Holy shit, I have no idea how to form any words to describe this damn masterpiece of a story. If you love dark romance and that quote doesn’t instantly call out for you to read this story, then I don’t know what will.
Kaiden, Vinny and Beckham are my new book boyfriends and I’m in love with all of them equally. The mouths those men have on them are something else.
The sex scenes.. I have never been so affected by any sex scenes as much as I was with these ones. Probably the best written ones I’ve read in a very long time. Honestly, they have the potential to make you moan in real life simply by reading them and reading everything the dirty talking alphas have to say.
Don’t get it twisted though, yes the sex scenes were everything but there is one hell of an amazing plot as well. So many secrets which will make your brain start thinking “Why?,” “Who?,” “What?,” “There’s no way.”
The cliffhanger that this story left off on had me screaming. I desperately want to find out what happens next because so many secrets were held throughout this story and are now bound to be revealed. Best believe I will be reading the second book in this duet.

This book consumed me, I couldn't put it down. Between the dark smut that left my mouth dry and the guys It was darkly amazing, but what really had me hooked was the plot, I really need to know and uncover these secrets with Sage like right now.

Hmmm, what to say here… 1.5/5
Let me preface the rest of this review by stating that I love to read smut. But, unless it’s a short novella, I like to have a decent storyline to accompany said smut. I know everyone has different preferences and different things they look for/expect from a romance (especially when it comes to dark romances). So it’s fine if you like to get dickmatized!! Girl, me too!!!!! Sometimes the smut is the most important thing to a reader and having any sort of plot surrounding that is good enough. But I read so much, that I can’t help but compare every book I read to the last 200+ from this year, and it’s made me more picky with what I like. ESPECIALLY when my fav thing to read is a reverse harem dark romance- I tend to be extra snippy with these. That being said, if you liked this book, I’m so happy for you. Pls don’t crucify me for having qualms with it. Lol
I now know that this was originally a novella that was expanded upon to create this first book in what’s to be a duology. So, if the plan was to expand and add more, should we not have added enough to make this more cohesive and create a real plot? We have so many little things in this book that are CLEARLY connected but we don’t get lucky enough to get explanations for almost all of them, and are therefore left with soooo many questions at the end that we won’t get answered until the next book (whenever it may be that it’s released).
-What actually happened to the woman that died so many years ago? Was it a result of the game?
-Did Sage’s parents leave because of this? I’m assuming so but we don’t know.
-Were her parents murdered?
-How do they become hallows boys?
-How did this sick game start?
-Who runs the town now?
-We never see Juliet properly mourn her parents throughout the book, especially once’s she gets to Georgia. Are we gonna get into that?
-What role does Juliet play in all of this? I mean, I know it’s something and I have guesses. But not real info.
And again, this is my biggest problem with this book. There’s just not enough here, and it’s especially frustrating knowing this is a story the author is expanding upon. I find myself wondering if this is just because the author needed to get this first book out by a certain time, and she just figured she’d address everything in the second book? Like it feels as though she ran out of time.
Then, I’ll be honest, as hot as some of the smut is, I do fundamentally take issue with how rough we’re playing with no actual consent given and no safe word. These boys have plenty of willing girls but they pick Sage and they really do take advantage of her. Doesn’t matter if she likes it (which btw I beg to differ with some things). I know it’s a dark romance and so it’s going to have more moral ambiguity than a contemporary romance, for example, but I still think we’re lacking on important things that should be included. And also, these are still high schoolers which makes all of this WEIRD AF. I’m supposed to believe they’ve been doing this since they became hallows boys as freshman. They’re playing these sick bdsm sex games at 14?! LMAOOOOOOOOO I DONT THINK SO!

This was originally In The Dark, a novella, but the author decided to extend it to a full length novel and revamp it into a duet.
Sage's world is turned upside down when her parents die suddenly. Her whole life is uprooted and moved to Blackmore, a small town in bum-fuck nowhere. She's lost and alone and starting over, living with a relative she doesn't know, and trying to figure out who she is. So what happens when three boys at her new school take notice of her? A lot of sex that's for sure. haha.
But also Sage unknowingly entering into a secret society and the deeper she gets with Becks, Vinny and Kaiden, the deeper the secrets run and less she knows and understands. The questions keep piling up and the answers are few, far and in between.
This book is incredibly hot and filled with kink! I love the small town/secret society aspect. I love the boys, especially Becks (I call dibs) and the mystery of it all. I will admit I wish there was a bit more character connection (I'm a ho for details), but its a fast paced book so it works! If you love reverse harem's and are looking for something weird and a touch spooky, that's a quick read and crazy hot, this is the book for you!

Okay for a start that ending has killed me, but oh my god it’s so worth it. I need I know more, I need to find out more. Meeting the hallows boys well, if I were Sage I wouldn’t choose either. If you like a dark, twisting romance with loads of smut then definitely read this.

