Emigrant Wilderness is located North of Yosemite National Park. Numerus hiking trails, lakes and rivers make the area one of the most frequently visited by backpackers and trout fishers during Spring and Summer. In The winters, with plenty snow, makes it a most attractive area for snow camping and backcountry skiing. Permits are required, and this map contains information and phone numbers to facilitate gathering information. Scale 1:63,360 or 1 inch representing One mile. Contour intervals 80 feet of elevation change.
