TILLY - I drove two thousand miles to get to Lynx Lodge for my best friend’s wedding, and I still can’t outrun a streak of bad luck and rejection. Not to mention a broken heart. Ryan better think again. I don’t care if he’s swoony, blond, rugged, and talks to my dog. RYAN - My team just finished a shift fighting a nearby forest fire, and we’re sharing Lynx Lodge with a wedding party. But I draw the line at sharing my room. I swore off women a couple of years ago. Even so, the sight of Tilly in that sundress is tantalizing.
The sparks fly when Tilly and Ryan are thrown together in a hilarious mixup, but can the heat melt their stubborn hearts?
You can spend all summer at Lynx Lodge! Order the rest of the series now! A new book every two weeks starting in July.

Great first book of a new series. Everything about this book appealed to me. The plot and characters were well-written, making you feel like you are friends. Anne’s description of the location and the feelings between Tilly and Ryan were wonderful! This was a perfect cozy mystery with just the perfect amount of humor, mystery, intrigue, and adventure that will keep any reader completely engaged. I highly recommend the series.
I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Tilly is on her way to Lynx Lodge for the destination wedding of her best friend. Her companion is her dog Bruce. The trip was exhausting. When she arrives at the Lodge it's late and she gets the last room. Tilly is in for a shock! There is an man asleep in her bed. Talk about a mixup. Ryan is a smokejumper. He's part of a group of firefighters who are trying to contain a nearby blaze. Tilly and Ryan have both been betrayed romantically, but they find they have a powerful attraction. Can they put their pain behind them and give love a chance? I enjoyed this sweet romantic story. The setting is perfect, the characters are charming and the dialogue sparkles. Tilly is the perfect start to the Wedding at Lynx Lodge series. I wonder who's next to find love. I received a copy of this book which I voluntarily read and reviewed. My comments are my honest opinion.
Anne Louise's five-book summer series, 'Wedding at Lynx Lodge,' is a fun idea for hot-weather reading. Each book in the series is about one of five best friends who attend their friend's destination wedding. 'Tilly,' the first in the series, tells the story of Tilly, who's suffering from a recent break-up with her fiance and the loss of her job. She packs up her dog and makes a difficult two-thousand-mile drive to the event, only to find a stranger asleep in her room. When she's formally introduced to Ryan, a fire-jumper, the next morning, the attraction between them is instant but neither is confident that the other feels the same way. Will Tilly and Ryan learn to believe in each other? Will the burning forest reach the lodge and ruin the wedding? Will true love triumph? Read the book and find out!
Very enjoyable! While driving a few days to attend to her friends wedding, she gets some disturbing phone calls that puts her in a miserable mood, but she is determined to have a good time and doesn't want to put a damper on her friend's happy day ahead. To top that off, an unexpected surprise is waiting for her when she checks into the lodge. I love how she deals with it!
Thanks to the author for providing this book for my honest review!
Reasons I enjoyed this book: Happily Ever After Original Realistic Whimsical Easy-to-read Entertaining Romantic Funny Wonderful characters Page-turner Unpredictable Witty
This is a fun book to read. The chapters alternate between Tilly & Ryan. Tilly has driven 2,000 miles to be at her friends wedding at Lynx Lodge. Ryan, a forest fire fighter has been given a room at the Lodge & is dead to the world. Tilly is given her key & she & her dog get into the room & find Ryan there already! She’s not happy, wakes him up & then goes to sleep, Ryan does the same. Both have had bad experiences with “significant others” but, even against their own wishes, sparks begin to fly!
This is a light and extremely different book to Anne Shillolo’s usual style. If you have an hour to spare and are in the mood for an uplifting romantic story, with a cute dog, no downers and a happy ending then this is the story for you. As usual Anne’s descriptions of the beautiful Canadian countryside are incomparable.
There are to be another four books in the series coming out within two weeks of each other and I am really looking forward to following Tilly and her friends in their romantic adventures.
This is a great start to the five-part destination wedding series with clean and wholesome rom-com novellas, no cliffhangers, relatable characters you feel like you could know, leaves a smile on your face and joy in your heart and I loved every minute of Tilly who comes to Lynx Lodge for her best friend's wedding and meets swoony smokejumper Ryan - there was immediate attraction and undeniable chemistry. Can't wait to read the rest of this series.
Tilly drives across the country for her friend's wedding, while her life rapidly unravels. Ryan has thrown himself into his job as a fire fighter to overcome betrayal. Two people sworn off love. Can they heal each other? This is the first in a series of sweet clean summer romance stories. It does exactly what it says on the can. A quick, easy, fun read. And there's a dog! What's not to like?
This is a sweet, romantic novella of love at first site and happily ever after. A quick read, Ryan and Tilly meet unexpectedly and find that this is very different from what they had with their ex's. A quick read and a feel good story that leaves you smiling and ready to read the next installment.
She has traveled a long way to get to her friend wedding and it seems all she has had is bad luck. Now it seems it is about to get worse when she finds she is sharing a room with a man. He is not happy at the mistake but it seems fate may have other ideas. How is it all going to go? Follow them to see what happens with them
Betrayal, disappointment, and heartache gripped her as Tilley made her way to the Canadian Rockies to be best maid at her friend's wedding. Life had dealt her a nasty blow. She had no idea where to turn. Read this beautiful, clean story to follow the upcoming events. Share in her grief, her heartache, her joys, and uncertainties. You'll be glad you did.
A delightful and charming romance. Loved the handling of the initial meeting. Great attitude. Adorable dog too. Unusual back stories. Fun page turner. I look forward to reading Molly’s story.
This is a sweet quick romance that includes a loveable dog.
A woman travels miles to a wedding not expecting to find love. She meets a handsome guy who talks to her dog as he sweeps her off her feet.\ It is a feel good romance that will have you yearning for more.
Wedding at Lynx Lodge novellas: Tilly, #1 - Sweet with good humor, fun friends and good story lines. The only complaint: Tilly following the "Head Game" instead of talking things out with others or Ryan. 4*
Molly, #2 - Cute and sweet. A nice getaway for an hour with a cuppa and a fur baby. It is Molly and Rocky's turn to be highlighted. Rustic is not her thing and she has a few frights waiting for her. Rocky can handle rustic or Toronto, which is Molly's choice when a beach isn't available. I kept looking for Betty to make another appearance. 4*
Sage, #3 - Another lovely, sweet addition to the series, BUT Sage has problems. She always went negative and nasty, even Jonny had already proven himself. But the story ended well. I would have thrown her of the mountain, but she did right in the end. 4*
Zoey, #4 - A quick, fun read with Zoey and Nick. Good characters. Good story lines. Well written. Entertaining. 4* Wedding at Lynx Lodge novellas end.
Tilly needed something or someone in her life and along came Ryan. She gets a little more than she bargains for but eventually they find each other. Great characters and awesome story. I loved it!
A sweet, romantic story set at the Lynx Lodge. Friends line up for a wedding at the Lodge and return with so much more. This novella is a quick read. Not my usual genre but loved it.
A delightful storyline with captivating characters that is entertaining and an enjoyable read any time. A new author t Hat I.look forward to following.
Just as promised this is a sweet and clean romance. I’m very grateful for that thank you. I like the storyline and the characters. The author could’ve taken a little bit more time to develop the relationship between the two characters so it felt like a short story. I’m looking forward to reading the next book.
