At first I was delighted with this book, because it took objects from the Star Wars universe and treated them like important galactic museum pieces. But the novelty soon wore off. I can look these objects up on Wookieepedia. The book is aesthetically pleasing, however.

Star Wars 100 Objects addresses 100 items from the films and TV series as if they were in a museum display on Coruscant. So, it's a somewhat in-universe text, but not to an exciting degree (few Easter eggs here). The pictures and format are lovely, and the text is often engaging. It's just a drag that the objects are so limited to Skywalker-adjacent nuggets. Did nothing else ever happen in this galaxy far, far away?

This was a very cool look into important objects throughout the Star Wars universe that ties together a lot of the lore throughout the different eras portrayed in the series. It ties the originals, the prequels, and the sequels together nicely.

This was a look at 100 objects from Star Wars broken down by the Republic Era, Imperial Era, New Republic Era, and First Order Era. Each entry contains a location, date, a bio detailing the item and its importance to Star Wars history, and then a photograph of the item from the Skywalker Ranch and LucasFilm Archive.

This was an interesting look at some of Star Wars most iconic items and some not so iconic but are important to the history of the world. I enjoyed learning about these objects, even if a few were a bit boring. I assume that the archives limited what could and couldn’t be included in the book because I know there are restrictions at all archives. I do wish that we had gotten a still image of each of the items from the movies and shows to put some of these items in context of the scenes they were in, but the archival images were great and high quality.

I wish I could buy every book published by DK Publishing company, but my budget has limits, so I have to choose wisely. For this time, I chose this book Star Wars 100 Objects: Illuminating Items From a Galaxy Far, Far Away… by Kristin Baver. As a sci-fi lover who also enjoys watching star wars films and related shows, this book never disappoints me. It contains a lot of high def pictures of sw items and showcases 100 interesting objects such as lightsabers, Palpatine's robes, the Z6 jetpack, etc. It provides the location, date, details, and pictures of each item, and the detailed parts are really in depth.

I got this out with some others about SW, and it has been sitting around for a while. It's not really a great book, just a seemingly random collection of objects from the three eras of SW films. A few are interesting and illuminating, others are no more interesting than finds at a rubbish dump. Super fans of SW may find it interesting, I did not, but it was light reading and a break from other things.

Nice book for Star Wars fans

I really enjoyed this book on the Kindle. Written in the style of a museum guide or a popular archaeology book this volume has pictures of 100 Star Wars artefacts with appropriate in universe text descriptions. It's up to date and includes the Mandalorian and Ashoka. Great fun!

As an art historian, I really enjoyed reading this book. I love imagining that the galaxy far, far away is real, and this was the setting of this book. I imagined Kristin Baver walking me around a Skywalker Museum exhibition. The writing was immersive and really reminded me of a real museum catalogue.

I loved the book based on the British Museum multi-media program based on a History of the World in 100 Objects. Following a somewhat-linear chronology of various "things" from the stories, the text presents their significance, with occasional commentary interspersed.

While it was hard to figure out the perspective of the narrator for the book, it was interesting to look at different objects from the films as if they were collector's items to someone in-universe who was trying to piece together the story of the Skywalker saga through objects alone.

More of a reference than a story book, this will appeal to a certain set of the SW fandom. Enjoyed the photos and all the background of the items. The book is divided into time period which also helped solidify things in the greater SW realm.

An interesting "in-universe" look at different objects from the movies/LF archives.
