When Raven agreed to go to a club with her best friend, she had no idea it was that kind of club. Strait-laced and as vanilla as they come, she decided to bail, only to run into Chase and Sebastian.
Literally .
Chase and Sebastian are looking for a woman who satisfies their rather particular tastes. They believe that Raven is exactly the kind of woman they need.
Will she open herself to their world? Will they find their happily ever after in each other? Because, as far as they’re concerned, Nothing Else Matters.
This book contains a BDSM element. This is a HEA story with no cliffhanger. Due to explicit language and content, this book is intended for readers 18+.

Not a good match for me stylistically. I’ve encountered this writing style a few times before. It’s a bit like a highlight reel. It hits all of the plot points, but too fast, too smoothly, with any difficulty overcome too easily. The bad guy had a neon sign over his head and trusting him was like one of those horror movie missteps. The good guys are trusted way too soon, even for instalove. Kink was embraced too readily for such a vanilla character. Very too much and not enough. Feels like ordering a dessert and getting some sort of sugar free monstrosity that looks like a real dessert until you look closer. Leaves you distinctly unsatisfied. Quick read.
There have been four characters introduced so far. The FMC, her best friend, and both MMCs. I liked none of them. Also, the premise is just messed up enough to know that I'm not really missing anything I'll enjoy.
I found this book and author via a book review site, and I’m so glad I did.
Dark Trio is a wonderful steamy read, and the chemistry between the characters is palpable. I hated what the BFF did, but along the way, she redeemed herself. The writing is well done and I connected with the people and situations.
Here are a couple of lines I loved …
‘That grin lasted exactly as long as it took me to walk through the door and see where she’d brought me.’
And …
‘We moved together as one, and I could tell by her expression the moment she realized two very large, very hard c***s were pressed up against her.’ (The censoring stars are mine, for review purposes, and not in the book.)
At 97 pages, this is a short but incredibly enjoyable read. I’ll be looking for more from this author, and Dark Trio gets a solid 5 stars from me. If you like romantic erotica, you’ll love this book.

