I absolutely LOVE Lena Hendrix and her small town romances. Her spice writing is amazing. Josh and Effie are perfection and their chemistry is 🔥. These two who look so different on the outside, are really very similar on the inside.

This book! This series! This author! I was invited to be apart of Lena's team for this book and I'm so excited I said yes! I already loved Lena because her Chikalu Falls series (which ps I love the nod to that series and if you haven't read the series you really should!) and had no doubt that I would love this series. It had been on my TBR for awhile now so I scrambled to read the first two books in this series so that I'd be ready for this one once the ARC landed in my kindle. I DEVOURED these books! They are so freaking good and I will get to posting those reviews. But first let's talk all things *The Rebel*

The sparks are instant. The chemistry is 🔥. The friendship they build is amazing.
Effie is an actress from LA hiding out in Tipp but she's also trying to find her dad. To the world she is Maddison Colt, but she really just wants to be loved and accepted for Effie Pierce. Because that is who she truly is. What you see is not always what you get. And that is true for both her and Josh. Josh is the cinnamonroll bad boy. On the ouside he's the easygoing hardworking charming hot as hell cowboy. But underneathe is A dirty mouth that easily makes you Swoon with some serious alpha tendencies. & the way he is with Malcolm. Josh Laredo is everything and more!!
I don't think I could ever pick a favorite book by Lena because they're all so freaking amazing! Another 5 ⭐️ read for me! I can't not wait for Gemma's book!! 🤍

HOLY CRAP!
Josh is definitely up there with my top book boyfriends... the flith that comes out of his mouth! 🥵 I love it!!
Effie comes to Redemption Ranch looking to find answers to questions that she's had since she was a kid.
Here she meets Josh and there are instant sparks between them. They have undeniable chemistry and its lush to see their friendship become more.
The spice is definitely increased in this one... The steamy shower scene is freaking HOT! 🥵🥵
They are both used to showing people the part of them that they want to see but easily show their true sides to each other.
This series keeps getting better and better.
I really excited for Gemma's story next ❤️

I am so in love with this book! It's full of sweetness and steam. Josh and Effie are the absolute perfect couple. None of the suspense that we get in book one and not as much tension as in book two, but there is a little mystery around Effie and a lot of love!
Josh is your charming, happy-go-lucky cowboy...always putting others ahead of himself despite how it makes him feel... but behind closed doors, he's a take charge, dirty-talking alpha male, who will have you begging for more.
Effie, or as the world knows her, Madison Colt, is a LA Superstar. She is always in acting mode and putting on a happy front...hiding the real her behind all the glitz and glamour, when all she really wants is to be loved and accepted for who she really is. Effie Pierce.
I loved how these two had a brief history. Their attraction was immediate and the chemistry between them was off the charts!
This is definitely my favorite of the series so far!

Pretty sure Josh and Effie just took too spot for my favorite Redemption Ranch couple over Parker and Sienna! Their story was so full of heart and a real authentic love just between the two of them. Both Josh and Effie have a talent for showing people who they want them to see but with each other they let all their walls down and just be. The way they told each other “I see you and I love you” all the heart eyed swoon emojis! I can’t get over their story and I loved how Effie found a safe place and a home with Josh and the rag tag bunch of misfits in Tipp Montana.
I’m even more excited for Gemma’s story after the epilogue, I can’t wait!!

Book three in the series can be read as a standalone and ends with a HEA. It is written in first person from an alternating dual POV.
Josh grew up on the ranch as the son is a U.S. Marshal. After time in the Army, he returned to ranch and made a home there. When Effie makes her way back into his life, she turns it upside down and steals his heart. Effie is a top actress who ends up with some social media drama. She makes her way to Redemption Ranch to lay low and to search for answers to questions she has had her whole life.
There are immediate sparks between Josh and Effie. I love their chemistry. I love their friendship. Josh is a big marshmallow with a hot alpha wolf underneath. They bring a lot of heat to the page as their relationship progresses. Seriously, HOT. They are both used to giving the people around them what they need to their own detriment. I really enjoyed that they each have a journey of self-discovery, and that they both need to complete that journey to have a forever HEA. I don’t want to give away spoilers. There are my subplots in the story that unfold as they each learn who they are and who they need to be. I want to say that this author keeps getting better. This was an easy read with a couple who share a deep emotional connection and a whole lot of passion.

