shifter child.

Jay, the male dragon shifter lead, is assigned as Hazel’s bodyguard until the wedding takes place. He’s a broken shifter, having not shifted for many years since his dragon attacked his alpha the last time he did. Used to being alone in a crowd, he’s shocked to find that he cares what Hazel thinks and that he’s calmer near her.

When Hazel goes into heat and indicates that she wants him as her mate, he reluctant to hurt his eyrie and yet called to her side. When she’s threatened, he lets his dragon loose…

This story is dual POV, well written and edited, and a great opposites attract, dragon shifter romance. I enjoyed the complement between Hazel’s gentleness and kindness and Jay’s hardness and willingness to do bad things. I enjoyed Hazel’s willingness to reach for what she wanted. I enjoyed Jay’s realisation that he could have a real relationship with both Hazel and his dragon. I enjoyed their intimate interactions and the character and relationship development. I enjoyed the secondary character integration and the introduction of future lead characters into the story.

I received a complimentary copy from the author and this is my voluntary honest review.

THE DRAGON BERSERKER'S MATE is the second book in the Bad Dragon's Bride series and it can be read as a standalone. I haven't read book one but found I could easily follow this story. And what a story it was!

Hazel is down on her luck, at home with her stepdad, and needs to escape before things get even worse. She will agree to anything if it means she is free of him and debt-free - even if it means marrying a dragon. The only trouble is, the one she wants is not the one she is expected to marry.

Jay is slowly killing himself as he tries to lock down his dragon. But once he meets Hazel, he realises he will do anything for her, just to see her smile or hear her laugh. And maybe, just maybe, his dragon feels the same.

This was a tale of epic proportions and I loved every word. The writing is so descriptive, every scene was clear to see. There are lots of one-liners in here that just made it even better. The pacing is fast but you never feel as though you are being rushed.

An excellent story with amazing characters that I definitely recommend!

Hazel has enlisted the help of her friend, Starla, to help her get away from her stepfather. You would think a grown woman with a few college degrees wouldn't need help getting out of her childhood home, but Mike is a mean drunk and he has bad intentions. Once she is finally out, another problem emerges - what is she supposed to do now? She is totally hopeless as a dancer, or even a waitress, at Starla's club. She does have one thing going for her - a dragon tattoo that appeared between her breasts.

Jay hates that the eyrie is in such a precarious position that they are now offering up human women as mates for other clans. But with Ruby, Ava, and now little Marceline to protect, they really didn't need this new marked human woman to add to the list. Besides, she evidently needed a fresh start and the King of the Steens Mountain dragons in Oregon would make a good ally for the Seattle eyrie. If only King Lancelot, gag, wasn't such a tool. But then Jay meets Hazel. And she trills her mating song to him. Uh-oh.

Hazel had to flee her home and has an unfinished degree and a mountain of school debt. When she gets an offer for an arranged marriage to a dragon shifter, she thinks it might solve all of her problems. She is set to marry Lance, a Prince Charming. But there’s Jay…
Jay is a dragon shifter who can’t shift. His dragon magic has left him. He’s the right-hand to his dragon king, and his king needs the marriage between Hazel and Lance to cement a political alliance. But when he meets Hazel, Fire burns…
This is the second book in the Fated Mates Shifter Romance series by the appropriately named Harlow Blaze. I’m now hooked on this series, and this book is an excellent addition. Believable romance, likable characters, excellent world-building, and steamy love scenes made this book better than the average shifter romance. The book’s pace is fast and it’s well-written. I recommend it and the previous book in the series to readers who like shifter romance or paranormal romance. Five stars.

OMG this book was fantastic. I absolutely loved it. The character of Jay was soooo unique, intriguing, complicated and richly detailed it was the best character I have ever seen. The emotional aspect of him fighting with his inner dragon and the depth and complexity of his splitting his soul in two and locking away his inner dragon to protect himself and others was first class. The turmoil him and Hazel went thru while trying to find their happy ending was so complex, so intertwined, so complicated that it made the book impossible to put down. Each page was a nail biter, grabbing a hold of you and not letting u go. I think this has got to be one of the very best written books I have ever read or reviewed. It truly deserves more than 5 stars it was that great. I can't wait to read the next one in the series. This author out did herself on this one so it will be a hard act to follow. I highly recommend this book and series.

