The crowdfunding campaign to produce Mizuhara’s movie has begun! If things go favorably, it could mean that her lifelong dream will finally come true. While she and Kazuya do everything they can to garner support, a wrench is thrown into the works: Mini! She’s accidentally learned about Mizuhara’s work as a rental girlfriend and wants to know more about her relation-ship with Kazuya. In both work and love, things are looking to get really hectic!
It’s getting frustrating that the LI still either hasn’t figured out the main character’s feelings or is leading him on until she figures her own out. I do appreciate that we’re seeing more of the plot moving forward though.
I have some mixed feelings… I don’t know how I feel about Mini, she’s something lol. The whole calling Kazuya Master is a bit much but I guess everyone’s into something… I just really hope that she doesn’t fall for him and it stays as kind of a fan girl thing for Kazuya and Chizuru. But like did girly really need to pull him into her apartment like that! Like dang girl! What the heck! Though she has actually been a huge help with the project and getting them back on track… plus I have been enjoying seeing them all work together and semi get along lol. Sumi was only in this one for a second but she was so adorable! Shy little bean doing her best to help! Giving it her all! I feel like this volume did a lot to setup for the next volume and it really moved the story along… like Kazuya stepped up! And just hearing all the stuff he did to get the film club to agree to help was so moving! Like boy is serious about this and it just shows how much he’s grown! Now we need to talk about the end of this volume! First off! Mini and Chizuru are hilarious together! Like seeing them interact when it came to finding things they could use as rewards was just too much lol. It was all fun and games until Mini told Chizuru that Kazuya loves her! Now I’m just stressed for the next volume! Like what the actual eff did you do that for?!?!?! Like I get she wants them together but that was not the way to do it! Ugh!
This teeters closer to a 3.5 for me. We get a new character and she is a great addition. She is not another piece of the harem and instead is a more level head and support for Kazuya. The film project story takes center stages and it was great to see the characters all working together and having some good moments along the way. Ruka is still adorable and we get a little Sumi moment towards the end. Mami is almost non existent at this point and I think it will be akward when she inevitably makes her return to the story. This was a step in the right direction for the series.
Annnnd I’m finally done with this series. The art’s lovely, Chizuru’s a decent and interesting female protagonist, buuuut Kazuya’s absolutely one of the worst characters I’ve had the misfortune of reading. He’s like late-era Ted in How I Met Your Mother. He’s your friend who can’t shut up about the various women he’s into (and this friend is ALWAYS a guy), but also won’t do a thing about it. Just the worst.
A new character was introduced who is great. She’s not in love with him for some weird reason, she’s funny and honest. All the characters in this series do is lie so it’s nice to have a girl who can be straight with them and a girl the mc can talk to. The series is definitely getting better
This series was beginning to drag for me around the 10-11th volume mark but the last two have really got me interested again, the whole go fund me part has been great. Plus that last panel, what will happen next?!
This series is moving at slower than a snail’s pace and there are several characters I don’t like but I guess imma continue to buy and read because the art style is nice
