Rate this book
Will they find their way out of disaster and into each other’s hearts?

When the opportunity to make a huge real estate sale presents itself just before Christmas, Riley McKinley knows it could be a career-maker for her—even if it means being away from her family for the holidays.

Ski instructor, Sebastian Rockwell, wants nothing more than to escape the holiday frenzy back home--especially now that both of his brothers have settled down, leaving him as the sole recipient of his mother's match-making efforts. When he's offered some extra hours at his Fairbanks resort, he jumps at the chance for a no-stress holiday.

They have nothing in common except for their shared desire to escape the resort as quickly as possible. Unfortunately, a snowmobiling misadventure leaves them trapped behind an avalanche wall on Christmas Eve with no one around to come to their rescue. Is their holiday ruined? Will Riley miss out on the opportunity of a lifetime? Will they even survive the night? Here’s hoping for a Christmas miracle or two…

AWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!

Sebastian and Riley are insanely cute together!

Riley is super short and Sebastian is really tall which is definitely not my ideal love story because all the short girls get tall guys! AAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH! (I'm OK. *takes deep breath*)

Sebastian takes such good care of Riley while they are stuck in the snow. He even sings to her!!! *swoons*

It wasn't such a calming read because they are stuck in the snow and are scared especially as they are freezing to death but still wanted to let people know.

NOTE: This should be read after In Love with the Slacker it just makes more sense when read in that order.

Content: kisses, they are stripped down to their undergarments but because they need to share body heat but even with that Sebastian was a gentleman so this is still a clean read

I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Seattle realtor Riley McKinley is not thrilled when, a few days before Christmas, the day her Christmas holiday is to start, her biggest client asks her to go to Alaska to help he with a deal there--immediately. But he is her biggest client, it's a potentially career-making deal, and she likes him. So she flies up to Alaska.

When she arrives, she's met by Sebastian Rockwell. He's the winter sports coordinator for the resort chain that Riley's client wants to buy one currently-inactive location from. Sebastian is the last unmarried son of a match-making mama, and he dislikes Christmas as much as his mother and the rest of the family love it. He was happy to take the extra hours to be the tour guide for Riley and her client, when asked.

When they reach the lodge, they're surprised that the client isn't there yet, but they get settled in, eat supper, and make plans for a snowmobile ride early the next day, expecting that Riley's client and Sebastian's boss will arrive before noon. Their mutual attraction contends with their very different attitudes toward Christmas, and there is lively banter on the snowmobile ride, right up until they are caught in an avalanche.

Riley is smart, capable, and tough, but she doesn't have
I Sebastian's avalanche training. He's the one who has to keep them alive until they can be rescued.
f they are found in time to be rescued.

The story is overall light and fun, despite the avalanche and the fact that they really have no idea whether they'll be found in time. The characters are likable, for the most part. There's not a lot of depth, here, but, after all, you don't necessarily need a lot of depth in a light, Christmas romance.

Enjoyable.

MUST LOVE MISTLETOE is the third book in the Alaskan Sunrise series. These can be read in any order. Previously released as I’LL BE HOME FOR CHRISTMAS, Cupid’s Bow, Third Generation #3.

What a sweet, short, Christmassy, and Grinchy holiday romance story!

This whole series has been wonderful, but I think I - unintentionally - left the best for last. I loved how in each book the characters are so different and yet each knows and believes when they have found ‘the one’ that they don’t need to fight it. Love is so rare it should be treasured immediately!

Now that I’ve read all of the third generation, it makes me hunger for the first and second generations of romance in Cupid’s Bow.

Note: while I was given this book as a gifted ARC, my opinions are my own and are given freely.

Title: MUST LOVE MISTLETOE
Series: Alaskan Sunrise #3
Category /Genre: Contemporary Romance, short-story

I really enjoyed the simplicity of this one. It’s refreshing to read a romance where two people just… like each other. No miscommunication. No secret betrayal. Just a snowmobile mishap, some flirty banter, and a mutual vibe.

