Mediocre at best.

WOW!! I couldn't put this one down. I absolutely love it!! This was a nice quick, short read.
Hank meets Reese when she's at the store grabbing last minute items she needs for her camping trip with her sister Brianna. Hank is headed into the mountain to go mining not by his choice, he tries to flirt with Reese but she doesn't take it like that. As Reese and Brianna head up the mountain they spot Hank pulled over with his hood up and smoke coming out of his engine. Reese pulls up next to him and asks him if he needs help, he tells her he'll call someone. Reese tells him that there's not cell service and he'll could be stuck out here for a while. She asks him where he's going and he tells her to the river, she tells him to climb in they can drop him off that's where they're headed. Her sister doesn't like that she's picked up a stranger, so Reese tells her to drive while she sits in back with Hank. When they drop off Hank at his spot, Joe comes and ask him who that was. Hank tells him he just caught a ride with them. Joe orders his crew to go kill the two girls. Hank takes off after the girls to warn they they are in danger. He gets to their camp spot after it gets dark, he tells them they are in danger. When he suggest they hike out of the mountain, Reese tells him her sister is pregnant. They decide to wait until the morning. Brianna pulls Reese into her tent and they argue while Hank sets a trip up around the tents. When Reese comes out she tells Hank he getting into her tent with her. She tells him to strip off his clothes and hands him a towel to cover up with. They hang their clothes up to dry while she tells him to get into her sleeping bag. Hank tells her he'll be fine but she knows he won't since temperature reach below freezing. Hank climbs in the sleeping bag with Reese but he can't help himself and they start kissing. Reese can actually see he's attracted to her, she tells him she's never done this before. They hear a noise but when they listen again they don't hear it, so they go back to making out. Reese jumps when she hears her sister scream and Hank is up putting on clothes. Joe has Reese's sister Brianna he tell them he followed Hank otherwise he wouldn't know where to find his brother. Brianna is shocked that they are brother's while Reese stays in the tent. Joe and Hank argue back and forth, they find out he's come to kill the two girls. Reese jump out of the tent and tackles Joe to the ground. She tells Hank to grab some rope and help her, they tie Joe up to a tree. Brianna is packing up her things and they decide to head out of the mountains. When they finally get back to Reese's jeep she tells Hank she called the sheriff and he should be there. When the sheriff arrives he takes Joe into custody and Brianna catches a ride with him back to town so she can get a hotel room. Reese asks Hank if he wants to finish what they started, he tells her only if he can make her his forever. Hank tells her he's been making plans to make her his since he first seen her, he wants to move to Rugged Mountain and find a place by the river. Reese tells him she's renting to own a little place by the river. Hank tells her that will be perfect for them to make their own. Reese tells Hank to make her his, and he does, he tells her he loves her and she looks at him. She tells him she loves him too. Six months later, her sister Brianna had her baby and bought a little shop in town and is selling tea. Hank and Reese got married and are expecting a girl in a few months. Hanks brother, Joe spend a few months in jail and had to pay a fine, but he has a second chance now and hopefully he does something good. Reese is happy she has her sister close by, a little house by the river, and the man of her dreams and a baby on the way. Reese could bet all the gold on the mountain life couldn't get any better.

You never know what you will find out in the woods
Badass is the fifth book in the Rugged Mountain Ink series and is the story of Reese and Hank. If you read the previous book in the series, Fearless, then you may remember Reese as the young runaway who's parents hire Abe to find her. When Reese turned eighteen she left home without telling anyone and came to Rugged Mountain to become a firefighter. But she found after a while that it was not for her. She had found her community though so instead she got a job at Rugged Mountain Ink and is now apprenticing as a tattoo artist. When her older sister Brianna comes to town to visit Reese decides to take her camping up in the forest on Rugged Mountain. Brianna may not be into camping but she is game to spend some time with Reese and also take some time to figure out a few things in her own life. As these two are getting some final supplies at the local store Reese bumps into an older man who more than piques her interest. Hank has driven from Alaska to Colorado to do a job with his brother and a crew of men. As it turns out this job is not above board and will put the ladies in some danger But it is Hank who steps up to keep them safe and protected, and ends up with Reese and himself together.

Reese is a total badass. First she decides to be a firefighter, and moves to Rugged Mountain to fulfill that dream. Once she realizes it is a hard job, she changes to tattooing. Either way, she’s making it on her own. Her big sister, Brianna, comes to visit and they go camping. On the way up the mountain, Reese meets Hank. Tall, dark, and dreamy. He’s at least 20 years older than her, and keeps making her feel like the “little lady” that needs a man to take care of her. They prove each other wrong in the hours that follow and fall head over heals in love. Definitely a fast-paced, instalove story. I love all the characters on Rugged Mountain, and these 3 aren’t any different. Will read Brianna’s story and any more that are offered!!.