There was everything I wanted from a book about dragons in this book. They are protective, fierce, manly, and only sweet and soft for the ones they love.
Jay is a powerful dragon even though those outside of his eyrie underestimate him for a multitude of reasons. He is the one that protects all the others when things get bad. He is also sweet to only a few people. It is so sweet to see that side of him. He also has a sarcastic side that made me laugh.
Hazel is strong, independent, and determined. She was able to find a way out of a terrible situation. She may have been thrown into another situation where she wasnt sure how to act, but she made the best of it.
I liked the plot. It had a good twist, but you were suspicious of those involved for awhile. I liked how Hazel and Jay were together. It will be interesting to see where the rest of the characters go from here and hopefully get glimpses of these two again as well.

I have to start by saying Jay was a total blast! Ok, with that out of the way… as with the series in general, I found that while the book may start a bit slow (and does have a few slower spots dappled within) if you show a bit of patience, you are generously rewarded with an exciting and sensual experience.

The premise of book 2 is Hazel is scheduled to wed the king from another eerie, and is staying with Jay while she proves she can go into heat. The benefit, as Baz, the eerie King of Seattle, sees it, is that Hazel is an unlicensed therapist and Jay is in NEED of therapy. Win-Win!! However, these two couldn't be more different. Jay is high-strung, aggressive, controlling, protective, detached, and angry. Hazel on the otherhand is more inquisitive, almost nosey, quieter, passive, and relaxed. Somehow the differences between them truly bring out the other's strengths.

Find out how Jay handles rooming with his MATE while she's bound to marry/mate someone else!! While I received an ARC of this book, my review is both honest and voluntary.

2nd in series

This is the second book in a series on dragon shifters. They are in danger of going extinct because of a shortage of females, but recently it became known that some human women may actually be able to mate with and bear dragon babies. In this second book, the King of the Seattle dragons found his human soul mate and had a girl child already, and with his teenage sister as well, they are concerned they will be a target for other dragons desperate for females. To preemptively address this, they are hoping to find another human with the "dragon mark" they can offer to a neighboring dragon group in an attempt to gain allies. They find a girl, they find a group to ally with. Unfortunately, the Seattle second-in-command suspects she may be HIS soul mate. He is a man to put duty above all, so there is quite an internal struggle, as well as some external struggles, some hot scenes, and some wrestling with some internal demons/dragons! Adventurous, well written, and some interesting side characters I hope will be featured in later books.

I already new a bit about Jay, the titular Beserker, having read the first book in the series. That was helpful, bu not essential, to reading this story.

The narrative and dialogue led to really good character development of Jay and his soulmate Hazel. The world view is part of the story and is introduced in a timely manner. Although there seems to be a couple loose ends or unexplained events, they weren’t critical to following the story.

The story is partly a series of “therapy sessions” which provided an interesting approach to surfacing information that might not be exposed in normal conversations.

Hazel makes a few choices that seem contrived, but they help the plot evolve.

This was an enjoyable read. The first 2/3rds of the story led to an expected result. The last third was a bit unexpected (at least for me).

I recommend this book and the series (thus Farr) for your reading list.

Hazel (h) needs an escape from her stepfather and from the massive student debt she owes. The solution comes in the shape of the mark that identifies her as a human able to mate with dragon shifters. Her friend Starla puts her in touch with the Seattle Dragons who'll broker her marriage to Lance, an Oregonian Dragon King. During the courtship phase, Hazel will be staying with Jay (H), second in command in the Seattle eyrie, so that he can protect her virtue. Turns out that the real threat to that is the growing relationship between Jay and Hazel. But all isn't as it seems with this arranged marriage, and there'll be lots of action and adventure, including some of the very hot and steamy kind. I haven't read the prequel or Book 1 and was still able to enjoy this book, though I will add both to my TBR.

This book is an amazing read. Jay is my favorite dragon thus far. Nothing wrong with Baz but omg jay is fantastic. He's a bad boy who wears nice suits, glasses and beautiful green eyes. Hes got some bad habits like smoking and cussing. He's also referred to as crazy jay because of his reputation. He is dreamy to say the least with a funny sense of humor when he wants to show it. Omg his hoard is just surprising and i love it. He doesnt shift like the other dragons but it doesnt stop him from doing his job as number two to his hoards king baz. Hazel she is an educated woman whom went to school to be a psychologist but cant practice. She quickly left her home because of her abusive step dad. She's sweet and kind of innocent in a way. She compliments Jay's bad boy self. She refers to him like a gangster because of his tattoos and attitude. I absolutely loved this couple!!!

