Kylie In high school, he had saved her from a bully who had cornered her at a party that she shouldn’t have even been at. Then he called her Little Girl and threatened to spank her bottom if she wasn’t more careful with her safety. She was the dorky girl with glasses and braces, and he was her secret crush, the "bad boy" that all the girls swooned over. And even though they hadn't spoken since that night, she still fantasized about being put over his knee.
Ash He was the “bad boy” then, and the label still fits. But now, he only did bad things to help those who needed his protection. He had been called Daddy many times over the years, but no one had affected him like the little girl from his past who was standing in front of him at the club, drunk and telling him that she had been fantasizing about him since high school.
Daddies of the Shadows is a series and is best read in order. However, each book can be read as a standalone. This book is a DD/lg romance between two consenting adults. If this is not something you enjoy reading, please do not purchase this book.

This is a great Ddlg romance read! The history that Kylie and Ash have and the way they meet up again feels so organic and sweet! I’m a sucker for a man who is hard and scary but seems to melt only for the one girl he truly cares about and Ash is a perfect definition of this.
Daddies of the Shadows books all have an undercurrent of suspense and crime solving or protection and this is no different. The way the plot swirls around Kylie is so intense and Ash is left feeling his own intensity and when he can finally lose himself in his desire for Kylie and block it all out is so sweet and loving and yummy!
I read, with very mixed feelings, the author's West Coast Daddies series. I decided to try this one to see if I liked it better; I didn't. I could go into great detail why, but it really boils down to one simple thing: any author who writes a scenario in which the MMC blames the MFC for her own sexual assault goes on my never again list.
3.5 stars. I actually liked this one better than the first book in this series. Ash and Kylie are super cute together and I really enjoyed seeing their dynamic. Especially with the sweet aspect of them being secret high school crushes for each other.
The ‘little’ time they had together was really cute and fun. The sex was hot and I loved the dirty talk. The plot was simple with just a hint of danger to spice things up, keep it interesting, remind you that the men are dangerous and not to be fucked with. The relationship was fast, but super sweet and I enjoyed seeing it unfold.
It wasn’t my absolute favorite DD/lg book, but it was a good second place for sure. I’m looking forward to the next books in the series.
This story was everything I had hoped it would be and then some! I was excited to know that Ash was next after reading Knox's story. Kylie has loved him forever but he didn't seem to notice her. Now years later, he's suddenly back in her life and I loved it! I can't really say a whole lot because I don't want to spoil the story but trust me, if you like stories about Daddies and their "littles", this is one book you need to pick up. Ms. Oliver knows how to reel her readers in and keep them there. Loved seeing all the "brothers" together and I loved how Kylie stood up to her dad and how wonderful her relationship was with her mom. A lot of times I see stories with horrible parents so it's nice to see good ones! And lets talk about Claire and Pop!!! Is there a budding romance in the makings there? That would be so neat to read. Everything about this book was wonderful and I can't wait to see which brother is next!!
I liked this book. I was excited because I kept seeing all the book ladies saying this was a must read. This is the first AND last daddy/little troupe I will be reading. I literally cringed the entire book. The story was good. It kept me going, but by the the middle I had to stop for a day because it was so cringy. Dont get me wrong if you're into the daddy/little troupe then you will most definitely enjoy this book. I had originally added all the books into my TBR pile, but after reading this one they all went back. Would I recommend? Not unless I know the person is ok with these kinds of troupes and kinks. The spicy parts were great dont get me wrong. But I would not read again.
As always, Kate didn’t disappoint! I am in love with this series—even if we’re only 2 books in—and I cannot wait to hear the other brothers stories! Kylie & Ash are such a sweet, sexy couple! This story painted a wonderful picture! I couldn’t put it down!
I absolutely love this story. Ash and Kylie are phenomenal together. I love how she brings out the teddy bear in him. I adore them. The secondary characters are just as good. Their journey together is sweet and gives you all the feels. The writing and flow of this book is done well. I highly recommend this book.
