Bear Willis: Mountain Man: The Making Of A Mountain Man: Blood and Gold: A Sixth Mountain Man Adventure

Rate this book
The sixth Mountain man adventure in a rip-roaring series from Peter Alan Turner!

Mountain Man Bear Willis thought the wagon train he rescued from a Cheyenne war party were simply homesteaders looking to settle in the Montana Bitterroot Territory. He wasn't happy about pilgrims moving into the valley but realized there wasn't much he could do about it.

However, when he discovers their real reason for choosing the Bitterroot, all hell breaks out. The big mountain man is used to settling things with a gun, knife, and tomahawk. However, things get complicated when Bear finds himself attracted to a pretty woman whose husband abuses her. As events reach a boiling point, Bear has to decide which side he is on. Will he side with the Shoshone, Cheyenne, and the other tribes? Or maybe the lure of gold and a woman's love is worth more than any loyalty he has to his Indian friends.

Writing has always been a lifelong dream. Finally, at 71 years young, that dream became a reality. I am honored to be part of Dusty Saddles Publishing, the leading publisher of Western Novels. Currently, I have several Western Series on Amazon: Chet Henderson: Texas Ranger Adventure Series, Bear Willis: Mountain Man Series, and Willie McGee: Mountain Man Series. Along with a co-write with my granddaughter.

In creating my Westerns, I wanted to do three things, be authentic, create likable characters, and tell a good story. With a lot of hard work and prayer, my books have been well received, so, I must be doing something right.

I live with my wife of fifty-three years and our cat Moxie on Rattlesnake Ridge. We are lucky that our children, grandchildren, and great-grandson all live close by. When I'm not writing, I enjoy woodcarving, fishing, and pampering my classic Jaguar.

I donate a portion of the profits from my books to Veteran charities, including the Veteran’s Independence Project.

A good story. However, the typos and poor editing found tons of mistakes on nearly every page. Sometimes the errors made it difficult to even have the sentence understandable. Did no one even proofread this prior to publication? I’d expect better from a high school term paper!