Also: bless the author for giving us a shorter book. As a mum, I don’t always have the energy for 400 pages of emotional whiplash. This was light, easy, and mostly sweet.

That said — the plot hinges on a pretty intense avalanche scene, and it’s not just “snowed in with cocoa” vibes.

“Snowed in” to me means the road is closed and we’re stuck in the chalet. Not buried alive in an avalanche.

As someone who lives in the mountains and takes safety seriously, I was not expecting the level of drama involved. It felt mismarketed — and if you’re sensitive to survival situations, definitely go in with that in mind.

Would I recommend? Yes — if you’re after a simple, low-angst winter romance. But I’d slap a soft trigger warning on it for avalanche/survival themes.

I love Christmas and I love happily ever after Christmas stories. This short book from author Melissa Storm was a perfect book to curl up with in front of the fire (even in Florida this week-end).

Riley was another person who loved Christmas but right before this year’s holiday she is given the chance to make a very large real estate deal many miles from home. But she couldn’t pass it up and was promised she would be home for Christmas. Meanwhile, Sebastian was looking forward to staying away from his match-making mother and is given the chance to work some time at the Fairbanks resort.

The two meet and within a few days, their lives change forever. As Sebastian is showing Riley the beautiful views of the resort, they have a terrible accident and end up in an avalanche. They are beneath a lot of snow, it’s cold and how will someone find them. The book is well written with the characters, the description of the cold and the situation they were in. Great Christmas read.

This is a great story to read to get you in the mood for the holidays. Riley loves Christmas and does not want to have leave Seattle for work during this special season. Sebastian does not like the holidays and would rather be anywhere else that home during Christmas. He is relieved that he has to work instead of being with his parents and family.

I love the way Melissa Storm tells the story about Riley and Sebastian meeting for the first time and discovering that they must work together during this special time of the year with their different feelings about Christmas. The plot and characters are well developed and there are some tense moments that will keep you turning pages to find out what will happen next.

This is a great book to read while sitting in front of the fireplace with a cup of hot chocolate.

She’s leaving Christmas behind in order to give her career a boost, and maybe give her parents a special gift. But she’s willing to make the best of things… even if she can only decorate for one day… And, really Christmas lives in your heart, anyway.

He’s leaving Christmas behind as fast as he can… along with his mother’s cats and her penchant for merry matchmaking. And the carols and the blinking lights and the whole darned thing…

There’s not much left of the Christmas spirit in Sebastian’s heart.
And Rylie loves Christmas with all her heart…
Maybe a little of that’ll rub off on him?

And God has a way of making you stop and think… Even if it takes an avalanche to get your attention.

Oh, how I loved this story! There were moments of joy and pure silliness, even amidst great danger. And proof again that Love will find a way.
Bottom line: This is a keeper! 5 stars.

Suspenseful Romantic HEA
Riley is a very dedicated realtor and she has been asked to go look at a resort in Alaska for her client during Christmas week with the promise of getting back to Seattle in time for Christmas with her family plus a substantial bonus. Sebastian has a degree in business and uses it all the time in his career as a winter sports advisor to the state’s most popular chain of resorts and he has been asked by his boss to meet and show the resort to Riley and her prospective client with the promise of getting back to his family’s Christmas celebration in time for dinner. Plus a substantial bonus. Sebastian lives in Anchorage and needs to drive to Fairbanks to meet and pickup the realtor and her client from the airport. This is the beginning of the story, it’s very good, great characters and a wonderful plot. I was given this and I voluntarily leave this review.

A pleasant read

Riley loves spending Christmas with her family. That’s Love with a big huge enormous L. Sebastian however finds it overwhelming. It’s just too much. Sadly for Riley she has to go to Alaska for work, unexpectedly. Sebastian is to be the one who shows her and her client around at the resort. When they meet, they’re both instantly attracted to each other. Riley acts quite flirty and Sebastian is really sure of himself one moment, although the next moment he can be a bit shy. I liked the easy banter between them.

