I love this series!!!!! Suzie and Mary start a host of guests that are a lot to be desired, especially when the bickering flowed out of the bus, with 70 year old people got off, It all centered around this one little old lady. Her sister could not stand her, she was mean and cheated everyone she met. They were from Shady Village, they were having a pre Thanksgiving dinner/ birthday party, well they were forced into a birthday party which turned into a nightmare when the birthday person fell out. She was a hated woman which she had a very deception past. Not Suzie and Mary have to find out who, but they knew why. There are a lot of suspects from in and out of Garber. Jason also has to train a new deputy in the police department. Boy I would not want to be in their investigation. Now you have to read this book, you won't be disappointed!!!!
The Dynamic Duo (Mary and Suzie) find themselves in a bit of pickle when a retirement group coming to celebrate Thanksgiving at their B&B, Dune House, consists of one member that no one likes. When tragedy strikes, Mary & Suzie put on their investigating hats to help solve the crime. I absolutely love the friendship between Mary & Suzie. Everyone needs a friend like they are to each other. Dune House sounds beautiful as does the small town it is in. This is a great series that I highly recommend. Happy Reading!
* I received an ARC from the author but this review is my honest opinion.
Gosh, what a whirlwind of excitement this one was, I must say Margret did deserve her ending. She sure was a nasty piece of work wrapped up in a seemingly innocent older lady. I felt really bad for Greta, imagine having lived with that most of her life and it affecting how people reacted to her, no wonder she was so defensive. Beth was very no-nonsense, strict discipline and rules but she came through for the ladies in the end and saved the day. More fabulous characters and a story with lots going on, a second round with poison as the weapon of choice.
I like how Cindy Bell’s characters quickly come to feel like people you know or want to know. I also like that her paragraphs are not long and drawn out. Susie and Mary run a B&B where a group of older people are spending an early Thanksgiving together. When one of them dies over her birthday cake the game is on to find out who the murderer is. You will be guessing right up to the end.
Here we are again, investigating another suspicious death at Dune House as a guest dies at the dinner table during a dinner from a retirement home. However, this guest is known to be the troublesome member of the group and the whole group are at loggerheads as soon as they step off the coach when they arrive at Dune House. Two of the people on this bus are sisters, but it’s one of them that ends up dead. She makes this dinner all about her and claims that it was a birthday dinner, as she craved the attention. It is first believed that the death was by natural causes, only it turns out that it’s again another murder! Suzie and Mary now begin to get to work on solving this murder to avoid the reputation of Dune House becoming destroyed - yet there have so many murders happened within the B&B but people are still continuing to stay there. However, as there were a lot of guests at this party it proves hard to be able to definitively work out who actually committed this murder.
