Given as a gift. Kept as a prisoner. Fighting to be a queen.
Sasha: She was given to me as a gift, with a twist. I was to keep her safe, protect her. An old friend called in a big favor, and now I have this innocent young woman in my home. Scared, fragile...tempting. The lines blur and the heat between us ignites. She's my good girl gone bad, and I'll burn the world down to keep her safe.
But as we grow closer, old secrets rise to the surface. I'm supposed to keep her safe, but she hasn't told me everything. I can't protect her if I don't know the truth, and soon things take a dangerous turn. One even my power and money might not be able to fight.
Leah: He's my owner. For a few months. It's all fake though. Really, he's supposed to protect me. The trouble is, he wants more. I can see it in his hungry gaze. Worse still, so do I. Yet the world he inabits is dangerous. and full of sin. Too much for a girl like me. Then he says three little words, and I'm lost. "My good girl."
I'll be his good girl, in private, but I also want my rightful place by his side. As his queen. I won't give up this fight because it is the most important of my life. Then fate throws us a curveball, and a secret I'd long thought buried resurfaces. My past and my future are at war. I can only pray my future wins.
Redeeming dark and dangerous heroes one book at a time. Skye Jones is an award winning and USA Today Bestselling Author. She writes dark mafia and contemporary romance as SR Jones, and angsty paranormal romance as Skye.
When not writing Skye can be found reading, dog herding, or watching gritty dramas on Netflix with her husband. She lives in the grey, windswept north of England, which fuels her taste for the dramatic and the gothic.
This is the second book in the Club V series. This series revolves around the three Volkov brothers (Nikolai, Sasha and Maxim). While they do own some legal enterprises, the family is involved in illegal arms dealings as well as bribery, blackmail and other nefarious deeds. Each book highlights one of the brothers. Book #1 was Nikolai (owner of Club V) and Sienna's story. Book #2 (this one) is Sasha's and Leah's story.
Yes, there were some errors/typos, words out of place. But those were far and few between. I usually highlight and send any errors I find directly to the author, but honestly, S.R. Jones tells such a good story and I got so engrossed in it that I forgot to highlight any of the errors I came across. Hopefully someone else sent them!
I love these characters. Leah is a sweetheart, kind of a dreamer, she has plans. She might be innocent, but she's not naive. She lives in poverty and has a hard life in a dangerous neighborhood with a cousin who's in a gang and deals drugs. She doesn't feel safe around him and his friends. After witnessing a horrific crime and with the perpetrators after her, with no money and no where to run, she accepts an offer to be auctioned for a set period of time, after which she is free. The promise of a safe, security guarded place to live while she is being groomed and prepared for her auction as well as a new identity and a percentage of her sale price when her time with the buyer is up, all convince her it's worth a few of months of her life to have the means to escape and realize her dreams. With second thoughts the day of the auction her fear shows and she is noticed by a woman who is there to purchase auctioned items (not humans) for her BDSM club. She takes pity on Leah after talking to her and stays for the human auction to buy her, then gifts her to Sasha to protect with conditions.
Sasha, like the other Volkov brothers, doesn't believe he is capable of loving a woman. Even women he's had relationships with he has felt nothing for them but lust. But something about Leah calls to him. He loves her innocence, her tender heart, how she blushes yet never hides what she's feeling. He knows she was running from something and vows to find out what and keep her safe. I loved that it was so easy for Sasha to admit his feeings and tell her he loves her. (Unlike Nikolai, where it took losing Sienna before he could say the words to her.) Though that did make Nikolai's story a more emotional, heartbreaking one, I think I liked Sasha's character better.
The more time these two spend together, the more Sasha realizes he doesn't want to let her go when her two months are up. He battles, not only Leah's insecurites and lack of self-esteem, but the promise he made to his friend that he wouldn't touch Leah unless she touched him first. Additionally he has to deal with the specific rules of the auction until her time is up or risk putting them both in danger. Ultimately, he must deal with the reason she ran in the first place which rears it's ugly head in a horrific way. All this makes for an interesting and engaging story. This one is 4.5 stars for me.
Looking forward to Maxim's story and getting to know him. He is the brother known for always f√[

Oooh. I like. Second book in the series and Jones has upped her game where the Volkovs are concerned. In a world where things are all screwy and dangerous men have all the power and influence, Sasha Volkov is a formidable, yet swoon-worthy presence at Leah’s side… and it could not have been a more intriguing read!
