Loved the dual POV and the smut is great but it felt super rushed. Still really liked the story and it was a super quick read, finished it in about 3 hours. I think what bothered me was that the conflict was all left to the last like 25 pages, wish it would've been a little more drawn out.

Argumento:
La primera vez que conocí a Preston Parker me estrellé de frente contra sus abdominales húmedos y cincelados.
En el vestuario de hombres, de todos los lugares.
Como si eso no fuera lo suficientemente vergonzoso, el Sr. MVP me dio una de sus sonrisas asesinas justo antes de dejar caer su toalla frente a mí.
Solo para probar un punto.
Que ninguna mujer puede resistirse a él.
Ni si quiera yo.
Ahora, él sigue encontrando maneras de verme. Y me encuentro queriendo romper las reglas de mi padre sobre sus jugadores.
Reglas que nunca rompo por una razón.
Porque enamorarse de un jugador como Parker... nunca fue parte del plan.
Mi humilde opinión:
Este es un spin-off de una serie deportiva de JQ. La otra generación también juega al hockey y son los chicos más "deseados, perseguidos y privilegiados" de la universidad.
Amo a esos deportistas sexys y confiados que van por la chica que quieren y las enamoran, en algunos héroes algo de arrogancia queda sexy pero en Players break rules no lo soporté. No pudo dejar de picarme mientras leía las conversaciones de este grupo de jóvenes amigos lo MUY arrogantes que eran y la forma de hablar de las chicas con las que se acostaban. Lo siento pero no me sienta bien que compartan chicas o les metan mano sin importar que los otros estén ahí mirando. Uno de ellos había dado a entender que no les importaba tener sexo en presencia de los demás. El mismo protagonista, Preston, le miró sin vergüenza el trasero a la chica que había llevado su amigo a la casa. Así que ciertas actitudes y comentarios no me sentaron bien.
Sobre los protagonistas... Bex y Preston tenían una química explosiva y eran lindos juntos. A pesar de que ella intentó alejarse por ser él un jugador de hockey y por las reglas del padre, la tensión sexual era grande al igual que la tentación. Hay mucho steamy en las escenas de sexo. Los dos eran deportistas y estuvo genial que se apoyaran y entendieran. Eso hacía su relación más fácil.
Agradecí que no se hiciera un gran drama cuando el entrenador se entera de que Preston, su jugador favorito, sale con su hija. El padre fue comprensivo. Pero qué pasó con Preston al final tras su pelea con el otro jugador, el ex de ella? No entendía cómo pudo culpar a Bex sobre lo sucedido. No fue culpa de ella. Así que también hay algo de angustia innecesaria con su separación pero ella lo perdona enseguida.
El tema de las fotos íntimas que quedó inconcluso. No se pudo hacer justicia por lo que le hizo el ex a Bex. Él seguía jugando hockey tranquilamente mientras ella seguía sufriendo por lo que le hizo ya que no podía quitar las fotos íntimas de ciertos sitios de internet. Por eso cuando Preston le dio su merecido lo aplaudí mentalmente.
Es una lectura rápida y sexy. No hay mucha profundidad de nada pero para mí no dejó de ser una historia que entretiene por un rato.

Cute, fun, and witty college aged story. I absolutely loved this book. Hot hockey player and the sassy girl that doesn't give him an inch. Bex and Preston were absolutely wonderful together.

I wanted to DNF this book halfway through the second chapter, it's a miracle I held out as long as I did. The writing was so immature and the characters pissed me right off. The FMC is the biggest pick me and not a girls girl at all. The male characters were absolutely disgusting with the way they'd speak about women - joking about not remembering people they'd slept with, referring to multiple girls as sloppy seconds and repeatedly saying things like "I'd hit it" or "I'd fuck her". I was so excited to read this thinking it would be a fun, quick and easy read but I was so wrong.

Einde was heel erg afgeraffeld.. en ik was boos op hem .. hij begon te knokken. Wel omdat haar ex slechte dingen zei en hem uitdaagde. Maar hij moest haar niet lang negeren en zeggen dat ze niet eens daar had moeten zijn!!! En vooral omdat ze ily zei voordat hij haar begon te negeren ... Die laatste bieb scène was onnodig en niet gepast .. zijn excuses mocht ook meer hebben ... Hij was in het begin zo leuk. Hij was dus ook een fboy in het begin... Gelukkig is het daarna niet te merken in het verhaal .. het was Mwa alles

Is American college really as it is described here?
Really sexist behaviour from the male athletes towards the female students, playing exchange twins in bed with some… having sex everywhere, asking for one of the girls friends to cook for them all….

It was a good story to read, maybe a little rush in some parts. I liked the plot, and the characters were fun to follow. Some parts were a little cringe but I feel it happens in most books lol it was a quick read :-)

5 ⭐ - Preston and Bex's story, coaches daughter, forbidden romance, and secret relationship's, oh my! Such a good story with enough plot to break up the spiciness, and with depth that was so well written.
Her dad has a rule against dating his players, but that goes out the window when Bex runs into (a very naked) Preston Parker in the locker room on the way to her dads office. They are both obviously into each other and have to come up with ways to hang out that won't make her dad notice.
They decide on a "one time thing" that quickly turns into more. Such a beautiful story.
Highly highly recommend
