A SEXY NEW GRAPHIC NOVEL SET IN THE WORLD OF HIGH-CLASS PHOTOGRAPHY! FIRST TIME OFFERED TO COMICS SHOPS! Alex is a photographer for an ad agency who leads a fairly quiet and reserved life. He gets a call one day from a friend, asking him to fill in on a photoshoot in the Valley. The swimwear shoot is on a set where he has a chance encounter with Karma, one of the lead models. Karma is fiercely independent woman who is working on being more than a star, but a brand. In Alex she sees someone new to her world, unjaded by it. Someone with a fresh eye...and she thinks it could be fun opening his mind to new adventures. This sexy new graphic novel features a cover by Stjepan Sejic, known for his work on the series Witchblade, Aphrodite IX, and Sunstone.
Dan Wickline is a writer/photographer/bassist living in Los Angeles, CA. In comics he has written for the 30 Days of Night and Grimm Fairy Tales franchises as well as the on-going ShadowHawk and 1001 Arabian Nights: The Adventures of Sinbad. He's also written prose for characters such as The Phantom, The Green Hornet and his own creation Lucius Fogg. As a photographer, Dan has been featured in numerous gallery shows as well as a collection of his black & white work published under the title Private Skin. Dan had a brief moment in the Hollywood spotlight playing a corpse on the hit series Dexter, but now spends his spare time as the bassist for the newly formed metal band Murder Most Foul. Dan is happily married to his lovely wife Debbie, who has an amazing capacity to put up with the insanity that is his life.
This is so NOT based on a song by Taylor Swift. No, Dan Wickline's steamy erotic graphic novel series "Karma" is basically a Hallmark romance with lots and lots of graphic sex. And gravity-defying boobs. If that sounds like something you'd enjoy (and I'm not gonna lie---I enjoyed it), pick this up at your local comic book shop or the adult graphic novel section at your local library. (It's a good test to see how "daring" your local library is...) Storyline is kind of weak, but let's face it: you're probably not reading it for the storyline...
Bought this based in n Segics art on the cover. Interior art is inconsistent, focus way too much on the sex scenes and the story is kinda paper thin. Feels more like a showcase of not great porn art with bits of story to tie it together. I don’t recommend. Save your money and buy Sunstone instead, thank me later.
Yes, this is a "spicy" book, so maybe it's unfair to judge it the way I'm about to, but...I felt like the main male character was a bit too Mary Sue/Gary Stewart, the characters in general were kind of flat, the plot pacing was a bit strange (the transitions between scenes felt abrupt at times), and I'm not sure it was the best idea, in the edition I read anyways, to have a much better artist in Stjepan Sejic do the cover when the actual art was workmanlike at best. A bit disappointing from a critical perspective.
Hallmark porr.
A arte é bem bonita. Se for so cena de sexo, eu procuraria algo so focado nisso, sei la.
It's enjoyable for this sets out to do. A not very complicated story about an attractive woman who gets what she wants and the unwitting man who gets caught up in a fling with her. It's a light and breezy read with some great artwork by Carlos Reno. It's a worthwhile read if you know what you're getting into.
Starts off pretty boring about a photographer meeting a super model and starting a relationship. Then gets hot and heavy and very steamy into hard R territory. It's an extremely adventuresome relationship too which I didn't expect. Reminded me some of Stjepan Šejić's stuff.
Okay story is soooo flat and basic so basically just read for the art. Because it’s SO GOOD. I mean, the sex scenes are great. The rest of it is kind of inconsistent and unpolished lol. But they knew we came for the erotica and those were well done!!
Not the worst thing ever but everyone had 0% body fat, boob jobs, BLLs, 6-packs, etc. Explicit but not like, the most explicit (I.e. lots of boobs but no genitals or actual penetrative or oral sex shown.) Guy and girl have 1 date and they think they’re falling in love. Just meh

I'm totally here for a Karma/Millie the Model crossover! It could be either NSFW or just a a series of horrified reaction shots as Karma details her sexual exploits to Millie and Millie waxes nostalgically about the virtues of her numerous sexual harassers from the 1940s-1970s.
