Three kids. Two women. One job.

Spoiled heiress Hadley Rains has never committed to a thing in her life. Until her father cuts off her allowance and she's left with a point to prove.

Professional nanny Florence Underwood has problems of her own. Her old-fashioned methods are out of style, and she's swimming in debt.

Enter the McLeod-Allen kids. Feisty, troubled, and reeling from the divorce of their parents, the kids need a nanny. But they end up with two.

When stern disciplinarian meets flighty brat, things really shouldn't go well. And they don't. Until a mysterious disappearance draws the two together.

Only true opposites can create a perfect balance, but can either one of them realize what they have before it's too late?

Loved it!

Could these two be any more different? One is old fashioned, with strict rules and no fun at all. The other is easygoing, a little bit spoiled and carefree. Put these two with very different views and three kids together and you get a lot of challenges. I loved the storyline, the characters and it was a great pleasure to read. Highly recommended!

I don’t think two characters could be more different than these two. While Florence (just don’t call her Flo 😆) is strict, stuck-up, serious and doesn’t have fun, Hadley is totally her opposite. Most of all she loves to have fun. They also come from total different families. Florence always had to work hard and struggles to pay her bills. Hadley comes from a rich family and never really had to work.

When Hadley‘s father cuts her off, she has to find a job. And what could be better than looking after 3 kids for 2 months. How hard could it be? LOL
That there is another nanny in Florence who does everything just the opposite way, definitely wasn’t the plan.

For us readers this means lots of fun. Their disagreeing about everything and their bickering made me laugh out loud many times. But there is one thing they have in common and that’s great chemistry. Even if Florence doesn’t really understand at first what that means.

When they have to work together and compromise on things, they also start to see each other in a different light. I loved these scenes and I have to say that Hadley actually surprised me. I honestly thought at first that she is quite spoiled, but what we get to see is a caring and kind young woman. She definitely has her heart in the right place. One of her talks with Henry was so very sweet, that a huge aww left my mouth. 😍

Florence on the other hand struggles to get through to Henry. They clash probably because they have one thing in common that is so important, the need to be loved. Flo (I‘m just going to call her this way from now on and know she would secretly love it… 😆) is just adorable then besides her being way too serious, she is also totally clueless and insecure about many things. I just wanted to give them both a hug several times (even if they probably would have refused ☺️).

I believe the saying opposites attract is the perfect way to describe this story. It‘s often our total opposite that completes and fulfills us. Just like these two do. And when I thought I couldn’t love the story more we arrived at the epilogue and I got even happier. It was the perfect ending to another great book by Sienna Waters. An author who improves with every story and that makes me so happy. And well thanks to her I will definitely see every refrigerator in a different light from now on. If you wanna know why, read the book. 😆

Ms. Waters has written another beautifully layered romance with main characters that deftly hooked and drew me in.
Enter Florence/Flo, straitlaced career nanny who operates with rules and a no nonsense approach. Her adult life influenced by her chaotic upbringing - she lives from job to job. Hadley, on the other hand has no restrictions, comes from a rich background with a monthly allowance and flits about without a care. Cut loose by her father, she needs to learn responsibility and find employment.
Two nannies - one job! When the two meet then disagree on how to best look after their three charges, everything Flo knows goes up in the air - Hadley has a loose fun loving style of handling things. Henry, Charlie and Emily are the three children pulled every which way by divorced parents, trying to have an enjoyable summer and not deal with parental turmoil.
A slow build romance with a few twists, sage advice from the coffee shop owner, some teary moments, eventual life changing realization and a HEA.
Highly recommend and on my re-read shelf.

I rec'd a copy through Booksprout and this is a completely voluntary and unbiased review.

Sienna Waters always gets it right. I loved the characters, the little kids and the big kids. I loved the unraveling of the lives of the 'two nannies', learning why they were the way they were. I loved sharing their special moments until they reached their happy ending. Two very different characters find their common ground. Well worth reading.

Although the story wasn’t awful, it didn’t quite hit the mark for me. The characters and plot felt shallow and underdeveloped.

I highly enjoyed reading this. The story-line is very unusual, but the most inventive for an opposites attract theme I have read so far.
There are Florence and Hadley, for a start, and their differences made for a fun read from the beginning. Yes, it was Hadley whom I liked from, the start, but the more Henry, Charlie and Emily (the children to look after) came into play, the more Florence got interesting, too, for Hadley as well as me, the reader.

As I said before, the plot is very clever. The romance is slow and sweet, and both, Hadley and Florence are cute in their own way, as they struggle with the surprising chemistry between them and the needs of the troubled children handed into their care. The character development is great and and what moves the story along. It was exactly what I needed to read to cheer me up amidst a world certainly going bonkers all around me.

Florence is a by the book nanny keeping to schedules and making sure she is in control. Hadley is lacking direction in her life and her father decides to try the tough love approach and tells her to get a job. Due to a pair of at odds divorced parents the two end up co-nannying 3 young children. The children as well as the nannies need more balance in their lives. This is a touching story and the two manage to really care for the children as well as trying to understand each other. Although they come from very different backgrounds something is drawing them together.

