The Legend of Sisters' Island

Many years ago, a woman was being forced to marry a man who she didn’t love while having to say goodbye to the one she did. Instead, her sister sacrificed herself for her sister’s love and married the man herself…and ended up falling in love. Now every wedding on the island is said to be blessed with the sisters’ love, not just for the men they take as their husbands but for one another as well.

Being the oldest sister isn’t always easy for Charlie James, especially when all of the others are so beautiful and talented. Sometimes she feels like she’s just stuck and going to end up as the old cat lady of the whole island or that weird aunt who always smells of mothballs and alcohol. It’s not that Charlie doesn’t have urges or desires. Every time she sees the blue-haired mechanic next door to her mother’s shop she realizes just how bad those urges and desires are. The only problem is no one that wild and beautiful is ever going to want anything to do with her…right?

Sebastian hasn’t always been the honest citizen he’s been while on the island. He followed a friend here and hasn’t regretted a day of it. He’s got a second chance, a successful business, and a close friend nearby, but something is missing. Something close by that tempts him every day she flits down the street and goes into her mother’s store across the street. But Charlie’s a good girl. She’s not going to want anything to do with an ex-con who has so much baggage it needs its own motorcycle just to drag it around…Is she?

The best thing about all of this…this island is magic (It’s my island so I can make it magic if I want to) and for Charlie and Sebastian it’s magic enough that these two polar opposites just might have more than a chance. Come on back to the island with me and let me tell you a story about a good girl and a reformed bad boy who get their happy ever after in this second book in the Sisters’ Island series and find out why Charlie is bringing Something Blue to her little sister’s wedding.

Love this author. Yeah, her writing isn’t flawless, there are some bumps here and there and grammar errors, but she packs in emotion and steam and heart into her stories that bring the swoon and make up for the writing hiccups.

Safe. Hero’s past is mentioned only briefly and nothing explicit. Heroine is a virgin who belongs only to the hero. No others, no cheating, no abuse. HEA with epilogue and preggers.

good idea bad execution

I really like the idea of the plot. However the writing was bad. At times it made me giggle but not for the right reasons. There were just things in there that made me question why they ended up in the story. The story seems to have the big main ideas but not the small details that make it flow and get to know the characters. Or small simple details that were explained to us but felt unnecessary since we don’t need to really know them.
the book doesn’t really go in depth, so I felt like we didn’t get to know any of the characters. So I felt like there was no connection between the love interests. We knew things about them but never saw them do them.
I found it weird that we didn’t get introduced to the sisters in the beginning. Like we only got their name. No age, no description. Nothing. And there was this sweet but out place moment between the sisters at the wedding. Basically Charlie’s sisters are telling her how awesome and supportive she is since she is the oldest. And while it was cute I felt like it was added because that is who Charlie is described as. Like there was nothing that made the conversation lead that way.
In the end I will check the other books and hope they’re better.

Home ~

I enjoyed reading this story. The beginning, when all the sisters are together, it gets a bit confusing, but not for long. They didn’t realize that they had been watching each other, thinking they were not good enough for the other, for different reasons. Their romance is sweet, and just a bit fast but most definitely hot and naughty, and it’s all done with love. Loved the ending!

Sebastian & Charlie

I am just loving this series (and how quickly it is being published)! Sebastian and Charlie are so darn cute - and hot. They are both so hesitant, tentative and sweet at first. Then it’s like a light switch and it’s no holds barred just hot. The caveman is in town and there is no going back. So good!

Yes!!!!

I was so freaking excited when Jisa Dean gave us this book and it DID NOT disappoint!!! Something Blue is a mix of bad boy mechanic, good girl artist, and all things sweet and HOT! This series is definitely starting out to be fantastic ❤️ Super safe, cavity inducing sweetness, and a HEA to die for ❤️

So many errors.

Littered with spelling errors. The really bad ones are words that are spelled correctly, but clearly auto correct got them wrong.
Been reading this author for a while now, really disappointed by this.
Story was ok, but not good enough to make up for the mistakes.

The island of romance

Sebastian and Charlie are as opposite as can be. Good girl falls for bad boy and the live Happily ever after. Its dirty, but sweeter the cake icing.

The premise itself was promising but the execution was not. Felt like I was reading a rough draft.