NOTE ON RATINGS: I consider a 3-star rating a positive review. Picky about which books I give 5 stars to, I reserve this highest rating for the stories I find stunning and which moved me.
5 STARS: IT WAS AMAZING! I COULD NOT PUT IT DOWN! — Highly Recommended.
4 STARS: I WOULD PULL AN ALL-NIGHTER — Go read this book.
3 STARS: IT WAS GOOD! — An okay read. Didn’t love it. Didn’t hate it.
2 STARS: I MAY HAVE LIKED A FEW THINGS —Lacking in some areas: writing, characterisation, and/or problematic plot lines.
1 STAR: NOT MY CUP OF TEA —Lots of issues with this book.
Uf, todo mal... Para lo que podrías esperar se queda corto, hay un intento de plot que no cuaja, todo sucede y se soluciona al instante y la prota es tonta y bipolar -.-
I wanted to like this so much but unfortunately it fell flat.
I picked this up on SYKD and finished it in a few hours. While the story was definitely there, the plot itself was good in theory, it whizzed by so fast. This book could have easily been 200-300 pages longer and my review would have been a lot different.
I think that the D/s dynamic is a little skewed for me. The MMCs basically just start doing things to the FMC without any meaningful conversation. It read like they had memorised the Wikipedia page of D/s dynamics and ran with it. There was no talk about boundaries prior (just "we're going to try this"), there was no talk of birth control, there was no talk of substance and the actual dynamic.
I question the wisdom of these characters and feel like a lot of decisions made and actions they took were just not logical. BUT, had this book been longer and we actually got to know the characters this might be different.
Overall there was a lot of plot and spice to pack into such a short book and as such it just fell flat for me.
Yet another "Stuff Your Kindle Day" read that I love love love! Quick to get into, the storyline was great, the characters were great, the spice was great. Finished in a matter of hours. 5 star read!
This was only 134 pages so not much to go off of. This was like the fast food drive through version of a spicy romance novel- straight to the smut. It was very very spicy but no real plot. I’ll probably read all 4 just because they’re quick.
I really tried to finish this but the writing was so awful. The FMC had an awful personality and honestly her actions were so erratic that they didn’t make sense. Like one minute she’s like omg need to get out of here, next she’s like oh hot guys teach me, then she has the audacity to freak out and blame her friend for her actions - if this was my friend I’d never speak to her again. I get that this is a novella but I think with a plot like this is needed to be a fuller book. Everything felt rushed. Even the smut was rush! Like how can one line be finally touching her with a vib and then the next like she 💥 !! Like where is the detail. The scenes are long anyway so I don’t get why they’re written so poorly. This book wasn’t for me
Very quick read, a bit like a highlight reel rather than a complete story.
I don't understand why it's called dark trio. I was expecting more of a dark story and it's not. At all.
I did like it but it was all just a bit too easy and for someone relatively new to relationships, she just accepts it all too easily and they know exactly what to do. It's just not authentic.
Saying that, I still liked it, some hot sex and a very easy read.
SPOILERS I question the thought processes by these characters. No birth control/ safe sex conversation No contract No limits discussed, just "we're going to try things" ---- No, that's not how it works.
FMC, Raven, gets "tricked" into attending a S3X club... fine I can see that, but walk out of its not your thing. You're an adult. You allowed yourself to stay, taking to hot AF men who invite you to their playroom.... and you willingly go.... this is not on your friend Leah .... that's on you. [She eventually apologized to Leah].... but considering she was so against everything, she sure embraced it. GUNHO!
When Andrew freaked out and revealed what happened to her first Boyfriend....ugh....Leah and Raven should have contacted him and confirmed everything and then the police should have been notified. Second, the employer should have been notified there was a conflict and requested accommodations.
When Chase dropped her off for her car and more clothes... he should have taken her keys and said "Let me unlock the house and make sure Andrew hasn't done something." Not ask, "Do you want me to stay?"
When Andrew is at the house waiting for Raven....... she should have backed out of the driveway, text Chase, Seb, and Leah. In no shape or form should she have gotten out of her car, let alone voluntarily go anywhere with him in his car!!!!!! WTF!?
Otherwise, decent descriptions, read as part of my KU subscription.
Finishing my second book of the week, and what can I say? It was such a good pick, with the exact amount of spice I love, the bdsm topic was super well developed, and the writing style was everything. I literally devoured it (I read it like in less than 24 hours??) but anyway, it was amazing. Seb and Chase are the perfect doms, always asking Raven for her consent and not forcing her to do nothing she didn't want or didn't feel ready to
The only thing I hated a little was the beginning with Leah, what she did wasn't meant of a best friend, but anyway, she redeemed some chapters later and I thank her for it
Pick this book up if you like - Menage relationship - BDSM -Dom/sub dynamic - Bondage - Wax Play
This was another Stuff Your Kindle day find. I didn't know much about @LisaWood or the series, but here with are with a BDSM sex club owned by two men who bring Raven into their trio. Guess what? I was intrigued for sure. There was honestly more storyline than BDSM, and of course I loved our main men Chase and Sebastian -- I am always going to root for men who protect their lady. It was a little too insta-love for me, which is normally a turn off, but since they met in a sex club I will let it pass, ha! Will I be immediately getting the rest of the Club Inhibition series off Kindle Unlimited to see what happens to all our side characters? Yup.
This book started so abruptly, it kind of had my head spinning.
Raven is a shy person. She goes to a club with her friend that turns out to be a sex club. She says she'll stay for an hour, but after 20 mins wants to leave. She bumps into 2 guys who she let's buy her a drink and then get handsy on the dance floor. She the agrees to go to their room where they tell her all about bdsm toys and she doesn't freak out. Then they get her off and come on her but don't remove her underwear.
This is all consensual.
The she wakes up and goes psycho on her friend, blaming her for everything! Why??? It makes no sense. She wasn't drunk or drugged.
But then the same friend thinks it's OK to give out ravens number and address after all this??
Ja, I'm out.

