I sad such high hopes for this book since I loved the first. But this fell so flat.

Everything seemed to intertwine and it felt like too much. It all just felt like implausibilities made true for shock factor.

It all wasn’t believable and I hated this book very early on. And there also were some things in this book that literally went against what was said in the first.

Also the character sheet at the beginning gave away some things that I would have never guessed from the first book. I probably wouldn’t have such strong negative feelings about this book from the start if that wasn’t there.

Also was not a fan of how this book was written with multiple POVs and going back and forth between past and present.

I added .5 of a star because there were a few things I did like.

But if a 3rd book is written, I’ll probably skip it.

Just as much as the first installment, “The Wrong Samantha”, I thoroughly enjoyed this! Everything is very well researched and alarmingly accurate. There are so many parts that make me cringe, and the descriptions make me able to imagine how it would be to watch it in person. I think the part that bothers me most is how easily the characters end up turning and becoming evil. It also makes me think about how there are people like this in real life which is truly terrifying! I’m elated about the redemption arc and am anxious to see what comes next!

Holy wow… the questions you had in book 1 are answered in book 2. Still brutal and so messed up. This book is written so well that once again it’s like a movie playing while I’m reading. If your looking for sex, messed up romance, torture, and just simply saying wtf, omg, wait what? Yeah this is the book to read.

I love how this cleared up any questions I had from The Wrong Samatha, I also like how August went back into their pasts so you get a clear understanding how the organization started. The end did leave a cliffhanger for a 3rd book and I’m excited to read more.

This book was…interesting to say the least. For one, there were way too many POVs. Not everyone needs a POV. And on top of that, all the POVS were either past or present. So now you have to remember, 5-6 characters storylines and the different positions in the timeline of the two books. There were also typos throughout the story, which bothered me. TONS of content warnings, definitely read those before reading, and the one couple that’s in the book involved a weird age gap. This book had tons of red flags. I understood what they were going for, but it was just too much.
