Toujours aussi agréable de lire ce manga. Makoto et Akane sont deux sorcières humbles et sans prise de tête (et Akane est incorrigible haha) et leurs découvertes dans le monde de la magie sont encore une fois rigolotes ou adorables.
J'aime beaucoup cette série, très reposante et réconfortante je trouve.

3.5 stars! This volume was pretty fun. I especially enjoyed the first few chapters that focused on Akane’s quest at the Firekeep Gate.

A great volume that mostly focused on Akane and her task to make up for freezing time previously. I enjoyed the story about her (and Inauki and Nihei) trying to find the Genesis Flame. It was nice to see what kinds of things Akane gets up to.
The second last story about her getting a phone was funny, especially the way everyone reacted with such shock. Her jumping straight into being obsessed with getting likes on social media seemed accurate. 😂
Also enjoyed Mako giving Kazuno the robe she made for her and testing out the special strength powers.
The only one that I was not as into was the last one - it was a fine story with the Harbinger of Autumn needing the witches’ help with a task, but I am finding it harder to remember who every character is because there are so many now. There was a whole coven of witches in this one and it took me a while to recall who the blonde one was (the American one who assisted with the mandrakes I think). [Again, I don’t know that nudity is necessary - especially for underage characters but I do understand that the visiting of hot springs nude is probably a cultural difference I am not accustomed to and that the hot spring water was actually important to the story here so it’s just a slight complaint].
Overall a great, quick read and looking forward to more whether I can read volume 13!

Akane receives her punishment for stopping time and Makoto may have figured out her career.
I used to really enjoy this series but over time it has dropped more and more for me. I think I have it in me to give one more a try and then I may part ways with this series. More Makoto and less Akane would help.

This was a very Akane centered volume. A large part of the story is her on a mission and helping the Harbinger of Autumn. It also felt more fanservicey particularly due to a hot springs trip. I still liked it overall, but it was a bit of a series outlier.

Akane has to face her punishment for freezing time, but the council members are more impressed than angry. Still, a trip to Tibet is in the making. Meanwhile Makoto and her mundane friends set out to make a movie of sorts while she and her witch friends go out to help Autumn. As always I find it an entertaining slice-of-life with a dash of wonder and fantasy with a slowly expanding world and cast. As always, it is a bit whimsical, and you should not think too hard on how everything works, but I still really enjoy this series,

Media gremlins!
It is amazing to see that Akane is not always the bumbling fool she portays all the time. There is a side to her which always aims at helping people. Paths are being found and chaos is ensuing but always in a fun and enjoyable way.

Je prends plaisir à retrouver l'univers de Flying Witch à chaque tome et en même temps, je ne peux m'empêcher de trouver que la série traîne désormais en longueur pour pas grand-chose...
Chaque tome est l'occasion de nouvelles aventures rocambolesques de nos amies sorcières et de leur proche. L'autrice se renouvelle mais les histoires ne vont pas casser trois pattes à un canard non plus et on a tendance à les oublier aussitôt le tome refermé même si on passe un bon moment avec.
Cette fois d'ailleurs les histoires sont un peu plus longues, surtout la première qui est une sorte d'hommage décalé aux RPG avec quête dans un donjon. C'est amusant de retrouver ici ds vibes de Frieren sans qu'on s'y attende et avec des personnages aussi con-cons.
Par la suite on joue sur les "défauts" des uns et des autres pour imaginer de courtes histoires mais on passe plus de temps en compagnie d'Akane et ses amies qu'habituellement. Les autres nous manquent un peu de part leur absence et la légèreté quotidienne qu'ils apportaient aussi. Du coup quand on les retrouve ça fait bizarre, presque incongru et brutal. On se demande ainsi un peu d'où sort la passion de Makoto pour la couture... Et la passion d'Akane pour les réseaux sociaux est une parodie amusante de nous-mêmes mais tellement déconnecté de tout justement que WTF on se demande où ça mène.
Bref, c'est mignon, amusant mais totalement et fortement dispensable, au point de me faire questionner mon choix de poursuivre encore la série car je n'ai plus la foi des débuts. Certes, je m'amuse des parodies proposées (RPG et réseaux sociaux ici) mais c'est assez faiblement écrit et je n'en garde rien en mémoire après surtout... Je pense prochainement arrêter donc.

A relaxing read full of witches and magic, lots of funny and cute stories.
Akane tackling her punishment/mission with Inukai and Nihei is awesome, Nihei in action always a treat and I really like getting to know Akane more, she's famous for a reason, she's also super kind.
Mako and Chinatsu helping and their friends helping Autumn harbringer.
And my fav definitely Chinatsu's birthday party with Hamabe and everyone.
Definitely a fun and entertaining read.