Who couldn't love a man like Josh?
I make no secrets that I love a good guy. We all need the bad boy every once in a while, but the good guy always does it for me.
And Josh is the best kind: the good guy, with a heart of gold and a delicious edge.
The kind of man that opens the door for you and smacks your butt in the process.
He and Effie led opposite lives, but they had more in common than met the eye.
They both understood (on different levels, I concede) what was like to live under a facade. To please everyone around because you felt you had to. It was draining to be always on.
So when they finally found that one person (each other) who could truly see them, it was as liberating as it was scary.
I loved how easily they molded their routine and how organically their feelings grew. Their love was natural and their chemistry was right on point.
They deserved the story they had, and even more beautifully, without giving any spoilers, more than the two of them found happiness in this book.
My heart is officially warm.

Oh my gosh. LOVE LOVE LOVEDDDDD THIS ONE. Lena seriously can draw you in from her first page, it’s magical. And I couldn’t put it down.
This is the third book in the redemption ranch series and I can confidently say it’s my favorite. But I have a good feeling about the last book because the MC (Gemma) is my favorite side character throughout the series!!!
Josh and his dirty mouth will have your knees trembling & panties dropping. He’s a nice guy on the streets but a dirty talking alpha in the sheets. 💦 He made me swoon so many times I couldn’t even keep count. Also major daddy vibes.
Him and Effie, oh Jesus. 🔥🔥🔥
They both hide behind masks that they have up on a regular basis. Each for their own respective reasons but both valid causes. The beauty of it? That they can sense that there is something underneath and it motivates them to find what’s hidden below. Their chemistry was phenomenal, and I felt tingles by just picturing how Josh looked at Effie. AHHHHH!!
I loved the mysterious aspect to this book and I was NOT ready for the reveal. I almost cried whew.
This book took me on a journey I was more than happy to partake in, but I can’t believe that this series is about to be over. 🥹

I devoured this small-town, opposites attract, second chance romance so quick it was unbelievable! Effie, a movie star, needs to get away and she ends up at Redemption Ranch where she meets Josh. Josh is the perfect book boyfriend. He’s a dirty talking ex-military man who loves and cares deeply.
Josh and Effie have intense and explosive chemistry and I loved how much they cared about each other. JOSH, yes him again, ugh he’s literally perfect and I can’t stop obsessing over him! Hendrix has written perfection when it comes to Josh and I desperately wish someone like him existed in real life!

This series always hits all the right spots. But when I heard I was getting Josh's book before the Gemma/Scott book I am so desperately craving, I threw a little temper tantrum. Turns out Josh and Effie make the wait barable.

I loved this book. I love how Lena Hendrix writes men. I love how her characters are complex and multi-faceted. I am obsessed with how she has this incredible burning passion on the page and these deep feelings that make your heart ache.
Effie was a great character to read. Josh was a swoonfest. And the cast of characters around the ranch only added to it. I absolutely adored The Badge. I screamed about The Alias. And The Rebel was an incredible addition to the series.
But the cliffhanger with Gemma and Scott made it clear I am READY for the next installment as well.

