Tia is an intelligent, affluent art director at a world renowned museum in Texas who is just as intricately alluring and mystifying as the art donning her sleek, white walls. On the eve of one of her artist’s breakout events, she feels her heart drawn to an exquisite piece amongst the crowd of wealthy socialites - a dignified cowboy with the air of a man who knows what he wants. And as she walks the marble floors of her museum, she feels her heart stutter a heavy beat, echoing with the click of her heels as she is drawn towards his presence.
Wayne Baker is a billionaire cowboy who doesn’t take no for an answer. A bulldog in business and an artist in bed, he woos Tia with his playful grin and charming whit. But as their one night of passion ignites an unknown future...
Will the stirrings of love bind them as one? or will the world around them wrench them apart, causing their passion to crumble, their secrets to be unveiled, and their lives - and hearts - to be forever altered?
3.5 stars but a great concept and book. I loved Tia and her insecurities but when she finally lets people into her life, it’s for a lifetime. Wayne’s character was always understanding and loving. He loved Tia at first sight and he loved Susan, his sister, but she had serious issues (SPOILER ALERT) and he had to stop associating with her because she was becoming territorial and dangerous to Tia. The downgrade in stars is because the reader has no closure in what happened with the last encounter Tia had with Susan in front of Wayne and their mom and dad. Did she plant drugs at Tia’s? Did she go to jail again? What happened? And spellcheck or a editor/proofreader needed.
Well this is a definitely sweet story! It's enjoyable with such fantastic characters, with great chemistry. There is really sad parts but its still a passionate romance! The parts that are sad will bring tears to your eyes along with such a sweet feeling, and the secondary characters are great. But the main characters relationship could have been more but overall it's not too bad and it's still a story to read
Sisterly love it’s supposed to be a wonderful thing between siblings, but when one sibling goes above and beyond what’s necessary to destroy another siblings happiness that is crossing the line and that’s exactly what Wayne sister did. I’m just glad that Tia didn’t hold what his sister it against Wayne. I’m just happy that Wayne got his HEA in the end.