It was a nice, quick read. Pleasant. Cute. Sweet. And even a little suspenseful. I really liked it. It had a good flow.

This is a delightful, clean Christmas romance by Melissa Storm. When Riley has to leave her family at Christmas to negotiate a real estate deal, she meets her guide, Sebastian, and they soon discover an attraction. However, she loves all things Christmas, and Sebastian just isn’t “into” Christmas. When he wants to “show off” to Riley on his snow machine (snowmobile), they find themselves in a life-threatening situation. I couldn’t put the book down until I saw if they would be rescued and if they would develop a relationship through this adventure.

I loved the characters and would have loved for the storyline to continue. I highly recommend this book to all who enjoy clean romances.

If you are looking for a great Christmas book that will keep you hooked from the beginning to the end, then look no further. This book holds your attention from the beginning to the end.

Riley is really big into Christmas and can't wait to spend the holidays with her family. However, work gets in the way and she has to go out of town to show a client a business property.

Sebastian isn't big on Christmas and is dreading having to spend the holiday season with his whole family doing all the activities that his Mother has planned. So when work takes him away at the holidays he is willing to go.

See what the holidays has in store for Riley and Sebastian. You will love the story I am sure.

Sebastian and Riley have an instant awareness and attraction for each other but, their meeting is because of a real estate transaction and it's all business especially when it is three days until Christmas. The object is to complete the business and hurry home to be with family and friends, at least for Riley. She loves Christmas but, Sebastian isn't a fan but, doesn't want to be working either. Their intimacy is uniquely garnered. Sebastian and Riley find themselves in a disaster situation and it's Sebastian's knowledge and training that saves them. It is an intense and suspenseful story that begs for a Christmas miracle.

This is one book of a collection that I voluntarily reviewed this after receiving a free copy.

This was a short, sweet romantic story set in Fairbanks, Alaska.  Riley has to fly there from Seattle right before Christmas because her top client demands she does the deal of buying the Frosty Peak resort. I liked the other characters too.  Sebastian, who is a Winter Sports manager had to show Riley and her client the resort. He absolutely hates Christmas and of course Riley wants to decorate the resort before her client arrives since it is right before Christmas and she was supposed to be on her way to see her family. This book made my heart beat fast as I quickly read to find out the ending. It turns out the Grinch really did grow a bigger heart in this story.  I received an advance copy of this book and I willingly chose to write an honest review.

What happens when a scrooge and a full-fledged Christmas believer meet? Well, in I’ll Be Home for Christmas by Melissa Storm you find out. This is a must read! I read it in 6 hours and couldn’t put it down! And neither will you!
Sebastian Rockwell is the Winter Sports Manager of the Frosty Peak in Fairbanks resort that his owner is selling to Riley McKinley’s client. When they meet they don’t get off on the right foot as one loves Christmas and the other doesn’t.
Some very unusual circumstances bring these two very close and they have to work together to survive which brings to self-awareness and love.

Christmas is family and love, but the trappings of the season, with Santa on display before Halloween, can be beyond annoying even if you aren't feeling Grinch-y. One can grow to hate Christmas music, the whining and falsely cheerful tunes wailing at you constantly from every source. Unless, of course, you are one for whom it is Christmas all year 'round and those same trappings enwrap you in their cozy familiarity. He said/she said culture clash/crash waiting to happen.

It is amazing how much action is packed into this small, bright and breezy, Christmas Miracle love story--just the holiday bonbon for the rushed holidays.

This is a great book to read not only at Christmas but all year around when you want to have a feel good feeling. One loves Christmas the other does not. One loves their little home town and never wants to leave the other would rather be anywhere but here for the holidays. This is a fun read where to opposites with different feels for the holidays must work together helping the other work through some issues. I really liked Riley and Sebastian they were down to earth. The plot was great with true emotions. It was a believable story of normal people with normal issues. It is a feel good story that will make you smile.

