I’ve had a crush on him for years, but he’s my brother’s best friend … and my ob-gyn. He says we can’t date because he is my doctor—and because we’re totally incompatible. He, the steady, protective bear raising his daughter on his own. Me, the flaky panther. But when I go in for a check-up, his hands linger … our lips meet … and we go too far.
I tried to fight my attraction for him, but this single daddy is just irresistible. If only I stopped doing and saying the wrong thing when he’s there. Despite my best attempts to embarrass myself, the spark we share is undeniable. But circumstances are against us … and I’m worried he won’t give us a chance.
We both knew it was a bad idea for me to become his patient, let alone kiss in his clinic. We really should stop looking at each other like that and just be friends. We shake on it … our eyes fixated … our touch dragging out … All the while feeling the flames burning us up inside...
How much longer can we resist the undeniable pull of mates?
The Shifter Medical Center is famous for treating shifters of all kinds for broken bones, deadly diseases, shattered hearts, and incurable crushes. The doctors here will tend to your every need and make you heal in more ways than one…
I have dreamed of writing books since I was a little girl. Always reading, always imagining fantastical worlds and characters, I finally decided to publish the crazy figments of my imagination. I write about shifters, dragons, magic, and hidden worlds that I would like to visit one day...
In my daily life, I love cooking, taking long walks with my wonderful husband, following courses on new topics that I know too little about, and visiting family and friends in faraway places.
Thanks for experiencing and sharing my imaginative world with me!
Thea and Harlan are both shifters. He is a Bear and she, a Cougar. Harlan lost his wife some 5 years ago and is a single parent to a seven years old little girl. Unattached, Thea travels an writes a blog about the p!aces that she visited and the attractions that they offer. She has always had a crush on Harlan and is attracted to him. W hat she ignores is that the feeling is mutual. The author creates a compelling story about the challenges that a couple face when they have to consider, not only their happiness, but also the happiness of a child that is very much implicated in the everyday life of the single parent. The story is good, the romance realistic as are the fears, doubts, and anxieties tied to it but something is missing. Following an exam, the OB-GYN aspect of the title is left behind without any conclusion given to the results. Why is this even called OB-GYN? At the end of the book, when Harlan wakes up his daughter, the author mistakingly refers to Cleo, the daughter as Thea and this, on multiple occasions. Like stated, the story is compelling but the items previously listed cost 2 Stars.
Thea and Harlan had a long road ahead of the them. Harlan was set in his ways. Having to raise a child, he believe in structure. When he finally admitted to having feelings for Thea, I was glad and so were a few other people. Thea had that wanderlust. It started when Harlan married Carrie and carried over into her present. Now they can't keep their hands off each other but respect the line where Cleo is concerned. You'll fall in love as you witness the growing feelings between Thea and Harlan. This is Strictly My Opinion and I VOLUNTARILY REVIEWED THIS BOOK.
This is a shifter medical book about a cat shifter and a bear shifter who hook up and a child bear shifter and all the ups and downs if life they find each other and find love and happiness
Harlan, a bear shifter and Thea, a jaguar have fallen head over heals for each other! The story is amazing and once again I couldn't put my Kindle down. I have really enjoyed this series!
Dnf after half way! I couldn't connect with the story or simply understand what was going on. I tried but it was way to complicated for my simple mind. Regarding that in total I have dnf less than 10 books , it says a lot for me.
I am totally loving this series! Thea is a wild child, traveling hither and yon as the wind blows ... will she be able to commit to settling down with the man her heart has been set on for years?
This series is so fun to read. The characters are wonderful and the stories seem to get better with every new book in the series. I can’t wait for the next one.
OMG, single dad, pinning, making sure his kid is okay... friends to lovers... heat... older brothers best friend. Just so many wonderful tropes that make this book absolutely worth it. The only thing I really hated was how forced the ending seemed to be. It was all very rushed and thats why it got the rating it did. But still, if it would have spread a little more I feel it would have easily been a 4 star book.
