Montana.
Haley and her son Noah leave Detroit heading for a new life…she just not sure where that might be. She heads to Portland Oregon but is caught in a snow storm in Montana. Noah has to use the restroom and it’s getting so bad she can hardly see. She stops a t a resort and they have dinner while there all the road close. It’s a nice place but they cut the price. She gets a job helping with banquets makes good money they let her stay longer. While there she meets Ryder a cowboy that just came home to help his mom while she was in a cast. He gets the idea to have Haley help at there ranch to make things easier on his mom, so she dose. She teaches Noah to ride and has him help with chores. She loves the attention he gives Noah. She’d just been hurt by a guy and they showed him no attention. Ryder teaches Haley to ride they take rides up the mountain and spend time together they began to form a relationship. Hayle is working a banquet and sees Ryder taking to a women. She over reacts and packs up and leaves for Portland. Ryder goes after her they stay at a hotel that has a pool for Noah. He tells them he loves them and wants them to come home. They go back, he asked her to marry him. But first asks Noah if he can.

Haley leaves Michigan with her 4-year-old son. She lost everything she thought she had there and is headed to the West coast to stay with her only remaining relative. They get stuck in a snowstorm in Montana and ends up staying at a lodge in Pine Meadow until the weather improves. The owner is short of help because of the storm and lets her work off the cost of the room. Ryder is back in town to help his injured mother with her ranch. He helps arrange childcare for the little boy with the help of his sister. Neither of them is looking for a relationship, but stuff happens! A highlight was the adorable little boy and his tiny kitten. I am looking forward to book 2 and revisiting Pine Meadow.

Contemporary western about a young mother and her son, disavowed by her family, seeks a new beginning after being discharged from her job in Michigan. Heading to Portland to visit a cousin, she gets snowed in in the Montana Pines area, meeting up with Ryder who returned home to his family's ranch in a time of need. After being offered a job to assist his mother, Ryder and Haley come to know one another despite her lack of trust with men. An entertaining story that many can relate to, however, I feel it could be enhanced by more inferences towards sexual activity rather than specifics broadening the readership.

Jill Haymaker always delivers quality books and this is no exception. Family, whether by blood or choice, is always important in her stories and is well-told in this book. The characters drive the story line with growth and maturity, even when they slip back into old habits...which is sometimes frustrating to read. All is well when Ryder follows Haley and clears up the confusion, even as she is questioning her knee-jerk reaction. A HEA is a for-sure conclusion for this couple who didn't realize they were looking for each other. Highly Recommend!

great book!

I had never read anything by Jill Haymaker before but now I can’t wait to read the rest of her books! She is a very talented author. This book was so wonderful! It had everything you want in a good western romance without the bad things some authors feel they need to add. I couldn’t put it down until I finished the last page. It was that good and the end was so romantic. I highly recommend this book! I can’t wait to read the next book in this series.

Finding Your Way Home.

Haley has had a rough life after graduating and getting pregnant, her parents disowned her, and everyone she trusted was never there for her. She left Detroit and was moving to Oregon to try and start fresh. On her way she got caught
in a snow storm and met Ryder, a cowboy with a ranch. Now what will she do, because she Loves this town and people especially Ryder and his family. This is a really sweet romance.

This book had it all: a great location, charming secondary characters, a strong H, a loving and responsible h and a cherub that steals the show. Their romance builds slowly, each gets to know the other though admittedly the h has trouble learning to trust the H...until she does. The story is well written.

Has it all!

Montana Pines Winter Romance has it all - likeable characters, starting over, romance, a setback before a happily ever after ending, and horses on a ranch! I'm glad this is a series because I'd like to know how Haley and Ryder are doing.

Very enjoyable sweet, minimum-angst winter romance with lots of Montana winter atmosphere and a cute kid. I appreciated how both characters showed self-restraint by holding off on intimacy until the time was right.

Great love story

This is such a sweet story. It's not often I read about the strong hero showing so much emotion. Haley is a mature young woman who could hold her own with Ryder. Together with Noah they have the perfect start to their future.

Finding home

This was a nice PG romance of a young mother stranded in a small Montana town during vs snowstorm. The roads were snowed shut so he turned into the inn to wait for the plows. He sure didn't think he'd meet the love of his life in all this snow. It's a great read.

This was a sweet story about single mom Haley and Noah (her son) finding a home and love in Montana with Ryder on his ranch. The only real issue I had with it was that sometimes the writing felt stilted and over-explained. Like I said, sweet story with a nice HEA.

You can almost see the mountains and smell the pine scent.

Life can flip and change on a moment's notice. You can feel desperation and unease as that happens to this woman. Reading this story takes you through the ups and downs. Very good reading.
