The happily ever after translates to a playground/summer camp setting of board games and game center games in another world, by a reincarnated into a Demon Lord exJapanese man. The great number of Lolis around a grown man makes me kind of cringe, but the story about playing games and having fun together, is just a slice of life (vacation life) in this other world.
The illustrator, drawings are some of the best I have seen on a Light Novel series. There is no map of this other world, of the Demon Lord's territory, etc. There are no illustrated character summaries. Because the story is so laid back, about half feels like a side story. It is kind of hard to believe that the toughest monsters/adversaries met in this first book were some dog sized ants...
The human adventurers and nobles barely show up, and run away as soon as they encounter the Fenrir wolf or the warnings from the main character.
Hard to know where a story like this is going, since it's all board games and fun in this first book. Not much adventure, action or traditional "monster hunting, adventurer's guilds, etc. in another world"...The system in this other world, is super generous with the main character and because of his large territory and numerous retinue, main character gets a lot of daily Dungeon Points every day...that main character uses to purchase food from Japan and all of his Over-Powered (OP) artifacts, abilities and weapons...Because author tries to make it a comedy (and not all the time succeeds) all of his experiments (main character) turn out to become useless summons or Loli beast-spirit-kin little girls...

I was curious about this light novel as it had a few things I look for in my isekais and light novels. And in the end? It was not bad. Not terrible, but also nothing really special about it. The protagonist is fairly interesting, seems to be in it just for the sake of trying to set himself up for a peaceful life. The 'harem' he collects comes across as pretty unsexual, which is nice, though there are hints at the end of the book that this may change, which gives me a bit of a pause.
The women of the 'harem' are all pretty diverse and interesting, though a couple of them suffer horribly from second character in a light novel syndrome and only really have a couple character traits and that's it. I hope they get development later on, and probably will, but you never know.
There are a couple good moments in this book where something bad happens and the protag has to go and flex his protagonist powers to get revenge or set things straight. Those moments were enjoyable, though handled with less blood then you see in other light novel series. (not a bad thing)
All in all, this was an enjoyable book and I have already purchased the second in the series.

Reborn as a demon lord and protector/builder of a dungeon, the OP MC quickly makes friends with an ancient dragon queen through the power of sweets and ends up with a vampire kid as his ward because of bad humans (which he has to deal with). It is not bad, but it very much feels like a worse version of the Lazy Dungeon Master. For one thing, the MC is OP and smashes his way through problems, for another the dungeon building and level system feel meaningless. When the author wants something, it is there. All in all, it did not make that much of an impression.

This month, it's available free to J-Novel Club subscribers so I decided to read the series. Paedophilia is used as a joke and the protagonist has a 'harem aura' which means that any female character that he befriends becomes 'harem-adjacent'. I thought it would be a series with father-daughter vibes but the 'daughters' are merely lovers-in-waiting. They just have to grow up first. Ugh. Anyway, so far, the facade hasn't fallen off so the daughters are still treated as daughters and other than that, the writing style is pretty funny so I will continue with this series until then.

Quite fun reading. Some nice iyashikei chapters, but still with some typical overpowered isekai battles. Lef's character looked like a fun take on a mix of Aqua from Konosuba and Shinobu from Monogatari.

Sol fantasy

Five stars for the interesting setting and character interactions. It manages a bit of tension despite being almost entirely a slice of life story.

Funny, cute and laid back

Not what you'd expect from the title, but this one's worth a read! Very lighthearted and warm writing with some splashes of action