I have an infinite love for this book and a very strong obsession with Kaiden.
This is mostly smut but it is one of the most intense, scorchingly hot smut I've ever read.
This is suspenseful and mysterious. There's a very very dark atmosphere with almost paranormal vibes, without it being one. I loved how Vin and Beck had their own connection, as did Kai and Sage but all of the together created this intricate relationship.
This book seriously has the best qualities and all MCs were interesting, even though my heart belongs to the Hallow King. I cannot wait for the next book.
We both revel in the feel of each other, like two long-lost souls meeting once again.
Did I like this book? YES YES YES.
Would I read it again? Already done so. Will do so again very soon.

I picked this up after seeing it recommended quite a bit on bookstagram and had been fancying something on the shorter side, and OH MY GOD I was obsessed within the first few chapters.
I loooooove dark/high school/gothic-y romance stories and this did not disappoint in the slightest. The small town, the games, the history, THE BOYS 🥵 it’s just absolutely perfect and I would be hugely lying if I said I wasn’t absolutely GIDDY the entire time I was reading it!!!!
It’s safe to say i’ve gained three new book boyfriends in Kaiden, Beckham & Vinny. Sage is definitely coming into herself and I feel like she’s a lot stronger than she thinks she is! I absolutely cannot wait for her to get some answers in book two 🙌🏼

This was my first book by this author and I’m hooked! I saw a video of the Hallows Boys on TkTk and immediately downloaded it, the vibes were exactly what I was looking for and it was just as good as I hoped it would be. I’m veryyy curious about everything and have my theories and suspicions about what’s happening (side eyeing you Juliet, I don’t trust u). I love how Sage just owns up to her sexuality and desires, she feels no shame for wanting what she does and that’s refreshing. She did annoy me a bit throughout the book but nothing that made me want to drop it.
And these boys… I need more! 😮💨 The 🌶️ scenes were top tier! 🥵

Honestly, I was in a Halsey Frenzy when I read this book and it fits so well! This is the first book Rosie Alice book I have ever read and I am so honored to read her work. Yes, it has a lot of dark elements to the story, but HOLY SHIT. It is such a mood!
To start off, please read the TW as always. It never bothers me, but read responsibly! :) So, FMC, Sage. Wow, what a pretty name. She is pretty tough and a fighter. I devoured this book technically a day because this book may be contemporary, but it was full of secrets, mystery, and darkness. The characters do have a lot of things to deal with and it's perfectly understandable after what they have to deal with personally. It intrigued me and left me at the edge of my couch. I just couldn't stop reading!
Sage was just being a champ through and through despite having dealt with such a situation and well I know how it feels ish to be in her situation. You'll know what I mean when you read the beginning of the book, but yeah.
The HALLOWS BOYS...
OMG...They are just... I am speechless. AF. I just couldn't stop reading about them. Dark, sinful, tempting, and dangerous. These are the boys your momma would warn you about, but you couldn't just resist.
They are dark, possessive, and freaking hot AF. They can totally fuck you up in a good way. Like BDE. Make your jaw drop, tattooed, and I could fucking go on and on LOL!
The smut is just wonderful. I don't think I need to say more. You just need to read more and well I enjoyed the book for what it is. I am a simple girl. Reverse Harem and all. :)
Would I recommend this book?! Yes. I would. Just make sure to check TW and make sure this book is your cup of tea. :) I just love the mystery and dark secrets that are unveiled in this book and I hope to know more of the history plus get more and more of it!

Everyone needs to read this book. It’s a work of art. I have thought about Sage and the Hallows boys every day since I finished this book. I’m so glad Rosie decided to turn what was originally a novella into a full length novel because I am OBSESSED. There’s so many things I need to know about? Like girl I need the next book now!
We first meet Sage and she’s a popular, happy girl who’s head cheerleader and excels at school. Tragedy hits and she is shipped across country to stay with her Grandma who she doesn’t know where she’s a-bit of an outcast.
In Blackmore there’s the yearly tradition of the Hallows games. Every year in October the chosen three Hallows boys pick a lucky girl to play with on Halloween. They put her through the ringer, pushing her boundaries beyond control for 24 hours. Afterwards not a word is said and everyone goes back to their lives as if nothing happened.
Kaiden, Beckham and Vincent are the ones in charge and they’ve got their sights set on Sage! The dynamics of this trio works SO well. Especially between a certain two 🥵 Kaiden is the leader of them and everything about him screams authoritative. I loved seeing him lose his resolve that tiny bit towards Sage after the games.
The imagery Rosie managed to conduct with words is such a talent and no lie the games scenes were absolutely phenomenal and will live rent free in my head forever. I’ve never been so jealous of a fictional character till Sage. The graveyard scenes/crypt scenes are so gothic and enticing to read and I hope we get more of them in the next book.
I love(hate) that there’s so much that’s not been found out yet. Family secrets to uncover. A potential shift in the social standings balance. Mysterious friends. Me and my friend literally discussed everything we thought could happen in the next book and that’s when you know a book is good because you can’t stop talking/thinking about it. A resounding 5 stars AND this is probably the BEST reverse harem I’ve read so far. I said what I said okay! 🖤

