Invisible Girls Club #6

Jocks Don’t Fall For Bookworms

Rate this book
Every bookworm deserves her Romeo.

I’m the bookworm. I dream of having an epic romance like my parents, but the guys at school don’t know I exist. I spend my time daydreaming about the characters in my books, hoping one day my luck will change.

Then my new neighbor and captain of the basketball team asks for my help with catching the popular girl’s attention. Xavier’s not confident with girls and thinks I’m an expert on love and can transform him into a romantic guy. Of course I say yes! The chance to bring two souls together? It’s like a romance novel come to life.

But as I help Xavier woo the girl of his dreams, I find myself falling for him. He’s sweet and kind, and he gives his all to the girl he likes. Qualities I dream about having in a guy. How can I be his cupid when my feelings for him go beyond friendship? A popular jock like him would never choose an invisible bookworm like me.

Or would he?

Jocks Don’t Fall For Bookworms is the sixth book in the Invisible Girls Club, a sweet YA contemporary romance series. If you like invisible girls who snag the boys of their dreams, this book is for you!

***spoilers little here and there***

This one was okay . I will say this I hope the next one is better than this one. I didn’t really like this one as I did the other books. It was interesting but wasn’t interesting enough. I can’t wait for Ava and Aiden story to come out.

I’m curious about him and what’s he going through hopefully he doesn’t get fired. Because he’s definitely going to hate Ava more but it will also be interesting to see them fall in love as well.

With Lily and Xavier they could’ve gotten together way before the dance. He was busy with someone who didn’t even like him. When deep down they both wanted each other. I just hope there’s no other story like this it was cringy or something. I can’t pinpoint what exactly but hmm. It was okay.

But besides all that I think Liam and Chloe going to end up together. I have a feeling.

I loved it!!!

So I definitely liked the original four books the best but I’m excited to read the stories and romances of the younger generation.

Lily actually reminds me a lot of myself.
We’re both overly hopeless romantics who love romance novels and movies.
And I can really see how much of that she got from her mom (Allie)

I also loved the Cupid romance trope. I mean falling for the guy who you’re helping get together with the girl he’s had a crush on for years? Always a win.

Overall 4.5 stars!
Just because I liked the original four books the best and because there were some moments that made me cringe.

I really loved this book. It features everything cute about YA romance. There is a bit of drama, best friends, and also the awesome opposite attracts.

First off, the characters are so good. I loved Lily and Xavier. As people they are really sweet. I loved that they cared for their family in friends. Also, Xavier as a closet nerd is amazing. Additionally, despite being the captain and a really popular kid Xavier is so kind. He doesn't bully or treat girls like crap. He is the perfect gentlemen. Lily also is so much more than a bookworm. I loved that she is great at sports but chooses not to play them.

The romance in this book is really good. I liked the slow burn pacing. The two become friends and really have awesome banter. I liked that their friends are super supportive and help them recognize their feelings. Although Lily tries to "coach" Xavier it is just sweet. There isn't drama. Despite the book being low on steam, it has the toe curling factor.

The secondary characters are my favorite. I loved Xavier's grandfather. He is so caring. Also, his family issues are relatable and doesn't over take the plot. Lily's friends are super awesome. The book club is so adorable.

Basically, read this book. You will get the fuzzies.

Should have stopped at 5

Less good than the previous editions. It’s less connecting now that it’s so far out from the original. Felt nearly unreadable compared to the others

Oh man, I can't believe this book existed and I just got around to read .. for me this one was the best book in the series and I'm sooo happy :D
In this book we will skip another 10 years from the previous book and now it's Junior Musketeers turn, Lily is the daughter of Ally and Zack and she dreams of having her own love story in high school, too bad she's too shy and she only fantasize about boys from books, and that what makes her qualified to give Xavier (her jock neighbor ) advice about romance while he wants to snatch the girl he had a crush on for the past year, she becomes Cupid Lily and she is on a mission, to get Xavier and his girl together to prove that some people are just meant to be .. but, their hearts take a different turn
it's been a while since I last smiled while reading a book and this book was extremely cheesy and adorable and I devoured it in one day, there is no drama and no real issues (except for Xavier's grandfather who has cancer ), I have to say I'm sooo looking forward to Chloe and Liam's story .. but first we have to see Ava's story ..
let's do this :D

Really cute!

Okay, I saw a lot of people complaining about how "cheesy" this book was. Apparently not enough drama in it for them but I actually LOVED that about this book!
Girl helps guy get his dream girl, guy figures out she's the one he wants. It was all super cute!
I consider this a slow burn, since the characters became friends first, got to know each other, and then got together in the last 5 chapters of the book haha
I loved that because it meant they got to know each other. And a GOOD GUY got the girl!😍
Tired of all the rude jerks in this series, and dreading that Ava might be next but at least there was this gem. Pure romance, with sweet characters I love. 100% recommend 👍👍

This was such a cute and sweet storyline. At first I wasn't sure how I was feeling because Xavier and Lily weren't together for most of the book but once they got together it was AMAZING!!! Xavier thought he was in love with someone else and asked Lily for help since Lily knew a lot about Love. Once a situation came to light Xavier's eyes were opened. Lily always dreamt about finding love just like her parents in High school. I love seeing the other characters from the past here. How their friendship is still going strong. I absolutely love the Junior Musketeers. I can't wait to read the next book...

What cover is not great. The book so far is redundant similar personality similar stories similar writing. Just because it’s like the kids of the parents of the previous books.

So far she’s like the worst dating coach and I’m only on page 128

Page 400 it starts getting FAR too cheesy. And who talks like this in front of their friends and what friends want to watch other friends smooch? Yes they use that word.
““You’re so romantic. So awesome.” “You deserve all of it, my amazing girlfriend.”

It was clean and a bit innocent. Maybe one curse word

I love Xavier and Lily's story. There is something so sweet and puter about it. I also love the reference to other connections from previous love stories. I really enjoyed this storty where Lily really truly tried to help Xavier get the girl of his dreams without wanting anything in return (in the end). THen they realize the dream was right in from of each other.

Second generation invisible girls! Both the plot and romance of this one felt well earned, and the two characters were well matched. At some point I'd love for her to break the cheerleader stereotype, but it remains mean girl strong across the board. But we have another sensitive jock, so that's nice. I really liked the slow burn of this one, and think it's her best one yet.

This was one of the cutest books I’ve ever read. Xaivier and Lily are the best and just get each other. I love how they both realize how in love they are with each other.

I feel like the book was too long and the conversations where boring in general. Even some of the parts that should be cute just made me cringe.

Nevertheless, I am in love with Xavier. I really liked how shy and caring he was

I wondered how the love story of Ally and Zack's younger daughter would be like. Would it be any similar to the original musketeers? Kinda, since it's the world's most humble athlete and a hopleless(ish)ly romantic invisible/shy girl striking a deal that would mostly benefit the former. Sound familiar?

I loved that Xavier was a closeted nerd, however. It made his character more likable. (And Noah's first line in that book made me crack up.) I laughed a lot while reading this and enjoyed the whole dating coach trope, and Evie's character reminded me of my older sister.

Overall, it was an amazing story that I would reread, and I am looking forward to the next story 😀