Whilst the overall outline of this story has similar blueprints to the first book in the series, Jones still manages to ensure differences amongst the Volkov brothers and their relationship with their respective heroines. Although Sasha and Nikolai have similar traits, they also have contrasting characteristics, and this book re-iterated those distinctions.
I may have been on the fence with book one, but I was completely absorbed throughout this sequel by Sasha, Leah and their story. They’re definitely more my jam! 😊 I usually try and avoid romance reads that contain any sort of BDSM and/or “impact play” (a term I’ve recently come to learn) of any kind as they’re not my kink (no pun intended). When I realised this book touches on these topics I admit I had doubts on whether to continue. So glad I did! Sasha and Leah are an engaging couple with such an interesting dynamic. An opposites-attract coupling who realise they’re more alike than they first thought. Their romance toes the line of insta-love but there’s enough developments throughout that gives their relationship genuineness and depth.
Whether it’s through jaw-dropping scenes, well-placed and unexpected comic relief, or intense interactions between Sasha and Leah, these elements in this steady-paced narrative keeps you on your toes. Just like with Marked By Him, it featured very little of the action and suspense where their criminal organisation is concerned. But unlike the first book, with how this story progressed, it didn’t feel like it was missing that dark element. There was plenty of developments between Sasha and Leah.
They’re both likable and entertaining characters. Leah is a down-to-earth heroine whom I found to be fairly relatable yet quite unique in her own right. Sasha is Sasha for a reason, and his backstory is the reasoning behind his character and why I think he’s the perfect match for Leah.
You’ll also be fictionally transported to a vivid London backdrop with plenty of British jargon thrown in by Leah. I, for one didn’t understand any of it but I was highly curious all the same! 😜
It’s a great read that in my opinion leans more towards contemporary than dark romance. It deals with realistic and relatable issues of social standing, family dysfunctions, and personal insecurities adding a lot of heart and soul into their story. It also broached on human trafficking/ prostitution but it’s not overly graphic or triggering. It can be read as a standalone but there’s a continuous storyline in the background interconnecting the Volkov brothers. I would recommend you start at the beginning of the series to get the full scope of the world-building and the extent of the brothers’ relationship and dynamic.
If you enjoy minor BDSM in your romance stories with an age-gap and captive romance tropes, give this one a try. If you’re an avid fan of criminal syndicate romances looking for your next read, the Volkov brothers are Slovakian which I found to be a cool little change of pace from the many Italian, Russian, and Irish criminal underworld/ mafia-type romance reads out there. It may not be as dark or gritty but this book delivers on the romance aspect ranging from kicks and giggles, to aww-inducing sweet, to full-blown smutty, before concluding on a HEA!
Leah got herself into some hot water through no fault of her own, and because of that, she ended up being given to Sasha (bet you didn't see that coming LOL), who wasn't too big on it at first. He's a serious man who exudes quite a bit of power, but doesn't think that he would ever do love in his life but he certainly didn't count on this young girl who would turn his life upside down in the very best of ways. They dance around each other for a minute but seriously, the sparks are flying everywhere so it was only a matter of time before they lit the sheets on fire. She can't leave his house because of the danger to her, but she doesn't let it bring her down, nope, she just lives her life in his house with the super sexy Sasha, and an entertaining supporting cast. One of my favorite things was Sasha has a lot of money, but Leah can't even handle spending a lot on her which made her very charming in my eyes. There's an emotional aspect to it as well because Leah truly believes she's nothing coming from the family she comes from, but she's such a decent person that it couldn't be further from the truth, and Sasha definitely made sure she knew it as well. I promise I'm only scratching the surface here, so to experience this story fully, you'll have to actually hit your one click buttons, so don't even think about it. After that tease about Sasha's youngest brother, I'm dying inside for more, and HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
I really didnt think I was going to like Sasha from the snippets and cameo scenes in Marked by Him (Nikolai's story). But I'm so happy I was proven wrong.
The amazingly talented SR Jones kept him bad enough to say he was a Volkov but tender enough that I fell for him.
Leah is a great female lead. She isn't overly antagonistic toward Sasha. Not a lot of the "I'm fighting my feelings" but she's not a doormat or pushover either.
