Magic can be destroyed, but resurrection comes at a price.
When the Shadow Council chamber is destroyed and the members are reeling from the betrayal, they learn the only location with similar power, is located on Shifter lands.
Caton begs me to help the people of Ravenholde, more importantly, the council, in negotiating a treaty that allows a rebuild. But the ancient God ravaging our town has already proved he can infect the strongest of our people, and trust is a commodity none of us possess.
Do I help the council and try to restore relations with my coven, or risk losing the trust of the Shifters, and my only ally.
Eve once again can’t catch a break. When one of her friends set out too take everything away from her, even her life. Very interesting story that I enjoyed. Love Eve & Hunter together. Can’t wait too read what will happen next.
I voluntarily reviewed this ARC in exchange for an honest review.
Ayesha, once friend to Eve and mentor, now Eve must get the ones that the older Fae woman had loaned her within two days. The Shadow Council chambers is blown up and e find out who did it. Hunter andEve are officially together and eve is no longer part of the Ravenholde coven. Eve’s parents are a piece of work and blame her for not being dead, which is is what happens when a witch is cut off from a coven. Caton, Eve’s ex is on the council and is a jerk, as his Lucinda, the head of the witch’s coven. They both need a major eat down in my opinion. They think they don’t stink. ….
Eve has saved countless lives using what Ayesha taught her, by combining witchcraft and Fae magics in her potions, which make them stronger. Things come to a head and her supplies for her potions are cut off. I adore the demon on the Council, Carnell. Maybe it is because he is an incubus but there is just something about him. Nishi and Faith are awesome and are Eve’s peeps as well as one of the reasons she isn’t dead. Rerek, aka Apep aka Apophis is the big bad in the series. The whole series is a must read. The fight scenes are awesome. They were so good and graphic I almost got sick but then I was eating at the time. Lol. Eve gets her but kicked so many times in this book, that I had to sit on a pillow in sympathy.
I don’t know how she is going to make enough of the potion cure to combat Rerek’s virus since it is having such a break out and she has no way of getting the items she needs to make it. Someone needs to tell the people of the shop that it wasn’t her fault the person they are upset about died. That it was Rerek’s fault. Argh.
The whole series is a must read.

Great characters and non-stop action, true friendship, great romance
This book has it all:
--It pulls you into its world immediately.
--It gives you interesting, believable characters to care about and root for.
--It gives you varied characters to dislike. They're selfish, greedy, vicious, cruel or dangerous, or some combination thereof.
--It has a beautiful, realistic love story between a shifter and a witch.
--It has strong, skilled women who are real people finding their way in the world. They have multi-faceted personalities: they are independent, reliable, responsible, and generous; they meet challenges with courage and determination; they form meaningful, lasting friendships that evolve as they do; they are responsible, contributing members of the community using their talents and interests for the greater good.
--It has strong, intelligent men who respect others and are fair, generous, and interesting people. They have the same positive attributes as the strong women do.
--It has all types of paranomals, each type with its own attributes. It's interesting to see how they interact with their own kind and with the other types. Each type of paranormal has both honorable and dishonorable individuals. Each significant paranormal in the story is a well-developed character.
--The action only stops for team development and relationship development, and each gives rise to more action.
--You're raring to read the next book in the series as soon as you finish this one.
Our heroine is presented with a difficult choice. Does she help her old coven and possibly risk the trust of her new allies? Or does she turn her back on the coven forever? This one is going to require a fine balancing act.
This is book three of the series, but it works pretty well as a standalone. The essential bits are covered early on.
This is a paranormal romance story with witches, vampires, shifters and the whole lot. The story is well written and easy to read with a plot that nonetheless has a lot going on. The setting is well developed and quite intriguing, so I am definitely looking forward to exploring over several books. The characters are equally well done. I definitely like our heroine which is a good thing as she is the focus of our story. But she has an excellent cast, both good and bad, to go with her. Add in a plot with plenty of mystery and intrigue and, of course, magic. Overall, this was an exciting addition to the series and I look forward to seeing what comes next.
Highly recommended.

