My Word this is awesome! At the beginning, the manga was so good because of the whole idea of gantz and the death matches and the scoring and the resurrection of people. But now? The manga evolved into an amazing story, a mind dazzling story. Its insanely beautiful, i am so pumped up right now even so i am way past my sleeping time. And i am heading right into the next volume! can't wait to see what is going to happen.

Synopsis: Gantz tells the story of a teenager named Kei Kurono, among others, who die but find themselves brought back in perfectly healthy bodies and forced to participate in a "game" where they must hunt down and kill aliens.
Review: I almost gave up on Gantz several times, but now that I've read it all the way to the end, I'm glad I stuck with it. The beginning is dragged down by repulsive and unlikable characters, a messily paced story, unnecessary sexualization and gratuitous violence without much substance. As it progresses, however, the character development becomes pretty incredible and the growing threat of the enemies feels truly well done. Once the real enemies are revealed, it's mind-blowing how the series had been secretly foreshadowing their arrival from the very beginning.
Although it takes a while, some really good characters are introduced later on in the series and they're the ones that made me want to read to the end. Some characters that were absolutely unbearable in the beginning became polar opposites of their original selves and even made me sympathize with them quite a bit. The protagonist Kei for example, I hated him with all my heart for the first third of the series, he became progressively more likable in the second third of the story and then he evolved into one of the most memorable, unlikely heroes I've ever seen in this storytelling medium throughout the final third. The last third of the series is unbelievably terrifying with some of the most gruesome and disgusting battle/survival scenes in the history of fiction. It's much more bearable and intense in the final third because this time the violence and horror is happening to people we actually care about instead of a bunch of unlikable nobodies.
The final third of the story is what made me feel so glad that I didn't give up on this series. It had me on the edge of my seat more times than I can recall. There are a ton of chapters but they're very short and full of action which makes the series a quick read despite having almost 400 chapters. So even though the first third of the story was kinda bad in my opinion, it doesn't last for long and the payoff that comes after it's over truly impressed me. It's a flawed, thrilling and horrifying action series that takes a while to kick off. When it finally kicks off, however, it kicks off extremely hard.
Even though the fight was tough, they were brought back during the middle of the fight. Gantz ball has 'End' in it, so this will be their last game?
Old man died in the fight and Reika got 100 points. She tried to revive him but Gantz ball malfunctioned. When everyone got out the Gantz room, Reika went again for her clothes and saw Gantz man coming out and standing. He asked her again, then she brought back KEI! WTF REIKA?!
We got to know the truth behind Gantz! A German person's daughter is retarded but saying some numbers in an encoded pattern. Finally they decoded and that helped the German man build his business and also to the creation of Gantz balls.
The person (Sebastian) who met our Japanese Gantz researcher in Germany, is he a god or something? He caused a plane crash into a building! 💀
The end of the world begins with America's destruction.

Gantz is a large black metal ball that transmits a team of recently deceased people in black shiny tight outfits to locations to fight groups of aliens. At the conclusion of the battles, they are transmitted back to their lives. After the battles, they are graded based on their fighting and can score points. When they reach 100 points they can return to their old lives, get better weapons for the Gantz fights or resurrect others that were killed in the battles. In this latest edition of Gantz, the team returns to find after they have lost several members and that the battles with the aliens is over. That's when it gets weird.
Oh wow, I like how is turning out! As the mission abruptly ends, and things seem to settle down into the end-of-mission routine, except, it's not the end, it's the beginning of something else, on a global scale. And one huge twist at the end that I certainly hadn't expected. Kurono, is this some sort of private fantasy of it being a solution to love triangles. Oh, that's hilarious.
Characters I absolutely started hating in a few pages: Reika and OG Kurono (like wtf both of you). All of Kurono's development and all he did for Tae. It feels such a low and dirty thing to do with the story. I'm currently quite mad at the author lol and my excitment to continue reading has dropped so much. Wtf was that for honestly, that's horrible.
All female characters here suck, but Jesus Reika sucks so much ass... She's on the same level as that short hair girl from the first volumes. Also I feel like the art has gotten worse? Like the 3d models are very obvious and don't blend that well, which wasn't true for previous volumes.
