Nickelodeon has a hit with the Tween audience with Zoey 101 -- starring Jamie Lynn Spears, l'il sister of "the Brit-ster!"
Zoey has finally made it through the first co-ed year at PCA and it's time to celebrate with the beach party to end all beach parties. However when campus brainiac, Quinn, tries one her Quinnventions on the kids, the whole student body ends up stranded on an abandoned beach.
Will the results be more Fantasy Island or Lost when the students of PCA finally put their boy/girl battles to rest and work as a team?
Jane B. Mason grew up in a large family in northern Minnesota. She has written books for kids of all ages under many names and on many subjects, among them ghosts, Jedi, detective duos, princesses, twins, mean girls, and slam books.
Jane has lived in the midwest and on both coasts, but appears to have settled in Oakland, California, and writes almost every day at either a friend's dining room table or a little studio in her back yard, where she has a purple loveseat, a whole lotta books, and an odd selection of trinkets she has unwittingly been collecting since she was a child.
Two of the tv episodes rolled into one book. In the first half you have Backpack and the second half little beach party. Perfect palette cleanser of a book. Nostalgic and easy to read in one setting
I thought that this book was good yet not the best. I mean it was only 106 pages. I read this in a night and a morning. It had 2 of the Zoey 101 stories and the first story was about a senior named Stacy who stole Zoey's backpack idea and started selling them. In this part I could really feel the character's anger. But Zoey's idea to get payback was great. She started selling bigger and better back packs. In the second story they had just finished their exams and they were pshyed to go to the beach. But one of Quinn's Quinnventions made them all sleepy and they all fell asleep. When they woke up it was about time for the last bus to be leaving. They all rushed to the bus but it was too late. They tried calling a cab and ended up at the wrong beach. They all started yelling at each other but Zoey told them to stop and make the best of it. So they played in the water for a couple hours. After that they needed to get serious. How were they going to get home? Quinn combined Micheal's computer with Chase's phone and was able to call someone. In the end they all really enjoyed the trip. I recommend this book for ages 8-14.
I found this book in the Little Free Lending Library. I watched a few episodes of the show when I was younger, so I thought I'd pick it up for a quick read.
It was an okay book. It is actually based on two different episodes of Zoey 101, which is a little awkward. After the first "episode" concludes, the book just jumps right into the second one, with only a few passing references to the first story. A little bit weird format-wise, but I understand what the authors were trying to do since one episode would have been too short for a whole book.
Okay read overall. It was entertaining enough. I wasn't expecting anything great. The narration was kind of awkward as the third-person narrator tried talking like a preteen girl, but overall an alright right.
when it comes to kids books i like the keep my reviews short and simple... elementary yes, middle school and high school... no way. wayyyy 2 easy. need a harder challenge
This book is good beacuse the people get lost in the book and they get find there place were the party is at.So the thought the party at the beach were there was no one their to hang out with
