Este es quizá el mejor y el peor libro que he leído de Clara.
Tiene una dicotomía de las importantes. En primer lugar, es lo mejor que ha escrito por dos cosas muy precisas; las protagonistas y el ambiente médico. Lo crea y lo expresa tan bien que por un momento olvidas que los personajes son solo ficción.
No obstante es lo peor por dos razones también; es un libro corto y en extremo repetitivo, hay párrafos completos que están escritos igual en diferentes partes del texto y eso ya para mí me resulta fastidioso, por último tiene un final tan soso que me cuesta hablar de él. Por qué. Bueno, desde un principio sabes en qué concluirá todo y eso iba muy bien hasta el último capítulo, a mi parecer estas mujeres conociendo ya su historia, merecían un cierre espléndido algo que las hiciera recordarlas con lágrimas en los ojos. Y que obtenemos, un capítulo inecesario, esa página y media que no comprendí si era para darle un impulso o era solo por generar un poco más de drama; fue terrible. Cómo dije, sabes de que va a ir todo desde la página 1, entonces para que crear tres o cuatro párrafos de nada...
En resumen, "Doctora Park" es un texto bueno, pudo dar para más? Yo no lo creo.
Se pudo haber hecho mucho mejor? Claro.
Lo recomendaría? Por supuesto. Clara tiene mucho talento a la hora de generar historias, el problema que yo veo es que suelen quizá escribirse con demasiada premura y eso dificulta la correcta ejecución de los textos.
Cómo nota final, solo agrego que esto es mi mera opinión y siempre va con el mayor de los respetos y la admiración al autor por atreverse a compartir un pedazo suyo...

Cute
Very cute book. No sex scenes, but otherwise it was good. There were some great emotional scenes, but in between those the writing could have been a little more focused on the relationships between the characters, such as Arya who had a great set up. The syntax was a little off or overly formal at some points, which made me think maybe English is a second language, but if so the author was very fluent, if not it was probably just a editing errors. But it actually worked fine being it was first person narration of a Korean American main character, and the syntax differences remindeded me strongly of text convesations I've had with a close friend who is Korean but fluent in English as a third language. I'm always impressed with people who master multiple languages.
Anyway, cute medical romance that isn't just a Grey's knock off (not that I won't eagerly read those too).

Just as a heads up…. IF YOU DO NOT WANT TO KNOW WHAT HAPPENS TO THE MAIN CHARACTERS DO NOT READ THE FORWARD!!!!! If I had know I was going to find out the ending before I ever started the first chapter I might not have read it. Overall, the relationship develops extremely fast and the I love yous we’re said in record time. After the forward ruining the end for me I would have at least liked a book two or an epilogue that did a better job flushing out the relationships. Oh and as someone in the medical profession…. This is not how things work in hospitals….

Es el primer libro que leo de la autora y se que tiene muchos más así que le daré una segunda oportunidad con "Agente Walker" pero aquí va mí reseña:
Al inicio me ponen un final triste y me lo dejan ahí,sin explicar más acaso a Dani le ha vuelto el cáncer o que?¿Quién se ha muerto?
Ese enamoramiento fue forzado ambas se "amaban" pero la autora no supo demostrarmelo y es como que se trato de tapar eso mediante el apoyo de Lauren a Dani en sus quimioterapias,ni siquiera así senti una conexión,nunca se sintió TENSIÓN.
Los personajes que si me gustaron fueron Arya y Sofi, gracias por salvar a Lauren de la estupidez que iba a hacer.
La "inteligencia" de Dani se fue al tacho cuando permitió que Lauren la operara.
Me agradó como la autora colocó su nombre en el libro.

Hermoso
Novela tras novela clara nos transporta cada vez a un nuevo lugar. Lo he disfrutado mucho leer esta novela. La historia de Daniela y Laura te deja ver que hay detrás de una carrera ambiciosa.

J'ai été extrêmement déçue de cette romance.
Au début, je trouvais le tout très prometteur. Le prologue m'en avait convaincue, car il était fort en émotion et en promesses. Mais je dois dire qu'au terme de ma lecture, je ne comprends absolument pas son utilité. Au contraire, je trouve qu'il gâche un peu le tout, car il nous donne des informations sur un futur lointain dont nous n'avons pas la moindre information dans l'épilogue.
Ensuite, je n'ai pas réussi à ressentir la moindre alchimie entre les protagonistes. C'était plat et beaucoup trop rapide. C'était tellement expéditif que je n'ai pas bien pu comprendre la psychologie des personnages.
La rapidité de l'histoire était très dérangeante. À tel point que l'on passe d'un point A à un point D, sans avoir pu saisir les éléments B et C. C'était très frustrant je dois bien l'admettre.
Un autre point qui m'a fort dérangée, c'est la traduction. Il y avait énormément de fautes au niveau de la traduction en elle-même, mais également au niveau des tournures de phrases, d'erreurs dans les prénoms, des oublis de mots et j'en passe.
Ce n'est pas commun pour moi de dire cela, mais je ne recommande pas cette lecture. À moins d'y voir une bonne correction de la traduction ou à minima de l'histoire en elle-même, c'est une perte de temps que de se plonger dans cette romance.

Tears are falling down my cheeks as I read this, and remember what I lived through and my partner did not.
This story by Clara Ann Simons hit really close to home for me. I was not a surgeon but a surgical P.A., My wife lost her fight with cancer after we retired but I knew so many that struggled like these characters. This was so well written with wonderful characters and reality based that I could not put it down. We are blessed many of us to not have to deal with some of the conditions that we read about in this book. Even if we do deal with them we are blessed if we can survive and live on for a few more good years. Yeah, this one was tough for me to read but I am so glad I did.

You need to admit it, love your lover or love your job!
Its not enough to be a good surgeon but it takes a special effort that somethings or someone will not wait for you. Daniela is a teacher and surgeon who comes to LA to treat her cancer and hopefully reunite with a former student. Who is dead set in becoming head surgeon or so she thought. Something has to happen and soon. One may lose her life and the other lose her sanity. What or who she choose? Enjoy!

Great Story and excellent read.
This was different compared to other medical stories. The main characters are, Araya,Daniels and Professor McKenna this was well worth reading as the story flowed from start to the end.
Clare Ann Simon's did an excellent job writing this looking forward to reading the next book.

Although it's a nice idea I find it had a few gap, and also some strange decisions made by the MCs which turned the book into "well it was OK, bc I already begun to read, but I wish I could have skipped this book from the series".

fantastic but not conclusive
This romance seems like it needs a sequel. It doesn’t go deep enough for the beginning ending. I needed more for this story to feel complete. I love the characters though!

Une romance qui aurait pu être vraiment super si ça avait été plus développé. Un très bon sujet, qui aurait pu être amené à être vraiment touchant mais ce n'est pas assez exploité ce qui fait que je n'ai pas ressenti grand chose concernant le sujet de la maladie ça ne m'a pas touché plus que ça c'est dommage le roman est beaucoup trop court. Ça reste mignon.