These two complimented each other well. But I'm really excited for Max's story next. 😁
T R O P E S - Light mafia - Billionaire MMC - Runaway FMC - Light BDSM (spanking, vibes, safe word, ropes, etc.) - Dom/bratty sub - Loooooots of praises - Virgin Heroine - Possessive and Protective MMC - Forced Proximity - Touch her/look at her and die. - "She's mine"
T H O U G H T S I liked Nikolai in Taken by Him... but I loved his older brother Sasha more. Even though Sasha was sometimes an asshole, you could see how much he loved Leah. There was never an hesitation coming from him. He always gave her a choice. There was no miscommunication between them. It was refreshing. If Leah didn't like something, she didn't hesitate to call him out and he didn't hesitate to apologize for it. They both respected each other's limits. Even when when Sasha was bossy and telling her to do stuff, he if even saw a shift in her body language he'd tell her that if she didn't like it/enjoy it/want it then he doesn't either. That's what I like about him (I know, the fucking bare minimum). He was an alpha hole... but never (ok, not ALWAYS) to Leah.
I also loved Leah, she was sweet and kind and told him about her insecurities. She didn't keep things bottled up (well, except for one thing, which you'll need to read to find out.)
Anyway, I'd definitely read again and promote this book. !
3.5 stars I didn’t think this book was dark or heavy at all. There’s no war, no deaths (except for one person no detail at all about it). It’s a clean book, a little predictable at times. I just keep hoping the author will get dark with her Hero’s but it just doesn’t go that way. Sasha is sort of possessive but not crazy possessive. He seems to genuinely care about the h. The h is kind of missing a backbone, not that she’s weak, she just isn’t very strong. She keeps her secret hidden from Sasha then it becomes exposed so she runs away only to be captured by thugs I guess, unknown details what happens to her, and winds up at the police station. The story line is fine, the plot is fine. There is growth with the characters so I did get to like them both at the end of the book.
This book had good spicy scenes but overall the plot and whatnot was confusing…I feel like it didn’t develop the characters as much as I wished it did and it went from 0 to 100 real quick. Overall was not feeling the book but the spicy scenes were pretty decent
ARC REVIEW I absolutely loved this book. Leah is on the run from her cousin as she's seen something she shouldn’t have, but when she meets the man that’s protecting her, after going through unusual channels for safety, the unthinkable happens. Given To Him is a definite page turner and will be back for the 3rd book in the series too. SR Jones, you nailed it!!
I loved the first book in this series and was excited for Sasha’s story unfortunately this fell flat for me. I felt there was a lot of repeating information we already knew. Especially at the beginning. From reading the first book I already knew how Sasha ended up getting Leah and it was all rehashed in this book. If the repeating only happened in the beginning I could understand it but it kept happening. Especially around Leah’s backstory. I really didn’t understand why it kept being repeated almost every other chapter. It was nothing so complex that called for that. On top of that I did not like Leah’s character. For being a girl raised around criminal activity she was very naïve to that world. I found it very hard to believe that she thought her cousins gang was any match for Sasha! This was another thing that kept being brought back up. She lied and complained about everything, most of the time making her look like a dumb brat. She wasn’t this little innocent girl that needed saving like the description of the book lead me to believe. She regretted a life choice she made after witnessing something terrible but she wasn’t forced to do anything. She was never a prisoner. She was under Sasha’s protection. I understood why Sasha didn’t want to say he was committed to her since she literally lied about everything she told him. Sasha deserved better. Even the twist that resulted in them ending up together was Leah’s fault because she didn’t just tell Sasha the truth. I’m hoping the next story will have a better female lead with very little mention of Leah.
I enjoyed this story a lot more than the first one. That being said, Sasha captured my attention from the moment he showed up in Marked by Him. Overall this is a good story. It has good plot and characters and I liked that we got an introduction to them in Marked by Him.
All that being said, there are a few things that I wish this story would have had: 1) I wish that we didn't know as much about Leah's (FMC's) background. I think it would have added to the suspense if we were privy to parts of her story so that when it all came out it was a bit more dramatic. While I like that we weren't in the dark like Sasha was about everything, I think we could have been given less of her background.
2) I wish there was a bit more spice. I think that the set up was there and S.R Jones did a good job at setting the basics but there could have been just a smidge more considering the type of man that Sasha is. I think this was a classic "telling and not showing" situation.
3) I found that it kind of ended abruptly. We were given a decent amount of closure between Sasha and Leah but I think it ended abruptly which I felt was the same as Marked by Him.
Overall, I enjoyed this story and I think each book I read by this author just keeps getting better and better.
I received a copy of this book from the publisher/author to review for Stephanie's Book Reports.

