Can Richard let go of his financial obsessions to embrace a life filled with love?

Will Skyla see beyond her heartbreak to realize that sometimes, love finds you when you least expect it?

In this irresistibly steamy romance, delve into a world where the boundaries between business and pleasure blur, and where two hearts must decide if they're willing to risk it all for a chance at forever.

Six Weeks is a sweet exploration of love born from chance and tension. Richard and Skyla are complex without being overdone. The setup double booked accommodation might sound cliché, but Leon M A Edwards spins it into something heartfelt. The emotional tension simmers, the chemistry grows, and the story doesn’t rely solely on lust. A grounded yet passionate romance that doesn't insult your intelligence.

This book cleverly juxtaposes capitalism and emotion. Richard’s transformation from profit driven to emotionally open is a subtle commentary on the cost of ambition. Skyla’s character, with her hard earned grit, embodies modern feminine resilience. This is not just a romance, it’s a leadership case study in empathy, vulnerability, and human connection.

This story had me swooning. I love when two broken people find each other just when they need someone the most. Their awkward, tender beginnings fighting over the same rental made the blossoming romance all the more touching. You root for them because they're real, flawed, and just trying to make sense of love in the chaos of life.

I usually avoid romance novels, but Six Weeks surprised me. It doesn’t drown in melodrama. Richard’s arc successful but emotionally stuck felt relatable. The romantic tension felt natural, not forced. Edwards lets the characters grow into each other instead of rushing the spark. I'd actually recommend this to any guy curious about the emotional dynamics of modern love.

If this book were a film, it would be the lovechild of The Holiday and Love & Other Drugs. There’s drama, tension, chemistry, and that ticking clock sense that makes romantic stakes high. Skyla and Richard are written with cinematic flair each scene plays out like a screenplay, complete with scenic moments that beg for visual adaptation.

Beneath the romance is a compelling study in emotional healing. Skyla’s heartbreak and Richard’s emotional detachment offer a dual character study in grief, self worth, and resilience. Their forced proximity isn’t just a plot device it’s a crucible for emotional growth. A surprisingly therapeutic journey disguised as a steamy romantic tale.

Skyla is the kind of female lead I wish we saw more of. She's ambitious, wounded, and smart not defined by the men around her. And while Richard starts as your classic high powered alpha, his willingness to soften and listen feels refreshing. Edwards writes their power dynamic with respect and balance. Skyla isn’t saved she chooses.

Set with a quiet charm reminiscent of British countryside romance tales, Six Weeks blends wit with longing. There’s something Austenian about two prideful individuals being forced into each other’s orbits, unraveling slowly through shared space. Edwards may write in a contemporary voice, but his pacing and emotional intelligence nod to classic romantic tension.

Listening to Six Weeks felt like eavesdropping on an intimate love story. The characters inner dialogues are vivid and textured, making it ideal for narration. Skyla’s emotional struggle and Richard’s guarded intensity are captured with precision. It’s a romance that listens well especially during slow walks.

There’s an underlying commentary on social mobility and gendered power structures here. Richard represents the top of the financial pyramid, while Skyla battles her way up in a man’s world. Their convergence isn’t just romantic, it’s symbolic of worlds colliding, and how emotional connection can bridge even the deepest divides.

The shared accommodation setting adds more than tension, it’s a character in itself. Edwards' descriptions of space, minimalism vs. maximalism, and how personal surroundings reflect emotional states Deliciously layered.

As a queer reader, I appreciated that this heterosexual romance didn’t rely on toxic gender roles. Skyla is strong without being cold Richard is masculine without being emotionally unavailable. Their dynamic felt balanced and respectful.

Richard’s gradual emotional unmasking is compelling. It shows how emotional repression, often rewarded in business, hinders intimacy. Watching him unlearn this with Skyla’s help feels like witnessing successful inner work.

Edwards uses the forced proximity trope smartly, but what stood out was the character dialogue. It’s natural, snappy, and reveals inner motivations without dragging. I bookmarked whole conversations as writing references.

I usually don’t read romance, but this hooked me. The emotional depth and the avoidance of cheesy tropes made it feel real. The financial capitalist falling for the emotionally guarded stockbroker Oddly compelling.

Skyla’s modern struggles career ambitions, emotional exhaustion, independence felt relatable. It didn’t gloss over how messy life can be in your 30s, and I appreciated that. Plus, the sexual tension Very well done.

Though not overtly spiritual, Six Weeks touches on themes of redemption, forgiveness, and timing. The characters’ growth reminded me of divine alignment how sometimes the right person comes when you stop striving.

Bingeable. I finished it in one sitting. The pacing is tight, the tension palpable, and the romance rewarding. Perfect weekend read for when you want something escapist but grounded.

This reminded me that love can bloom at unexpected times and in unconventional ways. Age doesn’t dampen the thrill of connection, and this book had me rooting for both leads as if they were family.

I had high hopes for this book but unfortunately gave up reading it. It has many grammatical errors including issues with tenses that are incredibly distracting. What a shame.

This definitely felt like a poorly narrated book. It just wasn't my jam, and with it also being poorly edited, I just couldn't get into it. And then with the tiny comments like...

If I was black, I would date you. Not that I like you in that way, but you are genuine and don’t use your money or status to win people over.’ I joke with her, ‘You can always sit under a tanning bed until you are totally black.’

‘You know what? I do not know. You will have to come to my future retreats to keep up the pretence. Until I retire.’ I burst out laughing with her. ‘I will tell my wife I am away on business. Leave her with the kids.’ Skyla laughs uncontrollably. ‘I will tell my husband and kids that no husbands are aloud.’ We continue laughing at the thought.

They just really turned be off

Needs work

While the overall story was great, this novel needs a lot of work. There are numerous grammatical errors, spelling errors, punctuation errors, and just flat out wrong words and phrases. I hate leaving bad reviews, but if it was my novel and someone didn't let me know of all the issues I would be hurt and upset more. I would definitely fire my editor for missing as much as they did. Keep pushing through and things will get better.

Okay

I gave two stars as I got the concept behind the book but lousy writing. Even more so was the proof reading. It seems like there was none. There was countless paragraphs that were not in there proper order. Still can't believe that I continued till the end. If rewritten and proof read you would have a great book with interesting love story.

I didn’t expect much, but I was wrong. Despite its premise sounding like every rom com ever, the emotional stakes felt earned. These weren’t perfect characters they made dumb mistakes, said the wrong things, but that made their connection feel real.

Read it in one day. Premise was good, characters might have been interesting if the writing was better. This book needed a good editor to even make it worth the read.
