December 25, 2022A well-woven tale
Part 2 of the "Hearts of Olympika" series picks up right after the end of "Ocean," this time from the point of view of Kyros' missing brother. The friend he makes in captivity helps him escape, and... well, I won't spoil it for you. It's certainly as good as its predecessor, and a worthy tale in its own right.

This was such an interesting version of the story of Arachne, and learning more about this version of the goddess of the sea is also crazy. She is something else, cruel, selfish, and rather sexually frustrated apparently!
The romance between Dexios and Ara was incredibly sweet and I ached for them during most of the story for whatever kept them apart at that time. It was so beautiful when they each individually let go of what held them back from their dreams and simply went for it.

The story grabs your attention and imagination from the start. It is full of drama, excitement , chaos, and scary mythological creatures. There is fear, anger, desperation, sadness, but also laughter, joy, love, and heat! ( The one scene made me cry in relief!)
Dex and Ara' s journey leads them on a course fraught with peril as they try to defy a goddess's will. Their struggle leads them to look deep and reevaluate how they see themselves, believe in themselves.
But do the Fates have even more in store for them.
A riveting tale I couldn't put down til I finished.

This book took a while to snag my attention,
When I finally settled down to earnestly read this story without stopping, it was like someone had snatched my attention away from everything else. Now I finally know the name of the next book in this story series and I can’t wait for it to come out! I hope it’s soon!!

This mythical tale is intriguing and jumps right off of the pages with the craftiness of the author. It is filled with exciting twists and turns that draws you in and have your emotions all over the place. Dex and Ara had me in their corner cheering them on to finally getting a chance for happiness! I am volunteering to leave a review for an ARC of this book.