Hazel escaped her unhappy home ,and had recently women from a night out with a Dragon tattoo on her breast with no memory of getting it. She couldn't have possibly been one of a small few women who had a spark of Dragon in them, which meant they could become soul mates to Dragon shifters. They were dying off for lack of females.
If it wasn't for Hazels friend who could connect her to some powerful dragons ,who was able to broker a marriage for her. Safety security that's all she wanted.
This book made me smile the contrast of Jays darkness after all he was crazy Jay. Known for his inability to shift into his dragon, and his stubbornness in refusing the connection he felt.To her light hearted ,kind nature. But she has agreed herself to Lance a traditional Dragon from another eyrie.
I cant get enough of these. Onto the next !😆

The third book in this series (if you count the prequel) and the series is still coming up with surprises. Jay has locked his dragon away, and won’t shift because of all the carnage he fears from his beast. Because of this, his sanity is on the line. Hazel is escaping an abusive stepfather, with the help of her witch friend. When it’s found out that she is dragon marked, she agrees on an arranged marriage with leader of a different eyrie, in exchange of her providing dragon heirs, she would be given a safe home and her debts paid off. But she doesn’t count on Jay….

This book has some good action, a few good twists and of course, romance. Seeing if Hazel and Jay can find their way to each other is a fun ride, especially after Jay is assigned as her guardian. For the dragon shifter lovers out there, this is a good series and never loses its momentum.

Grumpy and sunshine galore

Jay has locked away his dragon, pure stubborn force of will for not wanting to see the beast ever again. But when Hazel, a woman bearing a dragon mark, shows up Jay’s iron will is tested. He can tell she is his mate but she is promised to another and the wedding will take place right after her heat. Which she will spend as his roommate.

I absolutely adored the grumpy and sunshine action in this one! Jay is sullen, a little crazy and murderous and Hazel is the perfect, sweet antidote to match him. These two are wonderful together and their chemistry is off the charts!

I also really loved seeing Baz and Ava again as well as Ruby 💕 The dragons of Seattle have found their way into my heart and the extra glimpses we got into the bromance of Baz and Jay are perfect!

I have been looking forward to The Dragon Beserker’s Mate, and it did not let me down. This addictive page turner has all the feels and plenty of spice. Be prepared to laugh out loud and perhaps hide a sneaky tear or two. It is well written, and the characters personalities are believable and understandable. More of the rich and well-built Fated Mates Shifter world is revealed and explored, while the main characters’ story is well-developed and satisfyingly concluded. Even though there is no cliffhanger - which is great in my opinion - Harlow Blaze has me, once again, itching to dive into her next story.

Full disclosure: I was given an ARC of the book, however this review is my own honest opinion.

I cant say enough what a wonderful story this was, i thought the first book was so good, and wow this just da bomb.
Hazels character is so loving, she has become a marked human, able to mate with the dragons, but now her mission is to escape her stepfather but its the wonderful witch who helps her escape. Hazel is given a proposal to marry a prince dragon and in return he will pay off all her dept. However its Jay whose Hazels spark wants and knows hes her mate. But they both are determined to go on the path till they finally realise how they both feel.

This review hasnt really done this book justice because i found it hard to put into words how good this book was . But i really recommend that you pick up a copy because i thought it was that good. But i leave it up to you.

Wow.. this was fantastic!!

I wholeheartedly enjoyed this book and the story of Hazel and Jay. I loved Jay in book one and I'm sooooo glad he got his happily ever after. Hazel, broke and scared, ends up with the dragon mark and to help pay off her astronomical student loan debt agrees to marry the king of the Oregon dragons who Baz is hoping will become their allies. Unfortunately, Jay realizes when he meets her that she is his fated mate but fights his dragon instincts to help his clan.

Lance, the king of the Oregon dragons, was a real winner (loads of sarcasm)...i can't believe what he did to then. But I'm not going to ruin the story!! But let's just say that everything works out wonderfully!!!

I received an ARC for my honest review!

The Dragon Berserker’s Mate is a story of two strong people using different ways to run from their dark pasts, coming together and healing each other, but at what costs to the community?

Harlow has yet again created endearing characters that make you invested in their story, but also each of them. Hazel has a brilliant mind and is compassionate but needs to escape for fear of what her stepfather might do.

Jay values the community, is super grumpy in all the best ways and has a tragic secret keeping his dragon locked away.

The over-arching plot ended feeling rushed towards the end, and I def. don't trust pretty boys now but def. a book you should pick up if you like spicy shifters.

I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