“I see you and I love you”
I have really enjoyed this series a lot so far, and I think I might say this one is my favorite. I didn’t think I could love anyone more than my wonderful grump Parker in The Alias since burly grumps are my WEAKNESS. Then we get blessed with one Joshua Laredo in this book, and I was gone for him. I have never read a MMC that is such pure golden retriever energy in the streets, but deliciously filthy mouthed in the sheets. The steamy scenes definitely left me a little hot and bothered. More than that though, I loved seeing him grow into being authentic, and building the life he dreams of. I loved Effie too. She was forced into modeling and acting at a young age by her mother, and she was never really able to figure out who she was besides the glamour girl. She’s now an award winning actress who needs to lie low after some bad press, and she goes to Redemption Ranch with questions about her past, where she meets Josh. I loved seeing her start to figure out who she truly is and grow into that.
The “I see you and I love you” is really beautiful to me, because is there anything better than finding your person who truly sees you and loves all of it? I really appreciated how that was explored here. It is so hard to be authentic and unguarded with people, so when you find someone you can completely be yourself with it’s worth everything. This book can be read as a standalone. There was nothing in the first two books that I needed in order to understand, though having all of the context and knowing who the other characters are that are mentioned definitely helps the enjoyment factor.

There was nothing in the first two books that I needed in order to understand, though having all of the context and knowing who the other characters are that are mentioned definitely helps the enjoyment factor.

This opposite attract/ small town romance was pack with heart, the right amount of drama and enough heat to melt the pages in your kindle.
This is the first book I read by this author and I became addictive with the story immediately, I'll definitely be checking out the previous books in this series because I loved the whole concept of this Redemption Ranch where not everything is at it seems.
Hollywood star Effie needs to lay low after a tabloid scandal, she ends up in the small town of Tipp Montana where she can accomplish this but also she makes the opportunity to look for answers for questions she has had all her life but when she crosses paths with a sexy stranger in a bar is like if destiny is playing matchmaker because she not only ends up working with him but also she finds herself living in his house, but this is expected from the town's good guy Josh.
I loved Josh's character so mush. He is retired from the services and is living a quite life and working at Redemption Ranch, he has always been seen as the good guy but not everything is at it seems, underneath he is hiding his true self and that's always he has in common with Effie.
These two really see each other underneath their mask. Their chemistry is intensely hot, I loved all their interactions and how they shared a special moment when they were kids not knowing that been in each others life was meant to be.
But their worlds are opposite and they have to decide what the future will bring for them and if they are willing to risk it.
Great story and I definitely recommend it.

What a beautiful introduction to a new-to-me author. Lena Hendrix pulled me into her newest novel, The Rebel, from page one and never ever let go. The steamy opposites attract, small town romance blends intrigue, humor, heat, and heart into a story I absolutely could not put down.
Not only is the plot and pacing perfection, the imagery created through Hendrix’s vivid narrative and authentic dialogue immerse the reader in the lives of the characters and situations they move through. Effie’s story and struggles will resonate with anyone who has ever had to hide their true self, keeping up appearance, until they find the one. And Josh is perfect in his imperfections. Hendrix deals with sensitive issues without sensationalizing them, which makes them even more essential elements of the characters and plot without being overwhelming or excessive.
The plot and characters are developed beautifully through keen emotional connections, and the steam between Effie and Josh is intense and passionate. I love the deeper connections and themes of acceptance and understanding Hendrix incorporates into their story, keeping The Rebel from becoming just another play on the starlet and the cowboy trope.

This is my absolute favorite book of the series so far!
Josh... What can I say, this man was everything. He portrayed himself as the easy going, laid back, carefree guy to those around him, but he was so much more and only one person could see that and bring out the parts he kept hidden. Effie kind of did the same thing though. As an actress, Madison Colt was a star with beauty and confidence, but Effie was just a girl who was a little lost and didn't have the same confidence as Madison. Together though, they saw each other and complimented each other without giving up any parts of who they really are, and it was beautiful.
I loved everything about this book. The reason Effie came to Redemption Ranch, the fact that this was not the first time Josh and Effie met, and Malcolm; he was the cutest! The chemistry between Josh and Effie felt so authentic and the sex scenes were hot af! I mean, who doesn't love a dirty talking bad boy in the sheets who is a charming gentleman in the streets! Yeah, definitely my favorite of the series so far and I'm excited to see what happens in the next book.

