I adore Chanwoon, and I can sense the suffering Dong Gyun is through. I think the second couple is pretty cool, the art is great, and I'm starting to see why this is so popular.

Una relación entre un camboy y un fan, ¿qué clase de historia se puede esperar? En este caso, una muy bien dibujada, con mucho sexo bastante explícito y con una relación que empieza siendo bastante tóxica y acaba tocándote la patata. La evolución de Jiwon me ha gustado mucho. De ahí las cuatro estrellas.
El contrapunto con la relación entre Chanwoo y MD no está mal, aunque su historia me gustó menos.

This was a great volume. Despite agreeing to keep his feelings out of their sexual arrangement Dong-Gyun has fallen in love with Jiwon. He didn’t want to tell him at first but after a while he couldn't hold it in. Jiwon, of course, reacted like a total asshole and I was, once again, reminded how much I dislike him. Dong-Gyun is such a pushover when it comes to Jiwon and I wish he wasn't so blinded by his infatuation with his alter ego.
In other news, Chanwoo and DJ MD are finally together(!!) and they are perfect for each other. I love seeing them together and that side story was 🤌.

Gonna post this under all the reviews: I have no idea how BJ Alex is divided into volumes. I'm reading it online, so I only know how many chapters it has. I'm honestly going to sort of guess when each volume begins and ends based on how many chapters there are, but I seriously have no clue.

Whewww spicy galore indeed! One of the first BL manga I have ever read and I’m really glad it was my first to finish as well. I was very weary on starting it bc most Bl mangas tend to have very toxic relationships but this one was super realistic with the ups and downs of a relationship and I’m happy with Jiwon’s character development (bc he was getting very aggravating at times tbh lol) I really enjoyed the side stories as well and I wished we got more in Dept with MD and Chanwoo’s relationship because they’re so cute together! Overall 5/5 stars, amazing art, great plot, and really fine characters hehehe

Listen, I really empathize w DG because I know a lot of us have been there - dating someone super hot and becoming their #1 dummy. But baby DG needs to STAND UP. I feel like in this installment you can really see how DG is getting worn down and fed up with the way Jiwon (Alex) is treating him. How he talks about the way his entire world revolves around Alex, and he gets sad and then goes back and forth with himself and is like "noooo I don't care I still like him." He's willing to take any crumbs Jiwon will give him and I absolutely hate this for Dong-Gyun. He deserves so much better!!! But that ending was absolutely EPIC lmao I actually gasped out loud. The cringing and second-hand embarrassment I just felt is unmatched.

ANYWAY This half of the story was the only part I KINDA enjoyed. Md and Changwoo are the only redeemable part of this story. Alex makes me SO FUCKING angry. Literally feels like he's brainwashing the other one (I don't care enough to remember their names). Idk Changwoo has my whole heart.

Because I read this manga online and couldn't find any details regarding the breakdown of chapters within the volumes, I will write one review for the entire series.
"BJ Alex" by Mingwa is a manga centered around Dong-gyun, a devoted fan of BJ Alex's show. When he crosses paths with Alex in real life, who conceals his face behind a mask, their relationship takes on intricate layers.
This marks the first manga I've ever delved into, and I must admit that I thoroughly enjoyed it. You can read through it so easily and fast and it almost feels like watching a series.
The manga's essentially character-driven, that’s why the plot doesn't overwhelm. It’s rather simple, but I enjoyed the way the author also made sure to follow another relationship development as well as the main couple. The chracters are well-fleshed out and I liked the depth they had. Particularly interesting is Ahn Jiwon's backstory, which hits deeply, and I appreciated the symbolism with his mask.
The storyline is enjoyable, though it’s not a masterpiece - quite acceptable given the manga's focus on character development.
What I did not find enjoyable was the matter of consent. I'm uncertain if this is a characteristic of yaoi or manga in general, as I haven’t read any other works, but certain aspects within this manga unsettled me. One party rarely asked for consent, and on occasion, the other party told them to stop. Of course it was also part of the character’s development, yet it left me with a sense of discomfort. Many times I felt uncomfotable but after I found out they are enjoying themselves I was relieved. The presence of safwords is also a relief, since they could have used them if they were not happy about the situation. As the story progresses the aggression turns more into sensual and loving scenes, especially when there’s feelings evolved later on. I sensed that the author did not romanticize the issue of consent, but rather employed it as a tool for character depth and evolution. This perspective, however, cannot excuse everything and you always have to read critically.
I honestly think this series is good in some ways, it’s definetely not my favorite series. I would not recommend this to everybody, please read trigger warnings before reading!
