Each On-Trail Love Adventure is a stand-alone story with complete HEA. All of the books are set along the Appalachian Trail and feature different characters (though side characters sometimes sneak into multiple books!). The books can be read in any order with no worries about spoilers, and the steam level is similar for most of them. Happy Trails! Enjoy your Reading!!
Hiking the Appalachian Trail is supposed to be Lucy's new beginning, but when she finds guns hidden under the leaves, she wonders if this adventure will end up being a fresh start or her final ending.
At least she got to meet a good man along the way. For the first time since losing her husband, Jacks made Lucy’s heart flutter with passion. Too bad she didn’t get to meet back up with him before ending up lost in the woods with no gear and a broken wrist.
Jacks isn’t one to let things go, especially not when they are as intriguing as Lucy. He won’t let a little bit of wilderness stop him from reconnecting with her, even if it means he ends up lost, too.
Lucy and Jacks must lean on each other's strengths to survive in the woods, but it's not until they return to civilization that they encounter their most challenging adversary. Escaping from bears is easy; It's humans that pose the real threat.
Alongside Lucy starts as an informative hiker's travelogue, pivots into survival in the woods, and then sends you on a rollicking multi-generational detective adventure to the end. While the crime-solving is sometimes farfetched, the portrayal of a strong female hiking solo on the Appalachian trail is inspirational.
Alongside Lucy has been designated a FEMINIST SPICE CLUB(tm) read, having met all of the requirements of a novel that showcases smart, strong, sexy, and independent female main and supporting characters. The spice is light, but well timed, and rooted in admiration for female strength and spirit.

As I was unfamiliar with the Appalachian Trail I found the story to be very interesting, learning about hiking terms and the story of Lucy and her journey and knowledge to survive. I had to keep turning the pages to see how it was going to end
I absolutely loved the basis for this story, hiking the Appalachian Trail and the trials that befall two innocent hikers who connect briefly for a meal but who both end up fighting to survive and get back to civilisation after encountering the wrong people.
Romance level: closed door Writing was okay but a lot of grammar mistakes that made reading not as fun. I liked learning about trail hiking and some of the different things encountered.