The story is intriguing, the characters at the ranch are like a family to us readers now, I loved catching up with our favs….but this story for me, was all about Josh!!!!!! Wow!!! HOLY HOTNESS!!!! Effie and Josh's opposites attract; small town romance was a delight to read! I loved their heated passion and their laughter. At times, their disappointment in themselves and in each other pulled on my heartstrings, and I had tears streaming down my face. While their story can be read as a standalone, I was happy to see characters from the previous books make appearances in this book.

Effie is amazing and I have to say I LOVE the name Effie. As any Hollywood story the real person behind the star is where the real story lies and this was no exception.
I loved that both Josh and Effie were both trying to hide their real self and that they were the only ones who saw each other through their facade. "I see you and I love you"
And just excuse me while I fan myself over the love scenes. Their chemistry was off the charts and that side of Josh was 🤌.

Josh Laredo has easily become one of my top book boyfriends. This man was perfection! He was the cinnamon roll MMC who always helped everyone out, handled everything without any complaints, and was present at all times. However, lately, the constant pressure of living up to everyone's expectations and being who others needed him to be was starting to take its toll on him. Being an army veteran also meant that he'd seen things that had left more than just the physical scars.
Effie Pierce was used to being who the world wanted her to be. Every aspect of her life was carefully crafted to fit the persona of Maddison Colt. No one cared enough to know about the real her. But when she reaches Tipp, Montana, it gives her the opportunity to be herself away from the public eye, and she takes it. Watching Effie figure herself out and form genuine friendships was beautiful. There was also the mystery of Effie trying to figure out her father's identity that kept me guessing and unraveled in the best way.
I loved Malcom's character and his bond with Josh. He was such a sweet kid, and watching him find a family that truly wanted him was everything. The way Malcom slowly formed a bond with Effie was so heartwarming, especially knowing how much that meant to Josh.
The romance between Effie and Josh felt like such a gradual and natural transition. The attraction was very much present from their first meeting. However, I loved the way their friendship was also given time to develop. That, along with their banter and flirting, eventually turned into more. Another thing that I loved about their relationship was how they could be themselves with each other. Both Effie and Josh had been used to always being what others needed them to be. So to finally be able to strip down any pretenses was something they never knew they needed. This made their interactions more authentic and made me root for them even more.
They had hurdles to overcome when it came to their relationship, and I loved how it led to a sort of "The Gift of the Magi"-like situation. It showed how they were both willing to do what it took to put the other first.
The spice!!! I honestly look forward to the spicy scenes in Lena's books because they're oh so good. This one was no different. I love how sweet, well-mannered Josh took control in bed, and good lord, the mouth on this man!! The way he took control in bed was truly something else. I also love that Effie was bold and matched Josh every step of the way. I loved every single second of it.
I loved the cameos from other characters from the previous books and how their bond was like with both Effie and Josh.

Here she is again folks, coming at us with this incredible romance featuring a hero that has just landed himself on my list of favourite fictional men. Josh Bloody Laredo, come on down! I’ve never been so happy to be catfished by a bloke in my entire life. I was sat there reading about him and thinking ‘what a sweetheart he is, you could definitely take him home to meet the parents’ and then he opens his mouth and out comes the dirty talk. Talk about a pleasant surprise, clearly what we have here is a gentleman in the streets and a freak in the sheets, and ain’t nobody sorry about that.
Josh and Effie’s characters were instantly likeable, as I could just tell that there was more to their characters than what they outwardly portrayed. Josh, constantly playing the role of Mr Nice Guy and never ruffling any feathers, finds that he can be completely himself with Effie. With Effie, she was so used to playing a role and putting on a facade, that she was almost afraid of showing people the real her, but with Josh, being herself came naturally to her when she was around him.
I loved the secondary stories within this book as well, there was one point where I was like ‘Noooooooo’ (said exactly like Rachel from Friends) when a twist occurred that I did not even see coming. Also, Malcolm. I mean how sweet was this kid? I loved his and Josh’s relationship, they had a proper strong connection and I found myself smiling whilst reading their scenes.
This was one hell of a book and, even though I adore all of Lena Hendrix’s books, this one has edged its way to the top of the list. I loved every bit of it. Although, I have a feeling that Gemma’s story is going to give this one a run for it’s money.

