Mark Ekland's act of kindness to an injured alien sets him on a path he never could have imagined in his wildest dreams. Already worldly-wise as a retired aeronautical communications engineer, he finds himself once more travelling the globe in one strange encounter after another. Finding himself getting younger, not older, is not quite the blessing one might assume. He is heartbroken when pushed to fake his own death in order to remove himself from friends and family. However, he cannot prevent characters from his past occasionally turning up and causing him problems.
