This was a favorite of my kids growing up esp. my daughter. Now my grandchildren are enjoying it during story time too. The book is cute with lots of vibrant illustrations. It is really good to help with learning the colors.
This is a cute book all about Elmo from Sesame Street. He tells us all about himself, and his favorite things. It is a very colorful and simple book and when I read it to my students we will discuss the different things Elmo shares with us.
It is a good book. In this book you get to learn about Elmo. You get to meet his friends and get to know what his favorite color is. Elmo can do a cool trick which is bending over. When Elmo bends over everything is up side down. Elmo loves to meet knew people.
The creation of Elmo was an act of brilliance. Children love his playful, curious, and engaging character. He talks directly to small children in so many ways. First of all directly, but also in just who he is as another child navigating his way of learning through the world. This book is engaging and fun for the littles and talks about all the things that children love and relate to. It is so comforting to enjoy a story with the characters from Sesame Street, especially from Elmo's perspective.
This Little Golden Book introduces the readers to Sesame Street character Elmo and his favorite things. The book invites the reader to interact with some pages and sets up conceptual exploration around colors and numbers.
I did not like the book, because I am 14 and not a kid. Like all the little books I would read this to my little brother. I am sure he will like it but I don't because I am not 4 or 5.
Very disjointed train of thought. Almost like flight of ideas. The pages are not connected and there is no cohesive plot. I think Elmo has ADHD or maybe even mania.
Synopsis:"It's all about Elmo—as told by the little red Muppet himself—in this charmingly illustrated Sesame Street Little Golden Book. Boys and girls ages 1–4 will delight in hearing all about Elmo's favorite things—which are the same as every toddler's!"
My Review: This is a great little book to get to know Elmo better. Being one of Munchkin's favorite Sesame Street characters, this book really appealed to him and kept him engaged as we read about Elmo's favorite things. Munchkin would get very excited when he found something that was his favorite too. Definitely a great book for little Sesame Street and Elmo fans.
This is one of illustrated Sesame Street storybooks published by Golden Books that my daughter absolutely loved when she was little. This particular book has Elmo walking around his neighborhood, introducing the reader to all of his Sesame Street friends and talking about all his favorite fun activities. With richly colored illustrations and simple language, this book is excellent for introducing a very young Elmo fan to reading!
LOVE ELMO. What a trickster he is. He has those big, beautiful lidless eyes, that lovely orange button nose, and that silky poppy-red hair. Combine these features with that impish grin and his playful personality and you have one heck of a book! Who needs TV when you can bring Elmo to life in your living room?
I am never a fan of speaking in 3rd person like Elmo does in this story but it is cute and the younger kids love the predictable story line and the recognizable characters.
Hard not to hear Elmo's voice and copy his mannerisms as you Read this book. Very much in his style of speaking/thinking and invites interaction with the child as well.
