Deadly Vines by Jenna St. James may be the 12th book in the Witch In The Woods series but it was as fresh and new as the first book in this series. Ms. St.James has written believable and relatable characters and a paranormal setting that makes me want to move there even if I'm not a paranormal. The mystery and action kept me turning the pages and the dramatic finale was a perfect example of a team work. I'm already looking forward to the next one in the series.

Deadly Vines is Book 12 in the Witch in the Woods series by Jenna St. James.

I am highly addicted to this series and this book was so fantastic.

The paranormal characters are so well developed, and the world building is really excellent.

There is someone out to get the Witches in town and Shayla and the Sherriff on top of it, and this hits home for a close family member of Shayla's (no spoilers) !!!

The mystery is excellent and well thought out with wonderful characters.

Equally as fantastic are the personal relationships and the bonds and romances that I have come to absolutely LOVE so much.

12 books in and it feels as fresh and unique as the first book! HIGHLY RECOMEND!

Good

It’s time for Shayla to investigate the mysterious tracks being left on Enchanted Island, especially after Gigi’s best friend is killed by whatever left them behind.
And when it appears that Gigi might be a target, the whole crew has to work together to find the culprit.

Another enjoyable addition to the Witch in the Woods series, with lots of action going on. Although the blurb says Zoey is having issues, that actually didn’t happen, neither did any wedding planning go on. Instead most of the issues surrounded Gigi, and a few involved Serena.
Don’t worry though, it’s an entertaining read, with the mystery quickly resolved by the end.

Recommended for paranormal mystery lovers.

This is book 12 in the series and usually series start to drag after awhile. Definitely NOT this one. So much suspense had me reading non-stop and at the edge of my seat. This series just keeps moving forward and getting better and better. The characters are all wonderful and it’s like visiting with old friends. Such a magical setting and wonderful to see all of the characters bring their magical abilities together. Love the progression on the personal fronts as well. And you can’t beat a visit from characters from another series. Can’t wait for the next book in this fantastic series!

Loved!

After Serena reveals that she's pregnant everyone is excited for the newest edition to the witch family.

But when GiGi's best friend from childhood, another strong witch, is killed by a mysterious hybrid plant, the Island residents are worried. A foe from GiGi's past has come to the island 70 years later to exact revenge on a few witches, including GiGi.

Shayla, Needles, and Alex won't let anyone hurt their families, especially when the Black Forest King finds out the Island has a dangerous witch roaming around.

A must read!

Well, the happenings on the island not only solve past happenings, but, the new trouble to the island even have the black forest king baffled. But, with the help of all creatures right down to the the fireflies, even needles and Shaylas' family and friends, they stand strong and solve the mystery! With a baby on the way and a marriage, I suggest you don't miss the next adventure.

Good read

Book 12 has loads of humor, mystery, murders, danger (man eating plants), and a little romance. It also has witches, gargoyles, faeries, wolf shifters, and, best of all, a flying, talking porcupine named Needles. The author keeps you guessing and holds your attention. Highly recommend.

Not to be redundant, but another exciting adventure!

These books are all so exciting, magical and interesting. All of the different characters, creatures, situations, etc are always enchanting. That Gigi is a firecracker and so funny. I really enjoy Ms St. James's ideas about magical creatures. She has a vivid imagination which makes for a fun escape.

Deadly plants

Loved all the teamwork to take down a psycho witch bent on murder and mayhem. Seeing Shayla discover just what she's capable of was fun. This was another read full of twists and turns to keep me guessing.

Heartwarming in the face of danger

These books are all too short and filled with so much intrigue and character development. Love seeing how everyone is growing into one large magical family. Look forward to the journey continuing.

A flying porcupine. I've said this many times before but you can't go wrong with a book featuring a flying porcupine. All of the characters are so cute. I love the premise that a really large tree is Shayla's father, with the flying porcupine as Shayla's bodyguard.

Another fun addition to the series. This group of characters continue to be interesting and developing with each book. This one focuses a little more on GiGi and the family than Shayla, but the mystery is as good as in previous books.

Loving these characters more and more

Great storyline with a nice twist. There were laughs as well as high drama. I do hope one day Shadow brings the fireflies their nectar, as they are just too cute. Loving this series so much, wishing it never ends.

This one scared me a bit. When plant life is animated to kill, Shayla and Alex must fight like never before to keep themselves safe and the residents of Enchanted Island. Shayla’s gifts from her father are once again used to save herself and others.

Enjoying this lighthearted paranormal mystery series.

Quite amusing that they go to great lengths in the books to explain that Needles is NOT a hedgehog, but apparently this hasn't got through to the cover artist....

I really enjoyed this little book. There's someone or something killing people in the woods and because two of the victims are life-long friends of Shayla's grandmother, Gigi, this one is personal!
