For God, he answers the cries of the hopeless, and opens the gate of refuge through his retrieval organization, TROAS, to those who are suffering behind hidden doors. He owns no home and few comforts, but he has learned to use the worldwide network of believers to aid those whom he recovers from wicked traffickers.
Where few others dare to venture, Sladrick recovers the lost, offers them the Gospel of Truth, then disappears into the night . . . God never loses those who are His!

Who knew this story could be told!!!
Ok, so I'm old and wish stuff in this book never happens, but I was sent this for free to review.........and D I Telbat has a way of presenting this that was so compelling I just kept reading.. Yes, I've read the COIL series twice, and most of his other books. If you are searching spiritually read it, if you are a believer young or old, read it, it will impact your life in a positive way. Great read.

Another DI Telbat gem!
Easily the most heinous iof crimes is human trafficking. Women and children are made to suffer for years then usually end up dead. All to fulfill the basest of desires of evil people.
Mr. Telbat takes this head on in his latest book. But he does so with the same Christ serving type characters as are in all his other books. There are parts that are VERY difficult to read. Some will break your heart. Good. Let that cause you to do something to help fight human trafficking. Even if it's to make a donation.
Meanwhile see how this story takes some interesting turns in ways that only this author is able to produce.
Can't wait for the next installment.

Very heart wrenching! But encouraging!
This is such a sad thing that is happening around the world to women and children. It seems like there’s no help at but David shows us that there is always hope when a person brings God into the equation.
Thank God for organizations like Vision Beyond Borders and for David for bringing such organizations to the knowledge of his readers. I am always touched by his books.
After reading David’s books, I always pray and ask God if he wants to direct me in some way to become more effective like the characters in David’s books.
His books have deeped my faith walk.

I wish I could give it more stars.
Yes, it was heartbreaking, but having read all, or most all of D. I. Telbat novels,
I think this is his masterpiece!
What happens to the victims is tragic,
and yet, the author gives hope for strength and recovery
( not keeping a victim's status and outlook...tho yes, they were terribly abused)
but peace can only come thru God.
And....then there are the abusers, what about them?
As always, he dealt with that from a total godly Biblical perspective.

You will be on the edge of your seat with this one. Your heart will ache with the events in the lives of Marcy and Aidan. The horror of trafficking comes alive in this book, but amazing how rescues come through the mysterious person.

Wow, this book was so inspiring! Long overdue, this is a topic that needs to be addressed in the Christian community. It is definitely hard to read about and makes a person's heart break at such unspeakable evil that exists in the world. How much more then should it be that Christians shine Christ's light on that evil? While reading this book, I was so inspired to see people through the lens that the Lord sees us through--the actions of TROAS completely broke through my understanding of what it is to love those who do unspeakable evil and who need the Lord. It doesn't mean there are not consequences, but without the spirit being broken for the Lord, there can be no effective changes, prison or no prison. I cannot say it enough--would highly recommend!

HOPE
All things can be over come if one has hope. A small bible class gave her hope through the torture she endured during her captivity. This book is very religiously angled. If you have God in your heart you will bask in the reading of this story. If you don't. Try it. It can crack the door open to your heart excepting him and changing your ways. When all else has failed in my life I have turned it over to God and he has gotten me through.

Excellent!
The author does a great job of showing the ugliness of human trafficking. Stories don't need to be graphic to get the point across. The author also focuses on the redemptive grace of God. The victim and the perpetrator are still loved by God and He is able to give them new life!
Sold into slavery at a young age, Marcy must fight to survive. As God speaks to her through childhood memories, she focuses on Him and sees His mercy in her situation.

A must read for our time
This is an excellent book. I enjoyed reading it, and it was hard to put down. This story was written with love and a true heart for humanity. The words in this book speak volumes, and they speak loud in the language of love, healing, and forgiveness. For this author, the pin is mightier than the sword. In fact, the pin is an extension of his sword, and he knows what I mean.

The lost are found and founded (even as the fire and hammer found steel)
With great discretion and deep respect, D.I. Telbat produces lovely&loving stories that glorify our Living Lord Jesus. Exciting and adventurous, without 'denominational'izing, i appreciate the minimal ☆marketing☆of Christianity. He has created heroes that truly are consistent with their professing faith.

Wow! This is an in depth story about human trafficking. Only thing is, it’s written from a Christian perspective which makes all the difference! I didn’t want to put this book down.

This book, and the series for that matter, show a lot of what's going on in the world and in our country. You'll see it through the eyes of both believers and unbelievers. When I say believers, I'm talking about real Christians, who know the Bible well and live it every minute of every day. I'm telling everyone I know to get this book. You should too, you'll love it!
Reading this will make you want to have a closer walk with Jesus and do more for His Kingdom. You'll enjoy the Christian characters. In fact, they'll be so real you may even dream about them. I say that because, much to my surprise, I dreamed about them - more than once! Thankfully, I didn't dream about the bad guys.