I love this series. Action packed, with just the right amount of steam between Eve and Hunter. I like Eve. She has her fair share of problems and doubts. We get to meet her parents. You will love to hate them. What they did especially her mother is unforgivable. I love Hunter. Very protective of Eve, yet he lets her be her. Not interfering with her who she is. Carnell is always a delight. I am glad he was able to help Eve the way he did. We hear again from Alesha and how she wants to destroy Eve. We learn the reason for this. Of course Nishi and Faith are there to help. I love how they are so supportive of Eve and how they go about helping her. Emotionally and physically. As with all great series this book should be read in order. And there is a cliffhanger . Can't wait for the next book. We learn more about Faith.

A pretty well written paranormal, erotica, fantasy story. Eve is a divorced witch who has been thrown out of her coven, and with the help of her friend she manages to stand up on her feet. As the story proceeds we see how Rerek's evil has found its way to her friend and mentor and how things can escalate to worse in one day. We see how the paranormal world cooperates with each other and how Eve's family rejects her as she falls in love with the head of the wolves and how she has managed so much out of coven. You can feel Eve emotions about her family, Hunter, her friends Nishi and Faith and her shop. The story keeps you till the end and i can not wait to read more..highly recommend it.

Eve hits wall after wall with the Shrouded Nation limiting information about the virus that has infected them
The members and certain places of power have been widely infected snd affected
new hybrids that seem set on greed or vengeance wreak havoc, while old fears and allies pose different threats, especially to a sense of safety or self confidence
Can Eve and her true allies save the Shrouded Nation? will existing personally conflicts, grabs for power or greed prove lethal?
small minded revenge with lack of knowledge will leave many vulnerable
an ongoing drama, romance and battle plagued adventures and romance.

Eve has her hands full. After being kicked out of her coven, she did not shrivel up and die like they expected to. She is feeling the rejection, however, and when Ayesha, her mentor, calls in her debt, she doesn't know how she's going to repay it. Ugh. Her ex is still a pain, but luckily she still has her girls, Nishi and Faith, and her new beau Hunter by her side. Like I said, she has her hands full.
This richly detailed story about a woman in her midlife rebuilding after losing everything is beautifully written. I'm thoroughly enjoying the series. Warning, though: these are not stand alone books. This one is quite worthy of the one click.

Loving this series! Things are going from bad to worse in the Shrouded Nation and also in Eve's life. Her mentor and loan holder has turned on her and she may lose her business - and her life. The Council House and the ley line intersection it was built on have been damaged, perhaps irrevocably. More beings are getting the virus and she is being run ragged. Also, could she stop geting her butt kicked? Then, to top it off, her parents turn on her. The only thing going right is her relationship with Hunter and her close ties with Faith and Nishi. Just when she thinks things can't get worse.... they do.
I was given an advanced copy of this book by the author. My review is voluntary.
Eve is still getting the run around by those who think that they're better than her which just makes it easier for her to prove them wrong. It's harder when it's family but she has some awesome friends and an Alpha boyfriend with attitude to back her up now. It's a pity she's still having to fight though when she's just trying to help. Especially when one of her oldest friends gets taken over by the evil and not everyone seems to see what she can. Good thing her back up is getting stronger too.

Action, emotions abound, blooming love, and of course hatred. Eve still feels less then nothing even with the friends she has made. Her once mentor is not helping. Her ex and Lucinda are still at it with her, until he needs her help. What will she do if she loses everything? Not the God of Chalos is out to get her? Can she help everyone or will others get in the way. She should be dead after being kicked out of the coven and others let her know.

