Alex's parents are simply excessive. What else can you want of that boy? At least Dong has pride, and for that, I am happy. But it's starting to become interesting. I particularly enjoy the tension created by Alex's internal conflict about Dong.

Este tomo tiene una de mis cosas favoritas y es el inicio del arrepentimiento/reflexión de Jiwon, se nos introduce el pasado de Jiwon y cuales fueron las cosas que lo obligaron a ser la persona que es. Pero también tenemos a DG respetándose a si mismo, estoy tan orgulloso de el.

Because I read this manga online and couldn't find any details regarding the breakdown of chapters within the volumes, I will write one review for the entire series.
"BJ Alex" by Mingwa is a manga centered around Dong-gyun, a devoted fan of BJ Alex's show. When he crosses paths with Alex in real life, who conceals his face behind a mask, their relationship takes on intricate layers.
This marks the first manga I've ever delved into, and I must admit that I thoroughly enjoyed it. You can read through it so easily and fast and it almost feels like watching a series.
The manga's essentially character-driven, that’s why the plot doesn't overwhelm. It’s rather simple, but I enjoyed the way the author also made sure to follow another relationship development as well as the main couple. The chracters are well-fleshed out and I liked the depth they had. Particularly interesting is Ahn Jiwon's backstory, which hits deeply, and I appreciated the symbolism with his mask.
The storyline is enjoyable, though it’s not a masterpiece - quite acceptable given the manga's focus on character development.
What I did not find enjoyable was the matter of consent. I'm uncertain if this is a characteristic of yaoi or manga in general, as I haven’t read any other works, but certain aspects within this manga unsettled me. One party rarely asked for consent, and on occasion, the other party told them to stop. Of course it was also part of the character’s development, yet it left me with a sense of discomfort. Many times I felt uncomfotable but after I found out they are enjoying themselves I was relieved. The presence of safwords is also a relief, since they could have used them if they were not happy about the situation. As the story progresses the aggression turns more into sensual and loving scenes, especially when there’s feelings evolved later on. I sensed that the author did not romanticize the issue of consent, but rather employed it as a tool for character depth and evolution. This perspective, however, cannot excuse everything and you always have to read critically.
I honestly think this series is good in some ways, it’s definetely not my favorite series. I would not recommend this to everybody, please read trigger warnings before reading!

FINALMENTE LE TOCO A JIWON SUFRIR MUAJAJAJA
Sabía que el karma le iba a llegar al pedacito de infeliz, y también sabía que iba a ser tan satisfactorio ese momento JAJAJAJAJA por otro lado también sufro por mis niños. Chingada madre, Pero si no sufren se acaba muy rápido la historia así que aunque estén peleados hay que soportar.
¡Es el momento de desarrollo de personaje de Jiwon!
Me encanta como Nam Dong-gyun está evolucionando, ojito acá no solo Jiwon tendrá su desarrollo de personaje sino que Nam igual.
Y ya conocí finalmente la historia de Jiwon, sabía que ser ese pedazo de estiércol se debía a un corazón roto de su primer amor, ¡Era obvio! Sin embargo, hay más de su pasado y soloe queda decir que, ¡Malditos padres le dieron a tocar! Era un niño tan lindo, una persona tan dulce y sus padres tan mierdosos, malditos elitistas. 🙄 Su hermano me agrado un poco, pero tampoco hacia nada especial para ayudarlo. 🫠

𑁍 Este puede ser, probablemente, uno de los mejores tomos del manhwa. Aquí conocemos la historia de Jiwon, quien desde niño fue comparado con su hermano y sufriendo el desprecio de sus propios padres; ambos son un asco de personas que le exigían demasiado a alguien que sólo era un niño pequeño, le robaron la infancia, sus sueños, su confianza y autoestima, lo que ocasiona que trate de encontrar esa falta de amor en el primer chico que le mostró un mínimo atisbo de atención.
𑁍 Por si no fuera todo ya triste en la vida de Jiwon, se enamora del peor hombre que pudo conocer, un tipo que sólo se acercó a él por el desafío de poder tenerlo y en cuanto Jiwon se enamora de él, este lo abandona siéndole infiel. Alex ya tenía el corazón roto por sus padres y lo ocurrido con su ex sólo hace que ese corazón desaparezca convirtiéndolo en la persona que es en la actualidad. Lo vemos reflexionando sobre su miedo al amor y como es que perdió a la única persona que verdaderamente lo ha amado por tratarlo de una manera tan horrible y por fin se da cuenta de lo mucho que lo hecha de menos… 💔