This is the story of Sasha and Leah. Sasha is not a good man on the surface. But when a old friend calls in a favor and needs him to keep the most innocent girl he has ever seen safe for a while, he does it. He is a man who has all these friends and he is the only left that hasn't found his other half. He has never ever understood how you could be so invested in one person, one woman. Leah is a woman on the run after she just so happened to witness something she shouldn't have. Now she needs a place to hide and is basically changes her looks and is sold off to the highest bidder who just so happens to be the one who was asked to protect her. He is one of the best looing men she has ever seen in her life. She is instantly attracted to him and can tell by the way he looks at her that he wants to make her a not so innocent lady anymore. But she wants more. Can Sasha really give it to her though. She wants to be by his side. His equal and he is a man who has resisted that his entire life. Can she get her man? Will he be able to keep her safe even though she is keeping a huge secret from him. I really loved reading this book. I loved the characters and they has such a great story to tell. It was amazing to see Sasha change before your very eyes. This is a book that you do not want to miss.
I've been reading books from this lady for a while now and I can't get enough. She has this writing that will hook you up in a sec and make sure you want more... Been there, done that, and have a badge to prove it. SR Jones has given me some of the best mafia series I've read so far and it's not enough. I will always want more and I make sure to tell her just that. Given to Him is her latest release and it's the second book from the Club Volkov series. This book explores the lives of Leah and Sasha. But, one side note, I advise reading Marked by Him first. You won't regret it. Leah's life changed in a sec. After witnessing what she shouldn't, she needs to runway from her cousin. When she's made an offer... Sasha is one hot man and he knows it. He's a Dom, something that used to excite him but over the years, that passion dissipated. He's still into it but something is missing. He's fed up with not being recognized for his actual value, for his abilities, and that it's worse when it's your own family. When a friend of his brought him a gift... OMG... OMG... I was stunned... Amazed... You name it. This book was so freaking good that I couldn't stop reading it. Stellar plot, well written, super hot, engaging, and intense. Sasha is hard around the edges but Leah made an impact on him. It's amazing to see the changes love can make. The characters worked perfectly with each other and you can feel their struggles, their pain. So so good. And the hot stuff... Oh boy... It started slowly, like a small fire and soon it changed into a blazing inferno. It was amazing to see some of the questions I had from the previous book of this series answered, but like a good book, new questions appeared and now I'm left wanting to grab the third book asap. Please SR, don't take too long. I need Maxim and Aurora... And of course, I won't mind having more news from the other characters from this and the previous series.
This book was very steamy. Spicy and good! I don’t normally read dark romances, but this one didn’t feel as dark as I thought it would be.
I didn’t view Sasha as a huge threat to Leah. You can tell from the very beginning that he cares about her on a deeper level, even if his feelings started out as being completely sexual. However, they slowly change into something more, and it was a beautiful thing to read. 😍😍
Leah is scared and broken when she first meets Sasha. She is fearful for her life and just wants someone to protect her. She never imagined it would be somebody like Sasha or that she would feel the way she did.
The chemistry between the two is off the charts. There are a few scenes where I was like, “oh boy!” You could cut the sexual tension with a knife, and when they were together, it was hot. 🥵🥵 There was something about the two that they couldn’t keep their eyes or hands off each other. 🔥🔥🔥
My only issue with the book is how it wrapped up. When I was about 85% through, I actually thought that there was going to be a second book because I didn’t think that there was any way they could wrap everything up in such a short amount of time. But they did, and unfortunately, it felt really rushed for me.
I wanted to know more about the threat to Leah and how everything went down. I wanted to see Leah and Sasha explore a real relationship together. I also felt like once they had their big ‘conflict’ that it was resolved within a few pages and should have been longer and more thought out. There was angst throughout the whole book, but I wanted more angst between the two of them.
Overall though, this was a good mafia, age-gap romance, and I did enjoy it. So if dark romance is your thing, you should give this a read! ❤❤
An excellent read with plenty of actions and intrigue but not so much death and mayhem that the story seems overly dramatic and more focused on torture and dead bodies, than character development. I like how this author manages to write a decent love story amongst the background of the criminal underground with good characters and a female character that is able to hold their own. There was a strong attraction between Sasha and Leaha but a slower burn to the actual sexual encounter. Insta-love is a turn off for me because it seems too "reality TV" staged vs., taking the time to build the characters as individuals before hooking them up sexually.