This is the fifth book in the Rugged Mountain Ink series. Hank and Reese's story is a short and steamy age gap instalove. You can enjoy this book as a standalone but it is connected to the other books so you will see precious characters. Reese and Hank click the moment they met. Reese was introduced in book four. She came to Rugged Mountain to follow her dreams of being a firefighter realizing firefighting wasn’t for her she decides to stay in the area and work at the tattoo parlor. Hank is in town to work but it what he's there for is shady and could put Reese in harms way.

I received an ARC from the author and am voluntarily leaving my review. This is another good addition to the Rugged Mountain Ink series. It is a short, instant love story between an older man and younger woman. Reese meets Hank right before she and her sister go on a camping trip. They both feel an unexpected attraction. That connection is going to complicate both their lives rather quickly. Is he a bad guy acting good, or a good guy needing to protect his girl from a bad situation? I liked both the characters and the way their story played out. I'm curious to see where Brianna's story takes her.

Parents always tell their kids to never talk to strangers and to never pick up hitchhikers. Reese ignores both of those warnings from her parents when she meets Hank while she and her sister are on a backpacking trip to the mountains. However, had she followed her parents advice she'd never meet and fall in love with the man meant for her. So sometimes it's good to ignore the advice....but probably only in fictional stories.

Finding the one regardless of age! This is about Reese and Hank. Her sister, Brianna is also in the story. The story starts off with the sisters going hiking to spend some time alone. Reese ends up meeting Hank in the store where they both stopped by to pick up some goodies for their trip. The story is great as Hank is older but the attraction between Reese and him is there and there is a surprise in there as well. Love this story as he becomes the hero at the end and life is born!.

Reece came to Rugged Mountain to join the fire department, but after training she realized it was not what she wanted and soon found a place at the tattoo shop. Now with her sister, she plans to enjoy some quiet.
Hank came down from the mountains to help his brother. When he crosses path with Reece there is something he realizes that he needs to stay away but can't.
This is a great fast read with a splash of danger, family drama and heat that grabs you tight.

In this book we meet Reese & Hank. When this book opens we find Reese in a store hitting on Hank. Though nothing comes from it but she wishes she was smother. Hank would really like to get to know Reese better. The only problem is he knows his brother will never let it fly. Can these two find a HEA or will there be other things that will make sure that never happens?

The fifth installment of Khloe Summers Rugged Mountain Ink series, Badass, is the best yet! This short, steamy age-gap instalove has everything and more - wonderful characters, explosive chemistry, entertaining banter, a little action and adventure... Hank and Reese are a match made in Heaven and their story a well-written, engaging, must-read from beginning to end. Awesome!

Reese decides what she wants and goes after it. Her journey has taken a few side trips but now she’s headed for a HEA. Hank filles into immediate attraction mode when he sees Reese and falls even more with her kind ways and her badass attitude. These two are great together and both can be sassy but protective of the ones they love. I received an arc copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

That is until she has to give mister big sexy man a ride. Her sister Brianna is along for the ride. Danger awaits top of Rugged Mountain. Will Hank be able to stop the landslide about to happen and claim Reese for good?

A great book added to the Rugged Mountain Ink series. Hank is an alpha male willing to protect his girl at any cost, but he knows how to appreciate a woman's independence without stepping over her, and I love that. Reese is a badass, but she is still insecure in matters of her heart. But Hank knows how to fix it. 5 stars.

This was a great short read and I really loved these two characters.
Reese is a tough independent woman who isn't afraid of much. Right from first sight of Hank she knew she was strongly attraction to him. Hank was a little worried that he is older then Reese, but he coukd not deny his feelings and attraction towards her. I can picture hus future with her by his side.

This was a fun fast paced read that had great action for being a short story. I liked the characters, the surprises, danger and the twists...as well as the steam ;P Altogether, it was entertaining and I can't wait for Brianna's story :)

Wow...that relationship went from 0 to 60 really fast. I loved the storyline, how Greg was so protective of Reese. Especially after finding out who was trying to hurt her.

I loved Reece. She is this risk-taker who's up for an adventure. She's everything I'm not.
I like that she just wanted to help her sheltered sister live for once and in the meantime find that man who matches her in every way.

I am loving this series! Each couple is different! There is always excitement and romance! Not a lot of spice but oh the sweetness makes up for that! Short and sweet! Leaves me wanting more, aka the next book in the series! Haha
