THE WORLD IS CHANGING, AND THE HUMAN FREEDOM IS THREATENED. WHO IS THE MASTER OF THE WORLD?
Why is my book a must-read? In a world consumed by meaningless content that we devour daily, you can finally emerge in a tale that's so close to reality - yet unique, so full of emotions - yet showing you the lack of mercy of those in power. You will find wholesomeness in what was once unholy. All those things aside, the cover of the book is dope as hell and the author is a sexy nerd with glasses. 😬📚✒️
The author's writing is excellent, and the story is captivating. I can't wait to see what happens in book two. I'm not going to say too much since I don't want to give anything away. The book was fantastic.
Awesome book by a new author! It was suspenseful and original. There were a few tiny spacing errors, but it didn't detract from the story at all to me. It ended on a cliffhanger so I'll be grabbing book two when it comes out! A must read!
Great read! Although it was bigger than my usual readings and took me awhile to finish it, I really enjoyed the story and how everything was evolving. Really good for a debut novel and (without spoiling anything) it gives hints that there will be a second book. I'll definitely be waiting for it
Scarlett: Dawn of rebellion has an interesting plot line with well thought out characters. There are plenty of twists and turns throughout the book. At first, as a reader you think the government are the bad guys, but it soon becomes clear there is a much worse threat in the world. I liked the futuristic element and the world building was great, and the ending leaves you hanging and wanting to find out what happens next.
I enjoyed the story as a whole but I feel the book would benefit from a more thorough edit. The author often refers to the characters as blond haired girl/blue eyed boy etc repeatedly, but as a reader we already know the characters names. Once or twice would have been fine, but this phrasing felt overused, and I found it to be irritating as I read the book, but that could just be me. The author also tends to over explain a lot, not giving the reader a chance understand by themselves what is happening. What I mean by this is, the author is fantastic at showing the reader what is happing through action and dialogue, but then immediately follows it up by telling the reader how the characters feel or what they think, when we have already seen that information and can work it out for ourselves. If the over explanations were removed from the book, the pacing would be much quicker and I think the book would be more enjoyable overall.
The author wasn’t afraid to take risks and did not stick to a predictable plot, making this book feel unique. Overall a very enjoyable read.