Sasha' character (could melt any woman's panties). He was classy, but rough around the edges and had a milky hot center that made him the perfect anti-hero to this story. Leah's character held her own in a situation that could have gone sideways at any moment. I love all the brothers in this series and look forward to Maxim's story.
If you are a seasoned reader of this genre that has read their share of over-the-top death, mayhem, and torture inflicted upon the MFC by the MMC, you will enjoy this series. It's a class above the over-written forced marriages, kidnapping etc., and takes the reader down a completely different story line but gives you a great story.
Wow, Sasha’s book was a great read. He’s a powerful man in his own right but he wants a part of the family business and is determined to get Nikolai to agree to let him in. He’s just a broody as his middle brother, he’s sexy, and he’s lethal. Sasha is not a man to show kindness, and when he finds himself being a protector, he has to tame his powerful side and “try to be halfway decent”.
Leah made a decision that she’s rethinking now, but in order to. Survive she had to leave and find a way to be safe. The trouble is, will her decision she made put her in a worse spot? Being given to a powerful stranger could be more dangerous than living on the streets trying to avoid the gang hunting her.
I loved the sassiness of Leah when she became bold and stood up to Sasha. I also loved the soft side of Sasha when he showed it. Leah’s past is knocking on the door and she’s afraid of being put out on the streets and having to survive. The Volkov men are powerful a lethal, but they have a lot of decent amongst them that they need to repair to be a powerful group. Individually, they’re powerful, but together, they can be so much more. I love these books and the characters are always enjoyable to read. I give this book a 5-star review and I’m excited for Maxim’s book.
Sasha Volkov, Nikolai’s brother based in the US, is a financial investor and was sent by their father to be educated in abroad. To date, he has looked after the legal aspects of the Volkov family business. Sasha comes to London determined to confront Nikolai and have a fair share of the power that Nikolai now has. Nikolai and Sasha have a thorny relationship. Both, having complex personalities, makes the possibility of redeeming their relationship in doubt. During his trip to London, he meets with his friend Miss Mary who has invaluable information that will catapult the Volkov’s’ business. Leah Rhymes, witnessing a violent murder, finds herself accepting a contract for 10,000 pounds to be sold at an auctions. This will ensure that she is safe from those hunting for her. Terrified, she finds a rescuer in Miss Mary, who buys Leah as a gift for Sasha Volkov, in order to protect her. Miss Mary’s ‘gift’ complicates life for everyone but Sasha is immediately mesmerized by Leah. and wants to claim her for longer and more than her contract. The book has a captivating storyline and the reader becomes engaged by the emotional evolving of the characters.
This book was more enjoyable than the first by far. I enjoyed Sasha as a character more than I did Nikolai. But I wish we could have gotten to know Sasha more. On a deeper level, rather than a basic level of how he wants her sexually.
Like we get it, she's hot and young. But there has to be more there than a young hot girl for a relationship to last.
I actually liked Leah throughout the book. Except when she decided that being dishonest about her past was a smart idea. Like c'mon. You ran for a reason. Let's get our wits about ourselves. This is when the writing loses me. Let's not write these women to be such dimwits. Let's give them some smarts and honesty when they are at their worst.
These characters were lacking in personality. In both books that I have read they are lacking in personality. I find that very odd. When you are writing a character you want them to have their character traits so that you as a reader can relate to them as a person.
There is just nothing to keep me coming back to this series and I honestly don't think that I would come back to this author unless she was able to make a huge change in her writing.
I found this book to be hard to read, yet I still was drawn to continue reading. It’s dark and at times rather heavy, but I’m glad that I persisted.
Sasha it’s not someone I would want to know in real life. He’s bossy, demanding, overbearing and very full of himself! He’s got arrogant down to an art form. But as much as I disliked him, I found him strangely fascinating. At times. In parts. (Between the arrogant and overbearing bits.)
For Leah though, he’s perfect. She compliments him so well and the romance between these two moves along really very believably.
There are also plenty of other characters and a strong story line behind them both to keep the story far from boring. All of the other characters are well rounded in their own right and I enjoyed the building of their stories and personalities. (Easton is my favorite - he sounds like a real sweetie!)
This is book 2 of the Club V series, with book 3 still to come. If you like a bit of dark romance with a side of strong men & veiled danger, this book will suit you well.