Sienna Waters is honestly one of my favourite authors 😊

Loved this book, loved the characters- especially Florence ❤️ loved all the interactions with the kids, my heart broke for them, especially Henry ☹️ loved watching Hadley and Florence bring happiness back into the family home.

Another wonderful read from Ms Waters. As in her previous books this is well written, with an interesting storyline and a HEA. Hadley’s father has cut off her allowance and she needs a job fast. At her gym she gets talking to a mum who needs a babysitter for 2 months quickly, Hadley gets the job. Meanwhile Florence has just finished her latest nanny job and also needs a job. She gets employed to babysit the same children by the dad. Once Hadley and Florence work out what’s happened they eventually decide to share the baby sitting duties; with interesting results! A Great book with minimal aghast.

Two nannies, two parenting styles, two warring parents, two lives that inevitably become one. Getting to know the the little kids and reading their antics and how the Nannie's maneuvered around the displays of childhood angst was enjoyable. Watching the two MC's get their heads unstuck from the clouds and be able to see one another more clearly as the story unfolds, even better. It was an organic story- nothing pushed, nothing so outrageous that it wasn't believable. It was effortless to get lost in their mountain home and the epilogue? Sigh... all those happy squishy feels and so much more love to be dreamed about. Completely enamored. This author always brings the best to the table and it's a delight to runaway into the little towns and the big lives that fill the pages.

I am always super excited for new Sienna Waters book because I always related to the characters in some ways. Hadley and Florence are totally different but truly a match made in heaven. This novel made me laugh, cry, sigh in happiness and maybe blush in some fluff parts as if I was in that moment as well. Finished this in one sitting too! Another read and characters that I will always think of fondly.

Kind of an opposites attract situation, but not in the typical played-out way. These characters are all so pure and real that you will feel for them and want things to work out for them. Unexpected situations with unique outcomes. Loved it <3

Like candy

I wasn't sure about the narration style at first, but it quickly grew on me and I read it all in one sitting! It was cute and fluffy and light and super sweet. Like a box of Peeps. You think, this is adorable, and delicious, but I should just have one...then you've eaten them all and you're pretty sure you've given yourself new cavities yet you're oddly satisfied.

Granted, I read this just after buying up post-Easter discount candy. I should probably brush my teeth and read a peer reviewed study as a pallet cleanser but instead I'll probably just opt for more fluff.

This was a lovely book that. centred on finding courage in yourself to unlock the chains that bind you despite knowing you hold the keys.
The kids as always make or break a book and all 3 were super cute and totally justified in their different reactions and behaviours to their parents divorce.
Flo and Hadley were hilarious together and balanced each other perfectly. Another great book from Sienna.

• Watching Henry
• Author Sienna Waters
• MC Hadley Rains & Florence Underwood

Florence Underwood went to school to be a professional
Nanny. She’s 28 and is old school when it comes to children’s academic and discipline.

Hadley is blowing in the wind. She comes from a well off family. Her father still gives her an allowance.
Hadley’s dad decides that it’s time to stop being lackadaisical, and cuts her off financially. Time to get a job Hadley.

A divorced couple, who will both be gone during the summer, each hire a nanny. They send Florence and Hadley with the three children to their vacation home in the mountains. Florence and Hadley are very different when it comes to tending to the children.
As summer goes on, they realize and appreciate what the other person brings to the table.
There are some twist and turns in this story. But you will enjoy watching them workout their differences and fight for a chance at love.

I did enjoy Watching Henry and I highly recommend this book.
The Author wrote a sweet story.

Its very good in a cutesy heart feeling way. Opposite attraction is one of my fav elements in a romance novel. You have one stoic miss perfect and one frivolous ( she changed ) laid back that have great chemistry tgt. 2 nannies working tgt and falling in love who would thought . Would say one expect i dont fancy much is probably the cliche part. Their attraction feels a bit too fast paced but it was handled very well. Oh also the mom also gay like okay… i do feel a bit cringe with some of the dialogues but its still cute.😭. Writing is solid 7/10. I was hoping for florence to be the one reaching up instead of Hadley ngl

A Refreshing Nanny Live Story!

I am a big fan if Sienna Waters. I enjoy the nanny stories and this one did not disappoint. It had a much different approach on the nanny subjects and I was excited to read it. The chemistry between Hadley and Florence was funny and interesting. Add in the three children who each had their own twist to the story and this made for a sweet romance. I loved how it went full circle with Ariel and Maeve. Then you have the coffee shop with Eleanor and her input. A sweet balance all around.

another awesome Sienna Waters book!

The little twists and turns that this book took were so surprising and so much fun to read. Sienna Waters has the perfect amount of angst (really, very little) in her books, and they’re always such an adventure!

Hadley and Florence are complete opposites but come together each with their own quirkiness. Hadley's love for life and Florence's very prim and proper attitude make them so perfect together. Loved this story.