My small-town romance Era resumes baby, I discovered Lena Hendrix's stuff last year and was determined to finish this series of Redemption Raunch even though I am a hater for series and I prefer standalone. You can absolutely read each story as a standalone though without missing anything which I am grateful for.
This was AMAZING. The fucking smut though? SIGN ME THE FUCK UP FOR DADDY JOSH!!!!!!!!
I loved both characters equally and selfishly didn't want this to end. It was absolutely the perfect mix of everything, a bit of mushy, a bit of suspense, a bit of small town, and an awful lot of love and spice. The plot was perfect, it was just a story well-done you know? no extra frills and weird stupid small-town stunts or gossip, it was just the perfect amount of everything and I am here for it. I am always thankful for characters who communicate and just seem to mature and this one was the perfect balance for that.
I could go on forever but it should be enough to tell you that I am onto the next one in this series because I am a big massive Lena Hendrix's bitch now.

I think Joshua Laredo has officially bumped all other book boyfriends out of the top spot! That’s it, end of story. Just kidding, I have way more to say about Effie and Josh’s sweet and seriously steamy romance!
Effie finds herself in need of a little bit of hiding after her life in Hollywood gets a little too dramatic, and not at all in a good way. She winds up in Tipp, Montana where she meets (or re-meets) Josh Laredo, the sexy and charismatic town nice guy. Always there to lend a helping hand. When Effie needs a bit of a favor, Josh can’t say no and boy does their relationship escalate from there! And so does the chemistry between these two, OFF THE CHARTS! Seriously, Josh flipping the switch between the caring and thoughtful to the intense alpha male was… 🥵🥵🥵🔥🔥🔥.
Both Josh and Effie are trying to find a balance between who they are on the inside and who they project to the world and it’s so nice to see them be completely comfortable in their own skin with each other. There are so many masks and fake fronts here. And I don’t mean Effie! Josh is used to being the guy looked to as the nicest around, but he’s hiding so much. Effie is looking for an escape for a while, but everywhere she turns in Tipp brings more intrigue and questions. Then when the bombshell of who she and Josh are to each other hits her, watch out! She’s done trying to be perfect. He’s ready to let his true self free. And together, they’re unstoppable.
Effie and Josh both cracked my heart a few times. They both want love and acceptance. They both want to belong. But maybe one or both is afraid to voice that desire too loudly. It’s no secret that Effie has to go back to her “life” eventually, but when ordered to do so, it seems to be the catalyst for her and Josh to break. Take a break? Break up? Break hearts? Maybe all of them? It’s going to take some serious groveling on one part to make things right. And it’s done so in a spectacular manner.

¡Me sorprendió muchísimo el dirty talk que tiene! Yo estaba esperando maripositas y cositas tiernas y si lo tiene, pero ese Josh tiene un vocabulario tan… ¿bueno? Jajajaja 🔥🔥🔥
La historia se desenvuelve en un ranchito, y tiene los deliciosos clichés de proximidad forzada, identidad falsa, opuestos se atraen y él se enamora primero. DIOS.
AMÉ este libro. Es el tercero en la serie de Redemption Ranch y le da un final súper emotivo a todas las parejas anteriores y te deja mega picada para su cuarto libro. Pero puede ser leído como standalone sin problema 💕

I like this series, small town romance is a good trope. I was thrown off with this one, Effie was different than any female lead character I have encountered. Going from her true self to her persona threw me off. Josh stole the show, he is such a great male lead character! He is so patient, kind, and caring. It was good to see some characters from prior books in this one.
