With all Vic’s health issues, he needs a soft man and a quiet life. Olek can give him that, except he’s also a ruthless killer.

When a medical condition changed Vic’s life forever, he resigned himself to never finding love. He settled in to spending his life as his brother’s charity case. He tries to do what he can so he isn’t a burden, but it’s hard to watch life go on without him. Then Olek stepped into his life and lit a fire inside Vic. For the first time, Vic sees hope for the future. But Olek is dangerous, and Vic’s future with him might be a short one.

Olek came to America to seize the American dream. He’s accomplished everything he wanted and more. Unfortunately, love has always eluded him. After all, who could love a monster like him? Then a sweet and gentle man welcomes him into his life. Nothing is the same. He wants to give Vic everything. No matter how honest Olek is, Vic refuses to see him as a bad person. That leaves only one big problem standing in their way. Vic’s brother is marrying Olek’s son, and Olek’s son has no problem seeing Olek for the monster he is. It’s only a matter of time before everyone learns of their secret relationship and then everything might fall apart.

Ensnared is the seventh book in Charity Parkerson’s Kings of the East series where assassins, crime lords, and mafia bosses run the world. These titles are best enjoyed when read in order.

This was book 7 in the "Kings of the East" We first met both of these characters in the last book Vic is Major's brother and Olek is Ransom's father. These two began secretly dating after Olek came to talk to Major. Vic has some health problem he has a weak heart that leaves him unable to work Vic has been living with his brother and he feels that no one sees him he was sweet and caring and I wanted to give him a hug. Olek is an arms dealer who is powerful and dangerous only second to Zander. When Olek meets Vic, he can't believe how taken he is with him. Vic has always put others before himself, so he doesn't want to upset Ransom as he and Olek rekindle their father and son relationship. Turns out Ransom is not the one who gets upset it's Major and Vic lets him have it. I really liked this book both of these characters were meant for each other. Vic knew what he was getting into when he started dating Olek, but he didn't care because he wants to be loved. Olek wants someone who isn't into playing games and doesn't want him for his money Vic makes him want to be a better person. When Vic is kidnapped Olek will do anything to get him back and he does but he doesn't handle the aftermath right and Vic's heart gives out and he refuses the surgery to give him a pacemaker. This book was well written with no errors in grammar or spelling. I am looking forward to reading the next book in this series.

Alright! Alright! So I cried a little🥲 O.K?
These two grown up idiots were charming and the whole health scare got me. Could it have been better? Yes, but that doesn't mean it wasn't good❣️
I'll give it to Charity Parkerson, her imagination follows no set formula and each story is its own. Always surprising in the most delightful ways.
*Series to be read in order or else you miss a lot‼️

Vic's life was changed forever when he was diagnosed with a medical condition and so he resigned himself to never finding love. So he lives as his brother's charity case and tries to do what he can to not be a burden although he finds it hard to watch life going on around him. The Olek stepped into his life and although he is dangerous he lit a fire and a hope for a future with love. Olek came to the US to take advantage of the American dream and accomplished everything he wanted. However, love had eluded him because no one could love a monster like him. Then sweet gentle Vic welcomes him into his life and nothing is the same. He wants to give Vic everything but Vic refuses to see Olek as a bad person. The problem now is that Vic's brother Major is marrying Olek's son Ransom and when they learn about their relationship everything might fall apart.

I loved this emotional story with Vic's illness, Olek's business and the family connections. I loved the way that Vic was finally listened to and that someone was taking notice of him. When Olek made his stupid mistake was upsetting but when Vic was very ill it was worthy of lots of tears. I was thrilled when everything got back to normal and that he was finally where he belonged with someone who worshipped him. Easy to read, feel and understand you will need some tissues. This was an MM story with mature content.

Such a sweet story

I was looking forward to Vic and Olek’s book. Something about Vic just got to me. He seemed so vulnerable and I loved that Olek just seemed to get him.

From the moment we met these two characters, they just seemed to fit. Olek, while being in a pretty rough and dangerous profession, seems so calm and that’s exactly what Vic needs in his life. The fact that Vic has spent so much of his life feeling unseen was heartbreaking. I was cheering him on when he was having it out with Major.

There’s definitely an angsty moment or two, but it’s all worth it in the end when we get our sweet HEA. Olek and Vic have been two of my favorites so far in this series.

Eh

Eh, it was ok. Maybe it would have been better had I read the first few books in the series, although I've tried to and couldn't get thru them. It's the authors writing style for me, it always reads like a draft and not the actual finished product. I'm hoping as the books continue the writing style will get better. The second half of this one did so I was actually able to get all the way thru it. But I felt like Olek and Vics start of their relationship was totally skimmed over, so I didn't really feel the connection between the two until the later part of the book.

Oh My Hot

Vic feels unseen due to his illness who is the brother to Roman. Then you have Olek who is a gun running mobster who is the father of Ransom. The twist is Roman and Ransom is getting married. There is age gap, mobster, FBI agent, and a kidnapping. What more could you want in a book. Exciting.

Great as always

I love anything by Charity Parkerson. Although this may be my least favorite of her books it's still a great book. I'm excited for Jaksa and Deon's book next.

DNF I’ve tried twice to read this one. I find the MCs relationship clichéd and the writing, too. I feel like I’m being written down to. This series has delivered with good characters and writing. I’m just not connecting with this one.