Ash has loved Kylie since High School but never told her. 15 years later He see her at his Brothers bar drunk so he takes her Home. Ash a d Kylie are 2 star crossed lovers that get a second chance. Beautifully written with some elements of age play
Not sure I can pick this up again. There’s just something wrong with “punishment”after confusing the poor girl with your indecisiveness that forced her to seek happiness elsewhere. This subject matter is off putting.
This is book two in the Daddies of the Shadows series! Ash is everything a Daddy should be! He and Kylie met in high school but back then he was the bad boy that liked his girlfriends to call him daddy and she was the bookworm introvert. Even back then he felt protective of her but nothing came of it. Now they are all grown up and Kylie is searching for a daddy online, when her date cancels she decides to head to the club alone and after a few too many drinks she falls right in to Ash’s arms! Unfortunately danger stalks Kylie, but with a daddy like Ash and his awesome brothers watching her back the bad guy doesn’t stand a chance! I LOVE Ash and all his brothers and can not wait until the next book is out! There is a HEA and definitely steamy scenes!
I received an arc copy of Ash. It is the second book in the series. And while technically it could be read as a stand alone, I would suggest reading the first book Knox to familiarize yourself with the characters and story. Ash is a bad guy, but a good Daddy. And while they knew each other growing up, things are different, feelings have changed. His Little girl desperately needs a Daddy, a Daddy exactly like Ash. There is a great story and hilarious creative swearing.
Kate Oliver is a new author for me and is quickly becoming a favorite. After reading the first book in this series, I was quick to download Ash. The best endorsement I can give an author is to look forward to the next story. I am so glad that I found Kate Oliver. I see many hours of enjoyment ahead reading her books.
This 2nd book in the Daddie's in the Shadows series is a wonderful continuation to the series. It has a beautiful blend of drama , sexy times and is written so very well. Lots DD/lg moments and sweet TLC too. It can be easily read alone but starting with number 1; Knox, adds an element to the overall story. I can't wait till the next book.
Kylie and Ash fit so perfectly! She has certainly met her match! This book was funny, cute, sexy, sweet, and full of love! I legit messaged Kate Oliver and gushed about the book! I loved how sassy and bratty Kylie could be... but it did get her in trouble! She loves to talk back and boy she gets herself in trouble! This is a wonderful book with fun and wonderful characters. It is the second in the series but could be read as a standalone. The great characters from the first were brought into this story as well. I will definitely be reading the next book! You must read this!
Things happen as they are meant to and people get thrown together again if they miss their first chance. Kylie and Ash are kids when they missed their chance and now that they have another chance nothing will so this Daddy from claiming his Little. I really enjoy this family and I'm excited to read about the remaining brothers.
This one was close to the same length as the first in the series, but was a much faster read for some reason. I really liked how Ash and Kylie interacted, and there was just enough drama to keep it interesting!
Given the story-line of "old high school" crushes, it very much felt easier for these two to come together so quickly, more so than Addie and Knox. What didn't really make sense was by Ash wouldn't have gone after her in high school...it's not like he was shy or unconfident...so why didn't he pursue her then? The only thing that almost turned me off was the punishment she received after she got kidnapped...felt a little victim-blaming. If Ash had had his head out of his ass, she wouldn't have even been in that position!
3/5 stars. I have read it, I liked it...I don't need to read it again.
Wow holy fudge Daddy Ash and Kylie were just as amazing!!! I flew through this book and loved that they both had crushes on each other in high school. Another unconventional meeting that turned into so much more I was living for it. Love this series so much I don’t know what I’m going to do when I finish it it’s so dang good!!! And again I love how close knit the family dynamic is with them all!!! I loved that even though they both wanted to fight it they couldn’t and it made it so much more fun and spicy!!
This book was cute and the 2 in daddies in the shadows series. The little scenes were cute and comforting and the $ex scenes were spicy and descriptive. I didn’t appreciate the way the MMC acted toward the FMC when she almost got abducted. She obviously didn’t do it on purpose but the reaction was uncalled for. Overall I’m excited to see where the series goes with the rest of the brothers
I really liked Knox and Addie but Ash and Kylie are strong competition for favorite book in series. Great storytelling and fabulous characters. I cannot wait for the rest of the brothers to get their stories told.
Just read the blurbs for Beau and Wolf - freakin' can not wait!