I was gonna give this book 3 stars, but one scene in particular deserved the 4th one.
But first why the 3 stars.
I plot had potential, but it everything happened too fast. The intro to BDSM, the psycho, the everything else. Too fast. No time to digest for the reader.
And the kidnapping, for how short the story is, unnecessary.
Also, the writing could have been better. Much too often the paragraphs had the same words written again and again, when you can rephrase it and mean the same thing, with different words. It could give a much more polish feeling to the book.
Now, what deserved a while star is the scene with the double penetration. I’ve been reading threesomes for some time and NONE has a double penetration written. Out of 15… So, yeah, I while star for that~ ♥️

I read this in one day because it is super short but also enjoyable. As much as I liked it, there was more potential. I will admit that I highly disliked so many different povs in such a short book. I kept just wanting to read what Raven is up to. But I got used to it and understood why it was done that way sometimes. Less would have been better.
The bad guy was too obvious, and her fear of him happened too quickly after being friends for so long. That was a bit rushed, and I also found the scene where he captured her very pointless and incomplete. I would give this a 2.6 perhaps, but because I did finish it in one go and enjoyed it enough to stay entertained, it deserves a 3 because I am not normally easily entertained.

Contemporary romance (ménage) + Light bdsm First person, all love interest pov TW: subtle gun threat, general light bdsm
Lighthearted storyline, 3 sex scenes and more orgasm scenes, a few of the scenes felt rushed tbh, there was no third act breakup, mostly an external plot tension
The bdsm education was mostly glossed over into about two conversations but we get safewords and check ins during scenes. she also gets the basics communicated to her. It’s mainly light, we also get confirmation that she slowly learns it over time since we get a few time jumps
I couldn’t tell the two guys apart at times tbh but I liked the lighthearted book overall!
I really enjoyed reading this story, it's got some wonderful experiences in BDSM 😃. So many people can't think outside of their own boxes that they've been raised to believe is the only way and it's really sad 😪. Thanks for being open and showing that the norm isn't the Only normal 😊. I'm looking forward to reading more by you Lisa 🤓.
I really enjoyed everything about this. Is was a cute very sexy short book. 1st time reading this author and I'll be checking more out. I'm glad that she put aside her thinking and gave it a shot. Turned out they are fantastic guys and really want her. Make me wish I had that in my life lol. Please enjoy this shirt story.
This was a great novella about Leah and her encounter with club owners Chase and Sebastian. They found her immediately when she walked into the club and both knew she was their forever. Leah shy and not a hook up girl finds herself with a crazy worker and two guys she falls head over heals in love with. The love and spice was great!
This was woefully written. The author just tells you bland information, so you don't get lost in the story. The characters are one dimensional at best. It's like the author read 50 shades of grey and decided to write a fanfiction where she adds in another man. No build up, no chemistry, no character development and very bland sex scenes. Utter waste of time.
The spice in this book is why I gave it a second star. I very much enjoyed the imagery of the writing in regard to the spice. Everything else however was just lacking depth. It felt more like yada yada yada spice, yada yada yada conflict, conflict instantly resolved, then spice.
Hands down - this was one of my favorite BDSM books!! In today's world - many people find it challenging to see beyond their own experiences and beliefs and see different perspectives! Embracing diversity in thought and being open to new ideas can lead to a richer, more understanding world. Now - onto the second book!!!
One of the best books I've read in 2021, I'll be reading more of Lisa Woods books. Highly recommend, we need more books like this one. The love the 3 have for each other is amazing and the chemistry is off the charts.
* * * Spoliers ahead . . . So the guy from work who is clearly obsessed with her asks her to go for a drive with him so he can say sorry and she just does it. Is she stupid?! Of course its going to go badly.