Hago esta reseña luego de leer la historia completa, por lo que no me refiero un tomo en específico. También debo aclarar que mi impresión de la misma esta afectada por haber leído previamente Jinx, una obra posterior de esta misma mangaka y que es mucho más oscura.
Como decía, al haber leído Jinx previamente, esta obra me pareció suave y tierna. Es verdad que el personaje de Alex es frío y en duro con el protagonista, pero no llega a ser cruel (como si lo es en Jinx). Es un romance un poco idealizado, pero casi todos los BL lo son. Los dos personajes tienen traumas en el pasado que afectan su presente, que se explican bien y en el momento adecuado. También está presente el tema de la homofobia o rechazo social de la homosexualidad, que aparece bien abordado.
La pareja secundaria también es interesante. Hay muy poquito de ellos, aunque luego de que termina la historia principal, tiempo más tarde la autora publicó unos extras al respecto. Me gustó mucho como muestra la diferencia tajante entre el sado-masoquismo como juego sexual y la violencia de pareja.
Como decía, al haber leído Jinx previamente, esta obra me pareció suave y tierna. Aprender un poco de lo que le paso a jiwon solo me hizo pensar sobre mis propios traumas y los que yo misma dejé cuando me involucre con varias personas, él no podía amar porque nadie nunca lo hizo con él, sus padres obviamente tenían favoritismo sobre su hermano y él y la única persona que le enseñó el amor romántico, lo engaño y lo uso, era obvio que no iba a estar seguro de sus sentimientos o de abrirse a alguien más y es que nos cuesta mucho seguir adelante, a veces ni siquiera queremos hacerlo, nos gusta usarlo como una auto defensa, supongo que todos sentimos eso en algún momento, yo misma lo e sentido y hecho cosas de las que me arrepiento pero la gente cambia, crece y sigue adelante, en el capítulo 51 por fin entendió que si está enamorado de Dong-gyun, y me encanta eso para él, jiwon es complicado pero no lo odio

No te pases es lo más emocionante que ha pasado, apartir de este escrito es todo spoilers:
-Me encanta el empoderamiento del dong gyun que se de cuenta que necesita de una relación veo un crecimiento de su personaje
- Entiendo todo lo que pasa con Alex y su apego nervioso por ser comparado pero tambien es cuestion de trabajarlo
- Se que iniciaron como amigos con derechos, pero en un prinicipoo Alex sabia que DG sentía algo por él y que podía complicar las cosas, es valido que él pida más, ya que el free ya no llena sus expectativas de lo que quiere en una relación
- Uff la escena de cuando le pide una de despedida nombree fue muy emocionante
-Personalmente me encanta cuando el Top se va dando cuenta de sus sentimientos y torpemente quiere explicarlos, incluso si le ruega seria chingon

Bueno, yo dividiría el pasado de Jiwoon en dos partes: sus padres y Hweemin.
Lo de sus padres me pareció demasiado surrealista. No puedo tomarmelo en serio, se supone que hace todo bien pero sus padres lo ven como una decepción. Entiendo el trauma pero pudieron al menos hacer que pareciera mas creible y menos de caricatura.
Sobre Hweemin, he de decir que me gustó. Esta parte de su pasado me parece mas entendible para comprender los problemas al socializar que tiene en el presente.
Aún siento que la autora obliga a Jiwon a enamorarse de DG. Pero siendo sincero, si no hubiera final feliz capaz el manhwa no seria lo que es a día de hoy. Igual me costará creerme su romance teniendo en cuenta lo que he dicho en otras reseñas.
Le di media estrella mas a este por que se me hizo mejor de leer y sufrí menos con sus absurdeces.

Conocí a Mingwa por Jinx, desde el inicio me intrigo su talento, está de más mencionar que estoy obsesionada con la historia de Jaekyung y Dan, así que después de mucho pensar me animé a leer su primer trabajo BJ Alex, y pasó lo mismo, me obsesioné, la historia empezó fuerte y atrapa al lector instantáneamente además la belleza del dibujo y la complejidad de los personajes hace que no puedas parar de leer, así que me aventuré a leer y aunque me costó simpatizar con Jiwoon al final terminé muy encariñada con el y con DG, su relación se construyó poco a poco y fue gradualmente memorable.para mi. La historia tiene un comienzo tóxico pero la redención del personaje de Jiwoon es simplemente más que cálida. Espero que ellos sean felices, Jaekyung y Dan también.