This book...
One word, three letters. WOW. Just, wow!!! I read this book when it was an author duo and when the story was a tad different and I LOVED IT SO MUCH. But this new one? IT TOOK MY BREATH!!!! Rosie Alice is a jack of all trades. Because when I tell you this author checks all my boxes, SHE CHECKS THEM ALL. This book was EVERYTHING TO ME.
The darkness in this book was my whole life. I LIVE in the darkness, eat sleep read breathe dark romance and this book was effortlessly written exactly how I love it when it comes to being a dark book but also being about teenagers/eighteen year olds.
The boys, Kaiden, Vinny and Beckham stole my heart last year and they still havent returned it. With this new story, IDK I felt like I knew them more. The control Kaiden welded towards the guys AND Sage quite literally made me melt but nothing got me hotter and acting like a lovesick fool more than Becks and Vinny being together. You would think when reading their scenes that Rosie Alice has written TONS of MM but nope, that is just how natural it comes to this author and you can see it. Sage had a rough time adjusting when she first got to Blackmore but once the guys set their sights on her it was over. The one night of madness and sex took a turn for all four of them because what was supposed to only be one night of debauchery turned into each of them not wanting to stop and never getting enough. And the way the story ended? I NEED BOOK 2 NOW!! RIGHT AWAY!!!!! I cannot wait to see what happens in the next one and what they will do with her!! I want to say so much more but I NEEEED everyone to read this not knowing what the heck they are about to embark on. This story will take you for a crazy ride! 5 STARS ISNT ENOUGH!

All I can say is I volunteer as tribute for the next Hallows Games! This was my first read from this author and thank you so much for sending me the ARC. What can I say, this book will be playing on my mind for a while, it’s dark ,delicious and dangerous all wrapped up in a smutty suspenseful story. This book has everything you could possibly want from a dark romance smut, mystery, dark twisted boys and spooky vibes.
The story follows Sage who after losing her parents is uprooted to live with her grandma in Blackmore where she meets the Hallows Boys, Kaiden, Vinny & Beckham
Sage soon comes to realise she’s no longer in California and Blackmore holds a lot of secrets as well as the Hallows Games. Sage has been chosen and goes through the Hallows Games with the boys and after a whole lot of information is uncovered and now Sage has to figure, who she actually is and how the secrets of Blackmore connect to her.
This story captivated me and made me want more and yes it does end on a cliffhanger and I want more. Can’t wait for the next installment.

The Hallows Boys is a rewrite/extension of a previously published novella called In the Dark. I read In the Dark when it was first released and enjoyed it, but THIS book was everything. Rosie Alice did such a great job of adding and revising the original that I recognized certain scenes, but it read like a completely new novel (which it is).
This book is dark and gritty, filled with mystery, twists & turns, and blood. I loved everything about this book. The pacing was on point, the writing phenomenal, the sex was hot, and I enjoyed the mystery elements embedded within. So many secrets are starting to unfold, and I can’t wait to get answers in the next book.

the smut, drama, mystery, and secrets has you at the edge of your seat. and that cliffhanger?! the theories that are popping in my head right now are going crazy. i need the second book like now lol.
the trauma that the sage, kaiden, vinny and beckham go through literally broke my heart. the spice on the other hand, oh lord 🥵

I apologize to the author for saying this but this was just straight garbage. This book reads like the smut was written first and then the plot was written around it. Actually scratch that. There was no plot. Sage is so unlikable. If I had a dollar for every time she whined I’d be rich.
Also this whole premise is based on The hallows games and they’re not even games! Like what? Why don’t you just call it the Hallows Cemetery Orgy?

for some reason i went into this thinking it’d be light on the plot but WOW was I wrong. I'm definitely intrigued enough to find out what happens in the next book, but also... holy dark smut on a cracker. 🥵🫠
all I know is that if you see me hanging out at the cemetery on Halloween waiting for Kai, Vin, and Becks to show up, mind ya business

DNF at 34%. I think I was expecting something different and I’m kinda over the treating her like cr*p trope because they like her. She just takes it as well and says thank you, which annoys me. Not my trope, but each to their own.

mmhh i really wanted to like this book but there were parts where it felt like i was reading a wattpad story lmfao a 7th grade WATTPAD STORY 🤣🤣🤣 but other than that this book has potential and the spice was phenomenal SOOOOO i’ll be waiting for book 2 because this ended on a cliffhanger 😭
