Meanwhile nobles will be nobles and there is a scurrying for power and gain within their ranks in the kingdom. All to say...life stays busy but interesting for the royal family.
I came to this series because the first book presented an exciting fantasy. I've stayed through the info dumps and the lack of action because the political drama rivals anything a sexy queen could bring to the table.
This was an excellent light novel, and the manga really brings it to life. This is sort of a transitional arc, so it loses a few points for that, but otherwise it's still really good. Great characters and excellent (and consistent) world building.