Book 2 introduces us to one of Nikolai’s brother Sasha. He is powerful, demanding, sexy as sin, successful & desperately falling for Leah- the girl he is suppose to be protecting. Leah sold herself in an auction to get away from her cousin who is currently looking for her to make sure she keeps her mouth about what she witnessed! Leah doesn’t know what to do because she is starting to fall for Sasha but she is hiding a dark secret and she worried he won’t be able to forgive her and love her and Jen he knows the truth. This was an intense book and you will thoroughly enjoy watching Sasha fall head first for Leah! Leah is strong willed and isn’t going to let anything happen that would stop Sasha from wanting/needing her. We finally get to meet Maxim in this book and I can’t wait to read his story next. Club V series is filled with huge men with even bigger egos and the women who have stolen their hearts. Enjoy this amazing series. Happy Reading!!!
Despite the circumstances in which Leah comes to stay with Sasha – and despite his promise to keep her safe and not touch her, both quickly succumb to an intense physical attraction. We’re told that Leah is feisty, with a tendency toward bratty behaviour, but we see little of that from this frightened, submissive young woman. But while she stood her ground on some occasions, I didn’t find her particularly strong – rather, an innocent enamoured with a rich, powerful, dominant, older man. Fortunately, Sasha was equally infatuated with her despite the secrets she was keeping.
I enjoyed the family business/criminal aspects of this story and the tie-in to characters from the author’s previous series. This age gap romance features plenty of drama & angst, and some mild suspense along with several steamy, explicit encounters featuring a power differential, praise kink, some spanking and bondage.
I received an Advance Reader Copy of this book, and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This is the second book in this series by this author. This is the story of Sasha and Leah, these two have instant chemistry between them from the start. What starts off as an agreement quickly turns into something more with these characters. This book is so gripping, you'll be reading long into the night. This book has it all, plenty of steamy, passion, hate, love, suspense, drama, action and just so much more from start to finish. This is an amazing addition to this amazing series of books by this author.
I was given an advanced reader copy of this book and this is my honest review
I love this series, and this one may surpass them all!
Another “tough” situation. Leah is running for her life. An offer of security and money has her making a promise, which she regrets. To truly protect Leah, she is sent to Sasha who must pretend to “own” her for two months without touching her. Upon seeing Leah he renegotiates the deal; he won’t touch “first”. If Leah makes the first move, he can reciprocate.
We have mafia politics, and the danger Leah is facing, all while she is slowly coming under the spell of Sasha. Sasha made fun of his brother and others who “fell” quickly – but now he is beginning to understand. Danger, intrigue and one of the best developments of a romance. A beautiful setup for the next in the series has me eager for more!
***** I am voluntarily leaving my honest review of this book *****
Sasha is not a good man in retrospect, but beneath his guarded exterior is a man who needs his other half, he just doesn’t know it yet. Everyone around him has found their person and he thinks it’s ridiculous to be that invested in a woman until he gets a chance. Leah is on the run after she witnesses something she shouldn’t have and now she needs a place to hide. What better way than to change your appearance, and be sold off to keep yourself safe. Little did she know the person who bought her wasn’t keeping her but giving her to Sasha for safekeeping and hands off for the next few months. Sasha is gorgeous, sexy and all gruff and Leah is sassy and beautiful, and the spark between them is undeniable. Will they be able to keep their hands to themselves or will they succumb to their desires? I’m loving this series.
I knew Sasha's book was going to be intense from the glimpses we got of him in Nikolai's book, but this was on another level!
Leah is given to Sasha as part of an agreement, but as soon as he sets eyes on her photo he realises it's not going to be as plain sailing as he first thought! And then when he sees her in the flesh, my god I thought my kindle was going to spark! Their chemistry was INSANE!
The delayed gratification was EVERYTHING 😍
Leah doesn't have it easy, not only is she trying to hide her real identity and secrets from Sasha, but she's also having to fight against her heart to protect herself. But Sasha is a force to be reckoned with, he knows what he wants, and he knows what she wants, and he's not about to let her give up 😏
Everytime we get another book in this world it feels like coming home, and I can't wait for Maxim's book 😍
This is the second book in this series, and this is Sasha and Leah’s journey. Sasha is asked a favour by an old friend and that is to protect Leah. Leah is on the run after she witnesses something she shouldn’t have. Sasha sees through Leah’s persona to the strong woman she is, and there is an instant attraction between them, and he will do whatever he must to protect and keep her safe This is a well written story which has friendships, chemistry, twists, secrets, passion, romance, emotions, and leads to a steamy page turner. I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend. I received a free copy of this book via Give Me Books and am voluntarily leaving a review.
