Christine has made her bargain, signing her body, her soul and her voice over to her mysterious teacher, the Angel of music. Can her Angel teach her to be the singer Christine longs to be, and can she live up to His high ideals? What happens when feelings begin to tangle, and there is more at stake than just an Opera? Can love be enough to guide them through the dangerous waters they have set off upon, and did either of them ever imagine what it was they signed up to? New faces begin to appear, ones that threaten the safe, enclosed world that Christine and her Angel have created, and as more accidents take place in the Opera House, can Christine really believe what her Angel says? This is part two in a five part sensual retelling of the Phantom of the Opera. There are references to sex and scenes of sexual violence that may be disturbing to some readers.
I have bin looking forward to this book for ages. It doesn’t disappoint. I love the uncertainty Christine finds herself in. She is cutting herself off from others more and more. Good to see it’s not Erik manipulating her into that, but her own choice based around her fragile mental state. Erik mostly seems kind, but he has an inner anger and I can understand that well. The monster inside is all is the thing that he fears most.
Wow, I’m so glad that I’ve read part two of this book now, so exciting, and sexy, the tension between the two leads is amazing. And now Raul has turned up, wow, tense times ahead I feel. Love this book, and love the first book. Can’t wait to see what happens in book 3. Please hurry up write it!!! 🥰🥰🥰
This is the 2nd part to a trilogy. There are some sexy moments between E/c but this is clearly a slow burn. This is a book of souls searching and inadequacy. I’m Interested in Raoul now that he’s appeared, curious as to what the writer will do with him. Waiting for book three.