A really enjoyable, sweet and clean, well-written romance. The story had a cheerful air, even though it involved a scary life-threatening episode of snow conquering man! There's also some religious overtone to Sebastian's story, but it's not preachy and, come on, when's a better time to introduce some faith and religion than at Christmastime?

Alaska is a character, like spotting wild caribou on the move and enjoying winter sport in wide expanses of snow-covered hills. Nice!

I read a complimentary advance copy of the book; this is my voluntary and honest review.

I enjoyed this quick read centered around the holidays. I can read holiday books any time of the year, so I loved reading it in the summer! This is an "opposites attract" story and I enjoy those! Riley loves Christmas, Sebastian - not so much! Sebastian's mother does Christmas overload and it's just too much for him. She cracked me up with all she does for kitties around the holidays! I can see why he had a hard time with it! Riley lives in Seattle and Sebastian lives in Alaska. They come together when Riley's boss wants her to help him view a property for sale in Alaska over the holidays. Sebastian is part of that property, and HIS boss wants him to show it to Riley. When a huge accident happens, what will the status of their relationship be? Could a quick "meet and greet" turn into something more?

Riley is asked to go to Alaska to look at some property for a client and she so wants to refuse. Its only a couple of days til Christmas and she wants to be home with her family, but this is a very important client so she finds herself heading to Alaska. Their she meets up with the buyers point man, Sebastion. Sebastion is not only a sports manager but he works as ski instructor and search and rescue. So it is his job to show Riley all the good points of the resort. So while showing her the views he lets his attraction to Riley distract him enough that they get caught in an avalanche. Will they survive? Will the growing attraction continue to grow?

This was a sweet, well-written book. Real estate agent Riley loves Christmas, but when her best client asks her to help him tour a property in Fairbanks right before Christmas she agrees to travel there. Ski instructor Sebastian will do anything to avoid the holiday frenzy, and when his boss asks him to give a prospective buyer and his agent a tour of their Fairbanks resort he doesn't hesitate to agree. I enjoyed reading about the interactions between Riley and Sebastian. I look forward to reading more books by this author.

Bleh. Ridiculous. Hmmm.....one more word....Awful. Thought of another one - Asinine. Granted, this is a book of fiction; however, I highly doubt anyone caught in an avalanche, waiting to be rescued, would undress right down their skivvies. This is not romantic. This is just stupid. (If I'm wrong, give me proof that this is what you do to survive an avalanche.) By the way, your chances of survival within 15 minutes are good, but after, slim at best as the minutes go by. Boy did I roll my eyeballs at this one.

Only the potential for a large commission from her best client had Riley get on a plane to Fairbank Alaska days before Christmas. Sebastian is happy to escape all the Christmas craziness in his family for a few days to show the resort to Riley and her client. During a tour of the trails, they get caught in an avalanche and will need to keep their spirits up until they get rescued. I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review. This is a sweet Christmas romance that can be enjoyed any time of year, especially on a hot summer day.

Riley loves Christmas, so when she is asked to fly to Alaska to buy a winter resort for one of her best clients, she wasn't very happy.
Sebastian is a ski instructor who needs to close a selling deal for his boss a few days before Christmas. This will allow him to get away from all the Christmas celebrations.
When they get themselves in a dangerous situation, they think about life, Christmas and God.

Wonderful Alaskan Romance
This is a sweet, clean romance with elements of faith. The Alaskan setting is perfect for the Christmas theme. This is the 3rd book in the Alaska Sunrise Romances series. A simple wholesome romance story that takes place in Fairbanks, AK. A possible sale of a resort brings together Riley McKinley (real estate) and Sebastian Rockwell (winter sports coordinator) who seem to get along except for their differing opinions about Christmas. An avalanche disrupts plans and places them at risk for their lives. A fast paced read.