I am getting tired of her self depricati0n... especially after her mentor is dead and she is saying why didn't she see it? Ahhhhhh, she did, quite awhile back..... and this is not the first time things are not jiving out:( There is quite a bit of inconsistencies. I also have to wonder why noone has rechecked the cave where the "god" was with his minions?? Then there's the guilt trip of not sharing the cure.... but she said it was a combo of fae and witch magic that nobody else can do... it is starting to be quite conflicting.
I love these books. This one didn't quite do it for me, but I think perhaps I was just not in the mood for it at the time. Eve just can't catch a break. It's non-stop, one thing after another to the point, you know... "Oh, here we're go again.". There were some grammar issues, but I was able to bypass them without ruining the story.
I really felt for Eve, especially this time around. She really got put through the wringer. I felt angry and frustrated for her!
Will be continuing with the series, and hopefully, things will go a little better for her once in a while!
This is a really good series. I enjoyed reading the book and I recommend it. The story my attention, and I love the main characters and their friends. While this is a really good book, I don't feel like it's as good as the first two. The parts with Lucinda and Caton are feeling repetitive, as is Eve's lack of confidence. I would also like to see the relationship between Hunter and Eve progress more.
I am loving this series. Nothing ever seems to go our female mc, Eve our midlife witch’s way. It’s a fantastic, exciting and thrilling adventure with incredible world building that just gets better with each book as does the story. There is off the charts chemistry and so much steam between Eve and Hunter as they also try to find the cure to save their town. Action, adventure, drama, romance, it’s intriguing and addictive and I just can’t put it down.
This was an amazing read that had me chewing my thumb nail to pieces and incredible amounts of anxiety reading and loving the twists and turns that surrounded me while reading this book. The characters have such depth and the way they twist around your heart and hold on.
This series is not one to be forgotten and although I never want it to end I need the next book and my questions answered. A brilliant addition.
I just love this series. The main focus is on Eve and Hunter in this book, but for full enjoyment, read books 1&2 first. The world building just keeps getting better, and the entire cast of characters is Great. I Love the Shrouded Nation, and can hardly wait for more! I Loved It!!! No Spoilers!.

This is the third book in this series so do read the first two to reading Eve's story. One of her friends set out to take everything away from her, including her life. I can't help but wonder if Eve will ever have things go her way. The storyline is interesting and flows well. What will happen next I wonder?
There is never a dull moment in Eve's story as she can't catch a break. I really like Eve and Hunter together. They are an amazing duo who have plenty of steam between them. I am enjoying the continued world building and all the incredible characters. The continued drama, adventure and romance is intriguing and I can't wait for the next book.
Eve is the only to make the cure for the virus. But now, Ayesha is calling in her loan for The Blue Moon in less than two days. Eve is stunned by this from her friend and mentor. Hunter wants to take care of Eve inspire of her being a witch. What are Rerek's plans? Can Eve's cure help The Shrouded Nation? Find out in Sweet Magical Destruction.
this was a strong third entry in the Shrouded Nation series, it had what I enjoyed from the previous two book. The characters worked with the rest of the book and I enjoyed what I read. It left me wanting to read more in the Shrouded Nation universe.

This dynamic duo has done a great job with this third installment of Shrouded Nation. The character work and story line were well written and kept me hooked from start to finish. I can't wait to see what happens next.

Biggest issue solved, Why did Eve marry Caton? Wow! Awful parents. Just mean and awful. Eve married him to escape her family! No college, etc. She goes from teen at home to a handsome guy asking her out and marrying him. There is also far too much running around for no specific reason! A great story with people showing up everywhere.
This story was heartbreaking, I wish it could have ended differently. So much happens to Eve and so many times the actions of the other characters had me scared. Wow, a very thrilling read with heartbreak added in. I would recommend this book and series.

Ok, I started this series because the other 30 I am currently reading are all caught up. It came as a recommendation from Kindle. Now I am hooked, they just get better and better. Main character is comming into her own finally and takes a hard hit loosing her mentor. I think this might be great but will hold judgment until I am further in.
Eve and Hunter are getting closer in their relationship. More supernaturals are getting sick from the virus propagated by the evil god. The pressures on Eve increase as the council begins to see that she is the only one who can do difficult and important jobs. I like the action, humor, and romance. I look forward to the next book.
