Thrust into one possible future where all their friends and loved ones are dead, Nicole and Melany try to figure out how to return to their time and change the course of history. But neither of them have full control of their powers. Nicole can’t be sure where she’d jump them next—another trip to the Jurassic Park, no thank you!--and Melany’s still angry about being taken from her eternal bliss with the God of Darkness that she can’t seem to focus on anything else. Aided by someone they never thought to see in this place, they are given the surprising information about who’s behind the mortal uprising, and now they need to use every ounce of their combined powers to save the academy from destruction.
With their friends either captured or injured and all the portals closed, Cade and Lucian search for a way back to the academy to prepare for an impending war with the mortals. A note from the future gives Cade hope that they can protect the academy and that he will reunite with Nicole again. But nothing is ever that simple, and the two heroes face more challenges than they’d ever seen before. By the time they reach the academy, they are well aware that it is not just a battle against the mortals but a fight for the fate of them all.

Elisa S. Amore is the author of the paranormal romance saga Touched. She wrote the first book while working at her parents’ diner, dreaming up the story between one order and the next. She lives in Italy with her husband, her son, and a pug that sleeps all day. She’s wild about pizza and traveling, which is a source of constant inspiration for her. She dreamed up some of the novels’ love scenes while strolling along the canals in Venice and visiting the home of Romeo’s Juliet in romantic Verona. Her all-time favorite writer is Shakespeare, but she also loves Nicholas Sparks. She prefers to do her writing at night, when the rest of the world is asleep and she knows the stars above are keeping her company. She’s now a full-time writer of romance and young adult fiction. In her free time she likes to read, swim, walk in the woods, and daydream. She collects books and animated movies, all jealously guarded under lock and key. Her family has nicknamed her “the bookworm.” After its release, the first book of her saga quickly made its way up the charts, winning over thousands of readers. Touched: The Caress of Fate is her debut novel and the first in the four-book series originally published in Italy by one of the country’s leading publishing houses. The book trailer was shown in Italian movie theaters during the premiere of the film Twilight: Breaking Dawn—Part 2.
I loved this entire series! I love that they meet future Iris and how he helps them. I hate that the mortals know how to control the demigods and how they’re using them against each other. Hades is a badass and I love how he just popped in and ended the battle. I’m so glad everyone was reunited and I love that Hades has a new job and him and Melanie get to be together forever now. So sad this series is over but it was so amazing!
I enjoyed this series overall. I’m no prude but the sex scenes were entirely unnecessary to the plot and really limited the audience of the book overall as portions became more “erotica” than young adult fiction. The final book was anticlimactic and there were multiple attempts to inject the climate change agenda, which were annoying and ineffective. honestly, the overall plot is rushed and not sufficiently built. Ending the series after Nicole’s story probably would’ve been a better finality to things.
Some things just need to stay dead. Added no further intrigue to the story. Characters seemed flat. We get it, young love. Lots and lots of eye rolling in this book. A poor wrap up from the first part of Nicole's story. Did not continue to do her talents justice. She felt forgotten and everything hyper focused on a dead character that was pathetic. Melany is probably one of the worst written characters I've read in a while.
Last book in a great series. Nicole, Cassandra and Melany do some time travel to see if they can help the teams make it back to the academy. This is the last big battle. The humans vs the academy. Nicole and her team can’t stop the battle. It’s being lead by a god. Everyone is back together only for the battle to start. Will the humans destroy the academy and the gods and demigods? Check out this epic conclusion.
To say I love these books would be an understatement! I literally read book 1-11 in 2 days and I finished 12 in less than a day. These books are so captivating and witty and just overall amazing. If there we 1000 stars, Kiera Legend and Elisa S. Amore, I would give you all of them. Thank you for the journey!!
Nicole found Melany and brought her back. But Melany is confused and out of control. A jump to the future reveals a war that they end up losing. Trying to get back to their friends, they leave clues along the way. And the final battle is one for the ages, with a surprising guest appearance.
What a great ending to a wonderful series. I'm sad it's ending but I felt it ended well. Melany and Hades got the lives they deserved. Nicole and Cade as well. All of our favorite recruits got a fitting farewell. My only complaint is the whiplash of going back and forth between the different viewpoints. It was a bit much and really frustrating at times.
It was a good ending. It kept your main characters intact. Personally I would have taken promrhiousi aside and reversed time to reenact what he did then maybe the acadamey remained.but then Hades and Melanie would still be dead.
Had me from the start. Love how all her books just pick up where they left off. I really enjoyed getting all the characters point of views. really liked how it ended with no cliffhangers lol. recommend 100% Always a fun adventure with melany and nicole!
I cheated and skipped Nicole’s story but it was easy enough to continue without it. The final wrap up was a decent conclusion to a point, authors left it at a place they could return if they do felt the need.
I'm not one who reads much, however when I started the read they caught my attention. They are cleverly written to where you just can't put it down and you can't wait to see where the adventure takes you. Can't wait to read more by this author.
Really enjoyed this entire series- it kept me coming back for more! Actually picked it up for my daughter, although it is little much for tweens, I thought it was great for me!
Devoured this series. It was fun and quick moving. I’ve always loved Greek mythology and this was a good read with enough in the series I didn’t feel cheated when it ended.
The storyline is well put together with unexpected plot twists. I loved how the personalities came alive and interacted with each other! Didn't want it to end!
I love this series, I'm sad to see it end. I will definitely be devouring more of these writers books in the future. Maybe there will be more like the academy.
