They called us vampires. If only that were the truth.
My name is Amaya De la Vega. I’m a former patient at Crimson Hollow, an institute for those infected with the vampire virus. After the virus was cured, we thought our problems were over. Now we realize they’re just beginning.
Lucian Vidraru was branded with many labels. But he’s desperate to save me—and everyone once infected with the virus. The cure wasn’t what we’d expected. We need a solution before our newfound powers possess us. People fear us—and for good reason.
They called us vampires. Now, the world will finally know the full extent of our abilities, which could destroy us all…

Amaya has only ever wanted to live a peaceful life with Lucian but she fears that it will never happen. A new danger is on the horizon and this time Lucian might not be able to stop them. Amaya knew that there was something wrong with the couple that wanted to help them she knew that they couldn’t be trusted. Now she is locked away far from everyone she cares about. She thought that things can’t be like before but this time the experiments are worse and she knows that she needs to escape before it is too late. But will she be able to find her way back to Lucian? Lucian has lived many lifetimes and he always feared falling in love & getting married again as his blood killed his family. He can’t imagine losing Amaya and he won’t stop until he finds her. Will they get their second chance? Great characters good storyline. Amaya & Lucian make a good couple as they both bring out the best in each other. They have both been through so much and they just want to help others. Thank you Netgalley & the publisher for the ARC copy. This is my voluntary review
Another fascinating book. It was interesting to see what the characters (who of course are variations of mythical creatures) were doing after the end of book 1. Of course nothing in their life can be easy with a kidnapping, experiments on people, and denials of love. It was an enjoyable read.
I really like the book I haven't read the first one yet but I will when I get a chance I will be reading the first one too hopefully there's more to go after this one keep up the good work and thank you for signing the book I really liked it
