POWER OVER SPACE AND TIME

Queen Aura’s second child is coming, and with it comes all the perils of politics and pregnancy. Having a baby in a world without modern medicine can be a frightening enterprise, and Zenjiro is committed to doing whatever he can to protect his beloved wife. That goal in mind, he resolves to master the challenging magic of Teleportation. With that power, Zenjiro could summon the finest magical healers of the Twin Kingdoms in the blink of an eye, but learning such an advanced spell will take all his grit and determination. Meanwhile, the nobles of the kingdom plot to use Aura’s absence from public duties to claim new powers and privileges for themselves…

As Queen Aura and Zenjiro prepare for their second child, little is coming in the way of slowing down the train which is their lives! Zenjiro has been committing enormous time and effort to mastering teleportation magic...and he wants to do so before his second child is born. Meanwhile nobles will be nobles and there is a scurrying for power and gain within their ranks in the kingdom. All to say...life stays busy but interesting for the royal family.

I came to this series because the first book presented an exciting fantasy. I've stayed through the info dumps and the lack of action because the political drama rivals anything a sexy queen could bring to the table.

New Political maneuvers, 2nd pregnancy and wrapping up the loose ends of the last arch are the highlights of volume. Can't wait to see the next one!

A really good adaptation.

This was an excellent light novel, and the manga really brings it to life. This is sort of a transitional arc, so it loses a few points for that, but otherwise it's still really good. Great characters and excellent (and consistent) world building.
